Reina stared down at her Magikarp sternly, it hadn't been more than a few days since the seemingly retarded pokemon attached itself -literally- to her. Or more accurately to her hair. At the moment he was calm, allowing her to hold him without complaint. As she started he just stared back with that dull spaced-out look of his. Reina scowled, she had always wanted a pokemon but why did her first pokemon have to be this pokemon. Oh sure she knew that it might evolve into a gyarados one day, but that would take a long time to happen, if it happened at all. She groaned audibly, cursing her luck. " why are you so lame?" she asked, meaning it as a rhetorical question and not expecting an answer at all. The water pokemon just wiggled a bit and continued staring at her while uttering an occasinal "karp karp"

Shikari was practicing battling with Chiyo a short distance away. During one such practice attack, Chiyo got too far away and smashed full force into Reina. "Chiyo, what happened?" Shikari came quickly but carefully towards where she had heard the 'thunk', afraid her Blitzle might be injured.

Reina yelped with surprise, and a little pain, when a random Blitzle smacked into her, knocking her over and causing Aquarius to fly from her grip and land in the shallows of the lake where he lay splashing out. Reina sat back up and robed her head groaning. she looked up and saw the Blitzle that had been responsible for the accident " ugh, why me? why is it always me?" she lamented under her breath and stood up. She was too preoccupied with her own seemingly endless misfortune and confusion over the Bliztle to notice the girl that was approaching

Shikari heard the girl and picked up her pace. "Oh, gosh, I'm sorry!" she apologized. Head on collision, she guessed. "Are you okay?" Half-tripping on a root, she almost fell into the lake herself. Chiyo looked a little dizzy but shook it off pretty quickly and nuzzled the person she'd run into - an apology of sorts, as well.

"whoa there, lets not fall into the lake" she said reaching out a hand to steady the girl. in response to the girls question Reina nodded " yeah im fine, just surprised me is all." Reina turned her head to look at the Bliztle that was now nuzzling her and patted it on the head

"You guys fishing too? I hear something splashing over there..." Shikari pointed in the Karp's general direction. "but I'm having no luck."
Chiyo enjoyed the petting for a moment, then trotted over to investigate whatever it was her trainer was pointing at.

Reina looked where she pointed and grimaced, she had forgotten about the fish Pokemon in all the excitement. Making her way over she shook her head ' oh no, that's my Magikarp Aquarius." after scooping up the pokemon she realized the girl must not have seen the pokemon, she had pointed it out but she had spoken as if she could not see what had been splashing.... "um i dont mean to be rude but... your blind aren't you?" she asked, feeling uncharacteristically shy.

"Yeah," Shikari replied, unfazed. "I have been since I was born, so I'm used to it. I'm hoping to find a surgeon who can fix me, though." Chiyo bumped her with a soft nose. "OK, silly," Shikari giggled, picking her up and burying her nose in Chiyo's sun-scented mane. "So...what's a Magikarp? Another pokemon?"

Reina nodded, then caught herself and replied "yhea, well i hope you find one! and if ever i hear about a surgeon who can do that ill be sure to track you down and let you know" she said kindly. Walking over to where Aquarius was splashing around she bent down and picked it up then walked back over to Shikari " yhea, its a Pokemon. Its kinda like a big useless fish, their really not good for much and the only thing they do is flail around. But they evolve into a really cool Pokemon called Gyardos, which is super strong." she explained " would you like to touch him?" she asked holding him with arms extended toward Shikari

Shikari set her Blitzle back down and reached out. "Yeah, it's a fish, all right. Sure feels like one, anyway." A quick but gentle feel-over told her much about the pokemon. "Thanks for the offer. I'd appreciate the help like you wouldn't believe." Chiyo sniffed the Magikarp curiously. "Hey, Chiyo....speaking of fish....would you like to try wading in the water?" The zebra pokemon seemed startled, but she trusted her trainer, so she didn't answer right away, mulling it over.
