Appearance:  She also has molten gold eyes and a lovely vine tattoo with red fire flowers wrapping around her body from her feet to her neck. Her body is that of an hourglass shape, with sleek muscles, and her hair is a thick, lush gold that comes down in gentle waves and curls to her waist. Name: Maya Gabrielle Skye Age: appearance of 24, is really 432. Weight: Dragon: over several tons. Human: 130lbs. of sleek muscle Height: Dragon: over 50 ft. Human: 5'7" Sexuality: Bi-sexual Species: Dragon Biography: Maya had a fairly good life until the age of 250, when she was kidnapped by a group of slave traders. From a very young age, it was clear that she was special, learning and mastering things in weeks and months that had taken elder dragons years to accomplish. Not only that, but Maya was curious about everything, even things that dragons didn't approve of. Because of this, she was viewed as a bit of a freak, but being a private person to begin with, it made her life no worse. She'd been living on her own for a while, traveling all over the world, and while she was sleeping, a slave trader caught sight of Maya and decided she would sell nicely. She didn't go down without a fight, being a dragon, she was quite hard to contain. However, the slave trader got a large group of well-armed and gifted creatures, and they eventually wore her down. Maya never stayed with one master, given that she was hard to control. Eventually, she ended up in the castle with no one else who really wanted to take her in. An old, powerful spell still marks her as a slave and will continue to do so until she is freed. Personality: Maya can be kind of all over the place. If you're kind to her, she'll probably be nice in return. If you question her values or accuse of her being something she's not, you'd better be prepared, because the girl can hold a grudge. She has a many faceted personality, and will sometimes do as she please simply for the sake of it. Maya can handle quite a bit, but if you push her too far she will snap and become incredibly dangerous. She can be quite feisty with an odd sense of humor, and while she can enjoy a good fight, does not enjoy senseless anger and killing. She's not typically for the weak personality, but she can be quite nurturing and definitely protective if the person strikes her heart. She also loves to sing and dance (quite well), and can be very lively when hearing good music. She can occasionally be a bit shy and twitchy in large groups of people. Maya is vastly intelligent as well, but that's just part of being a dragon, especially an advanced one. Abilities/Powers: Shadow and fire manipulation, being able to shift back and forth between her dragon and two legger form along with the other attributes of being a dragon such as heightened senses and speed/strength, and a fairly wide and powerful range of magic capabilities (also comes with being a dragon.) I may add to this from time to time as Maya grows. ^.^

Maya Gabrielle Skye Maya entered her room, kicking off her heels as she did so. She shut the door behind her, locking it before she undressed, pulling the long fancy dress off. She changed into something more comfortable, simple leggings and a tunic length tank top before she went to the living room and curled up on the couch, sighing heavily. Maya was bored out of her mind, she didn't know anyone here except for Scarlet who had disappeared somewhere, and she was still stuck as a slave. Groaning, Maya smothered her face in a pillow, wondering if she'd be able to sleep.

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxWho are you  Katalia walked through the halls of the Pet Annex in her 'shadow world.' She wouldn't be noticed this way, not until she wanted to be at least. It wasn't that she was anti-social or against meeting people, this was just where she was most comfortable. It was the most like her home. She did not miss the people but she did miss the land and animals. Her eyes fell upon a golden beauty entering one of the rooms several feet ahead of her and she smiled lightly. The whole reason of her outing was to meet others who resided here, why not start at a room where she knew someone to be? With some concentration, she stepped out of her 'shadow world' and back into the visible realm. Katalia walked up to the door which she had seen the other female enter through and raised a hand to knock. Then she waited.

Maya Gabrielle Skye Maya perked up as she heard a knock on her door. She tossed the pillow aside and curiously went to see who was at her door. Opening it up, she saw pretty young woman with mixed shades of hair. Leaning in the doorway, Maya offered a friendly, if not slightly shy smile. "Well hello. Might I ask who you are?"

Even knowing that someone was in the room did not mean that she would receive an answer, so she was happy and a bit relieved that Maya had done so. "Hello there. My name is Katalia, Kat for short. I happened to be passing by when I saw you entering this room and was hoping you wouldn't mind some company? I'm not interrupting anything, am I?" Even though she had been here for a few months Kat only knew a handful of people, that was her own fault for not going out to meet anyone though she supposed.

Maya Gabrielle Skye Maya's gaze looked over the young woman before she looked up and met her gaze, listening to the young woman introduce herself. She smiled brightly, liking the woman, Katalia. Probably the first person that evening that didn't make Maya feel flustered or irritated. "Pleasure to meet you, Kat. That's a pretty name. I'm Maya. You are most definitely not interrupting anything and I'm more than happy to have some company." She stepped back and opened her door further, inviting Kat in. She wondered if the woman was a slave, and what species she was. There was a certain odd aura coming from her. It put Maya in mind of Shadows. She gave a mental shrug, focusing back on Kat.

The woman was glad Maya had welcomed her inside, maybe the two of them could become friends, who knew? One thing Maya was sure to notice if she decided to look down was that Katalia possessed no shadow, not even a hint of one. Sure, she could give the illusion that she had one by using her powers, but sooner or later she would forget and someone would notice. It seemed pointless to try and hide what she was here anyway, she wasn't ashamed of it. In fact, Kat absolutely loved being what she was, it was the people back home whom she disliked. "So, have you been here long Maya?"

Maya Gabrielle Skye Maya shut the door as Katalia entered, noticing the young woman had no shadow. It confirmed Maya's vague belief. The young woman was most like a shadow. Maya had always liked them, so she had no problem with it. She smiled warmly and led the woman to the living room, flopping down on the couch and indicating Kat could do the same. "Make yourself comfortable, Kat. To answer your question, not very." She made a face, thinking. "Probably a week at most. I pretty much stayed in here most of the time. How about you?"

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxWho are you The young woman followed behind Maya into the living room, letting her eyes wander as she did so. The dragon woman's rooms looked wonderful. Katalia relaxed into the couch seat beside Maya at the female's offer. She nodded her head when Maya spoke. A week, so that made her considerably newer than Kat. "I have been here for a few months now. I arrived a few days after they opened the castle to their invitees. Unfortunately, I have not met many people yet. I pretty much stayed in my room or went exploring the castle a bit. I even missed that ball they held the other day." She had wanted to go to the ball, but Kat had not been to an event like that since she was very young. To be honest, she had forgotten most of the etiquette for such things after her parents decided she was useless.

Maya Gabrielle Skye Maya looked curiously at Kat. "Perhaps if you don't mind, you could show me around the castle? I did go to the ball. It was alright, kind of stuffy actually I met two people there, a master and a traveler." She made a face then smiled brightly at the woman. "Well, you've met someone now! And I get the feeling we'll be good friends." Maya wondered what the woman was. She figured she was probably a slave like Maya due to her demeanor, but, might as well get this out of the way... "I hope you don't think me rude, but I am curious...are you a pet or a master here? And, I could be wrong, but am I right in thinking that you're a Shadow?" She sat up slightly and leaned forward, peering at Kat with a bright but friendly gaze. "Since I'm asking such rude questions, I'll go ahead and tell you that I'm a dragon and a slave here."

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxWho are you Katalia nodded in response to Maya's initial question. "I wouldn't mind at all Maya! Just let me know where you would like to go...or I could give you a general tour?" She chuckled at the other female's comment about the ball. "Those sort of events usually are, they can be wonderful places to meet people though. What were the two whom you met like?" Kat grinned when when the dragon woman said she got the feeling they would be good friends. "So do I! I am glad that we met." There would be no hiding the surprise in Katalia's eyes when Maya guessed her race. As far as she had known she was the first of her kind to come to this dimension. Knowing that there had been others before her, enough that this woman would be able to recognize her race, made Kat a little bit happy and hopeful. Maybe she would meet some of these other Shadows some day. The pause between the end of Maya's words and Kat's reply was short, but noticeable all the same. "I am a pet, like you. And, you are correct about me being a Shadow as well. I always thought that I was the only one here though, such was what they led me to believe when I was sent away."
