Glacie stared at her reflection in the calm water of the lake she lay beside. She was meeting Hayato here, and wished to look good. Simply because a vixen must always look good. She patted her fur down for the final time before lapping at the water. Glacie looked around the clearing, searching for a sign of him. After another quick glance about, she gave up and turned her attention back to the water, absorbed in her own thoughts.
She was sure he was just on his way. Glacie didn't mind the wait, it gave her time to think about the path they would be taking to the beach. With a claw on the moist dirt she drew out a rough map of what she could remember of the surrounding area.[I don't remember where they were going, sooo beach okay? And it's short and took really long and I'm sorry XP]

Hayato was traveling down the path to take him to where he was meeting Glacie. He was nervously worrying his lower lip. Hayato understood that he was an adult and thus could do whatever he wanted, but he hadn't let his parents know where he was going and who he was going to be with. Which would make them sad, and Hayato hated to make others sad.
But he was to travel with Glacie. He promised her. Surely his parents would understand that. They'd have to, or else he'd figure out some way to make it up to them for all the sadness and worry.
Speaking of the vixen, Hayato rounded a bend where he saw the blue female sitting. "Miss Glacie! Sorry to keep you waiting."

Her ears perked up at the sound of Hayato's voice calling out to her. Abandoning her map for the moment, she stood up a turned to face him. "Oh, think nothing of it, Hayato," she assured him with a smile. "I arrived early on purpose."
Glacie then motioned to the drawing in the mud. "I've created a map of the route I thought we should take," she added. It depicted the lake they now stood beside. From the lake ran a river, which flowed through the forest and, eventually opened out to the ocean. It wasn't too far away, really. Perhaps just a few miles, a distance Glacie believed they could span easily, given a few hours. They were to simply follow the river closely, weaving in and out of the forest occasionally. There wasn't actually a nice, worn-out dirt path that they could nicely follow, but as long as they could see the river and follow the direction of its flow, they would reach the beach easily enough.
Rather proud of her map and the path she had charted out, Glacie turned to Hayato for approval.

"Wow," breathed Hayato. "You really know this area well." He studied the map himself, in case something happened. Always good to be prepared you know? "And if we followed the river, we wouldn't have to worry about getting thirsty or hungry if it had fish in it." The male smiled at Glacie. "It's perfect."

Glacie smiled at Hayato's compliment. "Why, thank you, darling," she said. "I like you're thinking as well; I honestly hadn't even considered the need of provisions on this trip. I suppose I assumed we would just find some sort of rabbit on the way, but it certainly is best to leave nothing to chance. We'll know exactly where to look for food now."
Glacie glanced into the water of the lake that connected to the river they would be following. It certainly was teeming with life, many of the fish looking beautiful and ready to be eaten. She was rather excited for this journey, Hayato was fun and the beach was fun and he had never been there. She started towards the river then, looking back at her companion for a moment. "Shall we go, then?"
