if I love my job or hate my life.
So we hired this new girl who didn't show up, the head of my department is out of state for a funeral, the coworker that took my hours can only work until 6pm and the only other person working is stuck at the front register.
So what does this dumb b***h do? I volunteer to work from 8.30p to 10.30p to help with truck since I have the extra hours. FUUUUU-----
PLUS!!!! I am still working 7.45a to 3.45p tomorrow.
Now I get to not only unload truck, I get to put it away too. FML
That's all that was decided in the last 37 seconds of my shift. gonk
At least I get to wear whatever I want and ignore customers since I'm (literally) only there for truck.

So many work hours, is that even within state regulations?  Stay positive though, extra money and no uniforms!

Yup. State regulations says that you must have a minimum of 3 hours in between shifts.
Wag rules says that you aren't allowed to work more then 10 hours a day without an hour break. 40 hours a week max for hourly employees.
Once you're salary, nothing matters.
Since I had almost 5 hours in between my shift thingy, and I willingly went back in, it's all gravy. I also took a 45 minute lunch break today just in case. 3nodding

Glad to know I made a decision that everyone else would have.
It makes me feel less like a freak since I know 90% of my coworkers wouldn't have done it.
But that might have been caused by the fact that everyone dislikes the store manager.
[begin mini-rant] I get along with him because I fake stupid and act like I care when he tells me a pointless story about his daughter who just happens to have the same first name as me. Yay congrats, you managed to reproduce and pick one of the most common names in the bloody city. Now stfu. [/end mini-rant]
