Blood Color: #a65300 (orange)
Gender: boiiii
Symbol:

Personality: Vulpin loves and lives for mind games. To him, life is a game, a series of challenges of different intensities strung together for his own amusement. And Vulpin doesn't even play by the rules. He's not afraid to get dirty, whether it concerns sketchy tactics in battles or digging up dirt on his enemies. He'd dig up dirt on the queen if he got the chance. Vulpin would easily accept a bribe from another troll to do their dirty work, hell he'd be flattered that they came to him. He enjoys outwitting and scamming others, and he'll take from just about anyone, regardless of caste. Stealing isn't even necessary for his survival— he just does it for the "trophy" he gets from a successful theft.
Vulpin tends to keep an emotional distance from other trolls. When Vulpin does interact with other trolls, he often comes off as a snarky brat. Vulpin makes almost no effort to cover his smug, self-righteous attitude. He's not afraid to butt heads with another troll, because in Vulpin's mind, if the opposing troll doesn't immediately lose to his immense wisdom, then they'll just have to fall eventually. And Vulpin loves a challenge. Vulpin prefers the company of those who will sharpen his wit, rather than dull it. Sure, Vulpin will take full advantage of any troll with an IQ low enough, but to him, they're just boring tools.
If there's one thing that boils Vulpin's blood, it's being belittled, patronized, and/or underestimated. This the reason he's considered hemoanonymity, because he can't stand it when others underestimate his abilities because of his low blood. If you do underestimate him, you can be sure he'll prove you wrong. You just can't guarantee you'll be in one piece after the whole ordeal, and if you're missing a few things around the hive, well, you brought it on yourself. Vulpin is among the vainest of the vain, and insulting him or anything about him will put you smack dab in the middle of danger road, where Vulpin's a sixteen-wheeler barreling toward you at mach speed.
Vulpin makes his living by fur trapping. This requires a lot of hard work and quick thought process, as many of Alternia's beasts can be quite fierce. Vulpin is developing a strong mind and a diligent nature from this work. This diligent nature can be quite destructive in his profession simply because he cannot stand giving up, and he prides himself in thinking he can maneuver his way out of any bad situation (when he really can't). He's got a decent amount of scratches and bites from particularly bad hunts.
(ignore this teen stuff for now)
Vulpin's thief identity is the self-dubbed "Vixeni". Vulpin takes a lot of extreme measures to keep his two identities separate. For instance he prefers hemoanonymity because if "Vixeni" were to leave blood at the scene of a theft, no one could trace it back to him. Vulpin even adopts a different gender identity as a thief, so others rule him out as a suspect simply because of different genders. Vixeni often steals during dusk and dawn, when other trolls are snuggling into their recuperacoons. She sticks to the shadows (Vulpin even has hidden maps for the safest, shadiest routes depending on the perigee) and wears a protective suit and sunglasses, but even with all of these precautions, the sun has taken its toll on Vulpin's eyes. He doesn't like to admit it, but his eyesight isn't as good as the average troll. He's nowhere close to being blind, but his bad eyesight can sometimes get him into sticky situations both when he's fur trapping and when he's stealing shoes.
Strengths:
—Cunning
Vulpin prides himself in his natural cunning. He loves to outsmart furbeasts and other trolls alike. He uses his intelligence to get the best profit from fur trapping and outwits other vendors for bargains on food and other supplies. He loves a good puzzle, and actually enjoys finding his way out of sticky situations sometimes.
—Hardworking
A good work ethic is a necessity according to Vulpin. After all, you can't be a lazy fur trapper on a planet like Alternia! He always works as often as possible until there is no more work to be done. If a troll gives him an order and he respects them, he'll put everything aside to get that job done for them.
—Bold
For a kid, Vulpin is exceptionally fearless. Foxhounddad taught him from a very young age that fear is dangerous, and should be concealed at all costs. Because of this, Vulpin will tackle almost any task head-on without hesitation.
Flaws:
—Distant
Vulpin is very much an introverted kid. He lives in a secluded hive in the plains and he likes it that way. He finds other kids to be grubby and annoying, and would much rather do something else with his time than play with others.
—Headstrong
Vulpin's used to taking care of things himself, as his lusus taught him the fur trapping trade at a very early age. Vulpin puts himself in the line of danger daily, and he despises giving up. He's stubborn and feels like he knows everything, and can't stand it when others try to give input on how to do something better. He hates it when others try to help him, and often will lash out unexpectedly at them for doing so.
—Materialistic
Vulpin is a little trickster who gets pride from winning material goods off of others. This little habit will develop into a stealing habit, but in its early stages Vulpin simply enjoys outwitting others for their trinkets. Vulpin doesn't really care about the hemospectrum, because he knows that he can outsmart a highblood just as well as a lowblood. He judges other trolls almost strictly by their appearance. He doesn't judge them on their fashion sense per se, but how well put together they are (basically, he judges books by their covers).
Weapon: daggerkind
He owns lots of hunting daggers for his profession, so he uses them in battle too.
Appearance: (see right)
Vulpin is a tiny thing, sporting a large black poncho with v-cuts and white borders, symbol plastered on the center of the poncho. Underneath the poncho, he wears a black tank top and black shorts. His legs are wrapped up in bandages from his knees to the balls of his feet, giving his toes wiggle room to climb and such.
Hive: A charming little hut on the NHC plains, which allows him to keep distance from the city at night when he's hunting, but he's close enough to the city to find easy targets often. Hidden under a secret trapdoor in his hive is a series of burrows (cutely dubbed "foxholes" by Vulpin) leading to vaults holding his treasures. The burrows are very dark and confusing, often crisscrossing, many holding booby traps. Even Vulpin sometimes forgets the routes, though he won't admit it.
Lusus: Sly-fox-hound
Foxhound-dad taught Vulpin how to fur trap, and inspired Vulpin's shoe obsession. Instead of wearing the shoes, Sly-fox-hound would eat them. Sly-fox-hound was prone to nabbing shoes to feed his insatiable appetite for them, and Vulpin observed this behavior as a wriggler and developed the habit. Sly-fox-hound's appetite has gone down quite a bit, but he doesn't have a good relationship with Vulpin anymore because he still tends to chew on his shoes.
