Shortly after this first wave of thread Enyo found herself more shy and afraid to have Jineth outside. However she didn't want to keep her dragon inside where the sun and the open air were. Enyo gathered her flints and the 6 of them went and collected meat scraps for a visit to Wykla. Enyo along the way took her Jineth from her napping area and then they left to find Wykla.

Enyo knew she needed some one to talk to and her closest, or more the one that she has spoken to the most, friend. She went outside to the clifs looking for the large blue Dragon.

Wykla was trying to keep occupied. Her injuries limited her activities severely and kept her in her weyr. She always had at least two flits on her bed when she didn't have them all. It didn't help that Kameth was also weyrbound. She laid on her belly in the cot next to his wallow, with five lumps on the bed, watching the blue shift trying to ease his hindquarters.

She sighed. With an irritated flick she sent a hide scattering across the floor. The bronze Boreal waddled up to her pillow and hummed at her. The young teen smiled and stretched a finger out to scratch his eyeridges. She watched as the eyes half closed and the flit nearly melt.

Enyo found her way to where Wykla was resting. She softly knocked at the door, "Wykla? You in there?"

Enyo opened the door as she walked in with the food for Wykla and her flints carrying the bowls of Meat scraps. Enyo smiled at Wykla and walked close, "I brought food for you, and your Dragon, of coarse I remembered about your Flints too."

Wykla looked up at the sound of knocking, and five small heads popped up from her bed orientating on the noise. She made a hushing sound at the flits.

"I'm back in Kameth's weyr, come on back." It sounds like Enyo, she thought to herself. She hid a smile as the girl herself came into sight. Her flits spotted the bowl of meat scraps and set up a chorus in delight. Wykla chuckled a bit, "you'd better come all the way in or they might maul you." She was teasing. Her flits were better trained than that, and they weren't starving.

She shifted slowly into a sitting position with a grateful grin. "Thanks Enyo. That helps a lot. Go ahead and put the bowl on the floor for the firelizards and the other by Kameth. It'll help tide him over until one of the greens can bring him a whole beast." Her eye glanced down were the five flits had lined up on the edge of her bed with eyes whirling red and watching Enyo avidly.

Enyo nodded to her flits as three put bowl for Kameth closer to the dragon and the other two put the bowl for the flits down. Enyo smiled and took the tray she was carrying closer to Wykla; it had a small bowl of broth with noddles and some her cooked meat like she had made one the first times she and Wykla hung out. Also on the plate was some mashed potatoes and veggies.

She looked at Wykla's five flints and thought only too funny she now had five of her own. Though she stuffed her five before trusting them not to eat the scraps for Wykla and her 'mouths'. Jineth was behind Enyo, the green still small enough to fit through the door way. Jineth gave a soft chrip like sound as she looked around the area. Enyo's flints moved to sit around the little dragon.

"Wykla," Enyo started in a soft voice, "I hope its alright I brought my Jineth to meet you and Kameth. Sorry I hadn't before hand, also sorry we didn't come see you right away."

Wykla exerted stern mental control over the flits while they waited for the bowls to be placed. Once the other flits were firmly out of the way, she gave them the go ahead. The female flits had no problem zooming in and stuffing their faces. Boreal looked back up at her and cheeped. She smiled, "it's alright Boreal. Go eat too. Enyo brought me dinner aswell." Affectionately she patted the flit on his bottom to send him to the bowl.

With the firelizards safely occupied, Wykla turned her attention back to Enyo and her crew. "You've done well training them." She gave approval at the flits carrying the bowls. The scents from the plate made her mouth water. "That smells great. Thanks for taking the time to bring it yourself." She settled the tray across her lap so nothing would spill.

"Hm?" Her eyes glanced curiously to the young green. "Ain't no problem. He's been a bit stir crazy lately. Hello Jineth."

Kameth looked mildly surprised to see his unusual servers. However, he wasn't going to complain. He waited until the flits had set the bowl down then trilled a thanks before starting in. Three flits couldn't carry enough for a single meal, but it was a nice treat. Better than waiting until an adult dragon was free to bring him a meal. Greetings Jineth. Thank you to you and Yours.

Jineth gave a soft thrill as Kameth thanked them. You are welcome, Mine has been quiet worried for yours and you.

Enyo smiled, "Well I decided it would be a good excuse to come see you." She smiled as she softly sat on the edge the bed near Wykla's feet. She looked to her flints and Green before looking back to Wykla, "How are you two doing? ...Since Thread did get you a bit, I was very revealed to hear you and your Dragon were only mildly hit as apposed to some others..." Enyo finished her thought in her head so she wouldn't talk to long. She wanted to think of the good things right now and not the bad.

Kameth quickly licked the bowl clean, and crossed his forelegs. Our wounds were fairly minor. They are healing well if slowly. There is enough room in my wallow, should you wish to come be comfortable while ours talk. His eyes whirled a slow blue.

She chuckled gently, "aye. The drudges can be slow sometimes and the food is only luke warm at best." Eagerly she took several bites of her soup. The hot broth and noodles were delicious. Wykla wiped a drop of broth from her chin before replying. "We're doing well enough if bored out of our minds. Kameth was itching to fly before half a day was up." She glanced at the blue before looking back at Enyo.

"You and us both. It's more inconvenient than anything else. I can't sleep on my back, and Kameth has to let his wings and rump heal." She nodded gently. "Yeah we were a couple of the lucky ones."

Jineth softly moved closer to the large blue as more room to stretch sounded good. She had the two green flints on her back now as they snuggled to sleep. Thank you, is it alright these two stay on my back?

Enyo smiled, "If you want I can come visit more when I can. I'm trying to get use to the change in my sleeping quarters. So I'm quiet active lately."
She smiled letting time pass so Wykla could eat more while the food was still fresh.

"I fear letting her outside since I heard Thread had fallen. Is it true this fall was a first wave? I've heard many people whispering saying more will come." Enyo had fear written all over her face as she looked to her Jineth.
Jineth looked to Enyo and gave a soft purr, I am safe so Mine need not be afraid.

Kameth watched the younger green. Who knew how long Hers would be staying. She might as well be comfortable. He eyed the flits. There is no problem with them. Quite honestly he was use to being covered in flits himself.

Wykla wasted no time in wolfing down her food. She would certainly speak to the drudges about getting up here promptly or she'd see about extra chores for them. There was no reason she shouldn't have hot food too, without being in the infirmary.

"Sounds good, if you're not too busy." She glanced at the green beside her blue. Wykla remembered how much work a young dragon was. "Remember a dragonrider's purpose Enyo. We protect everyone from Thread. Besides, it's not as if Thread falls all the time. If you're paying attention you should be able to see the grey cloud on the horizon that means Thread is coming." If only more had been paying attention that day; they might not have lost so many.

"I've never heard of Thread just falling once. Go check the record room." Wykla gave a shrug, "I've no idea if this was really the first or not. We weren't exactly keeping an eye out of it. It could have fallen anywhere and we didn't know about it." The girl pointed her utensil at the other girl. "Mark my words Enyo. It's best to be prepared than surprised. Assume Thread will fall again and be ready for it. Don't let it catch you with your britches down." Wykla said nothing about anyone who said it wouldn't fall again. That it was only a freak occurrence. Sharding idiots they were. It would only get her into trouble to speak her mind on that.

Enyo nodded listening to Wykla as she looked around a bit. "Well I don't mind bringing you hot food and I can see about finding your Kameth larger food to be brought at the same time." She smiled softly.

Jineth looked at the large blue, Yours and Mine look a lot alike though Mine is a bit taller.
PostPosted: Thu Apr 19, 2012 11:01 pm

The blue rider cast a dirty look toward the door, and the 'invisible' drudges there. "I think you should make them haul the animal up themselves either dead or alive. Teach them it would." Wykla chuckled to herself, it would be very satisfactory to watch knowing they had had it easy just bringing her dinner. She looked back at the other girl.

"I wouldn't worry about it too much. It's not like he can't leave the wallow. A little movement is allowed. If you wanted to really help with feeding him, you could have Jineth scare some of the herdbeasts to him so he didn't have to chase them." She grinned at the comical thought of the young green helping out. "Really though, bringing food for the flits is more than enough help."

Kameth opened a lazy eye to regard the girls. He'd never thought about it much before. I suppose so.

Enyo smiled, "I might try both, have the people be like a path setter and have Jineth get some air while chasing the heard beast." Enyo had a funny picture in her mind of the people trying to scare the heard beast as Jineth chases it t Kameth.

Well have you seen their eyes? They are the same though one has the look like its grown up and the other is still young with in. Jineth looked to the blue as she wondered if her ever saw his' eyes.

Wykla chuckled. "That might just be entertaining to watch. Not today I think thought. Got another rider dropping off a meal for him later today, but in a couple days for sure. Say Enyo, next time you come, bring some dice and we can play a bit." She grinned. A game or twice of dice would be nice and shouldn't be too strenuous for her healing wounds.

Kameth twitched his tail in slight irritation. I have not been able to examine Yours. He pointed out to the green. Many riders have something in common in others.

(My reply is gone... It was there last night....)

Jineth tilted her head, Well No one else has the same eyes as these two or the same facial expressions...Mine has shown me much of yours since Mine thinks of yours as a closer friend then others.

Enyo smiled, "Still If you would like the company I'll be happy to come by more."
