Amphi didn't remember much. She remembered making it home, being shoved into a room with the other students, her body tired and broken from the effect of insanity, something that still weighed in her heart and in her head....
When they had been released by the boogeymen, Amphi had followed the gaggle full of students to the The clans and what remained of them.
Her heart was heavy with sadness, and her head full of fear for the clans. They had been strong, powerful and suffered so much. She wanted to reach out to them and comfort, offer a touch of care, of someone who wanted to heal them.
But all her words barely registered and her thoughts were centered on one thing.
She needed first to apologize to the Reaper who had protected her. The clans had suffered a lot, but She had taken something...something she wasn't sure how it started out on the Reaper.
She walked away from the...Lost clan group and back to the school. She needed to find Thanatos and Biskoto now. She just....wanted to tell them she was sorry.

Thanatos had fallen fast asleep, so much so that he felt disoriented when he first woke up to find himself back in school; he remembered a grey phoenix, countless voices, a portal... And now they were being released from where they were being held - in the school gymnasium - and in this brief period of time, he had somehow managed to keep Biskoto summoned, the snake being the first to greet him when he awoke.
Now, he found himself back in familiar surroundings, his muscles still sore, but at least... The voices in his head had subsided; all that's left of it seemed to be this odd mixture of anxiety and a bad feeling that something was going to happen - which, for a Moira reaper, was something that kept him on the edge. He just really wanted to rest.
Sleep it off.

She walked slowly back to the dorms, so slowly it felt like time was just stopping and sighed.
The effect of the Phoenix bothered her. She could hear small voices, what they said, she wasn't sure. She wanted to sleep, to go back to her dorm and dip into the cool water.
Thana first though. Thana.
She turned from the monster dorms and to the reapers, easing her way into the rooms. It wasn't hard to find his room, as she had visited before. She hadn't stayed long enough to remember what it looked like on the inside...or remembered at the moment if she even knew what was inside there at all.
It seemed he was more often then not outside her door instead of the other way around. She sighed as she made it to what she THOUGHT might be his door. Knocking gently, she called out a soft..."Thana?..." When no reply came...she tried once more and then....leaned on the door and slid to the ground.
Her knee's came up to cradle her head. If she was at the room, he would find her sooner or later. He was good at that too, Finding her. He always knew where she was.
She only laid her head for a minute but the exhaustion from the fight and the after effects of the Phoenix sent her to a deep sleep, her breathing evened out as she rested in front of the Reapers Dorm door.
She dreamt of accusing Thana of things, of telling him that she wished she never saw him, never met him and bit him.
and murmured sadly in her sleep.

He had taken his time to walk back to his room, feeling too tired to actually go fast; when he finally reached his room door, however, he found a certain somebody seated in front of it. From the looks of things, she must be as tired as he was - which does not explain what she was doing outside his room, since everyone else seemed to have retired to their own place to rest.
He remembered what she had told him back on that once-floating island, and... It didn't bother him. Most things don't. The only difference now was the fact that his indifference towards others was actually bothering him; the voices seemed to return then, asking so many questions it made his head felt even heavier than before.
"Amphi?" He bent over to grab her shoulder, shaking her a little to see if he could wake her up.

Amphi broke from her dream with a small jolt of adrenaline and fear. Her eyes popped opened as she heard the deep tone of her friend and looked up at him startled. Like why was he there, her head swiveled as it came crashing back to her as to what her purpose was there. Oddly enough, she flushed more from the embarassment of being caught sleeping on the ground, waiting outside his room like some....creeper or something.
"Thana...." She uncurled from her position, pushing herself up to look at him. Her body felt so old, stiff and sore from the position she had been curled into and gave a little stretch.
Self doubt instantly settled in her resolve to apologize to him. They were both tired, and both effected from the Phoenix's odd effect. At least, she wondered if indeed they both were infected. She also wondered if this would be the end of their friendship, the things she said....
The whispers in her head started again, scaring her. She didn't want to end a friendship, something she treasured more then anything else in the world.
"I..." She looked at him, up at him, to his arm and reached out to hover over it. She clearly remembered sinking her fangs in him, but she couldn't remember WHY. She couldn't remember what had made her so...angry and hateful....to hurt him so.
"Thana...I..." She couldn't get the words out really, because she was having a hard time just formulating them in her head. She didn't want him to think she didn't CARE about him, because....well...she did. "I wanted to um..." She looked at him again. Blue eyes to red before sighing.
"Can...we talk inside your room?"

He was falling asleep on the spot. He really was, although he did make a small effort to pretend that he wasn't; for once, he didn't feel like teasing her. That would require way too much energy and brain power, and besides, being bothered by his indifference and lack of concern was bothering him. It was like botherception.
"Sure," He replied before unlocking the door to his room; it was exactly as he had left it, and really neat, which shouldn't be much of a surprise judging from his outfits. While he would normally tease her about entering a boil's room, he wasn't in the mood today. Instead, he immediately walked over to the couch at the side of his room, and flopped down with a sigh, glad that he no longer needed to stand.
Biskoto, on the other hand, decided to make herself scarce, seeing how Amphi seemed to have important things to tell the reaper; after giving the mermaid's ankle a quick nuzzle, she vanished into an adjacent room.
"Take a seat," He gestured to one of the arm chairs that had been arranged at either side of the coffee table in front of the couch he was on.

Amphi followed slowly behind the reaper, taking in the room. She didn't say a sound as they entered, content with the silence like it was the calm before some sort of emotional turmoil of a storm or something.
She waited for him to tease her. She expected it after all, he always teased her. ALWAYS.
And when it didn't she felt the self doubt rise to maxium thought factory mode. The whispering became an annoying buzz in her head as she tried to register why he would just...make a comment about something. Why she was in his room, why she was wearing what she did. Did she mess it up already?
"Oh...Um...alright." She reached down to give the Familiar a faint feather touch on the head before breathing in.
Self doubt or not, Amphi was no coward. Or she tried not to be. She slid into one of the arm chairs, faintly and politely crossing her arms in the chair, sitting upright before looking at him.
"I'm sorry." She just said. She felt the urge to cry come up but pushed the tears back. She was just apologizing wasn't she? "I...said things....and I hurt you...after you did so much for me...I'm...so...sorry Thana." She looked from her to her crossed arms now. "And I realize your tired, cause I am as well so I'll try not take much of your time." She breathed in before, "I...bit you. I apologize for that as well." She gave a small sad smile, masking the small flush of the fact that she had used her teeth on him. "I never regretted a day of meeting you either so...I just wanted to let you know. In case you decided that it would be better to just....not see me anymore."
The whispering heightened, like a roar. but not. She could hear and see just fine. With the whispering, the tiredness and the apology, Amphi was running on max self doubt about herself....
"So...So If you don't want to talk to me...or see me anymore...I will understand....Because I said really hurtful things..."

"Hm?" He looked up; the 'sorry' did indeed catch his attention, but his poker face masked whatever he might be feeling from the ghoul. Then again, he honestly wasn't feeling much of anything; among everything that Amphi had mentioned, the only one that he could relate to was being tired. He didn't feel hurt by her words; if anything, the only 'hurt' he got from her was the physical hurt of being bitten... Which she also apologized for.
He paused for an awfully long time, wondering how he was supposed to react to that; realizing that his poker face probably made him look stern and upset, however, he at least did her the favor of relaxing his face muscles slightly, and shifting his position on the couch to look more at ease.
Although that only managed to make him look bored.
"I accept your apology," He finally replied, settling on telling her whatever was on his mind at the moment, "Although I was not hurt by your words, so there is no need to worry about that." He seemed to slip back into himself at this moment, smirking a little as he chuckled, "Although I'm flattered that you held me in such high regard."

Amphi waited to hear anything from him. To hear something that was...
"I..." She breathed in as he spoke.
And even then, she didn't feel comforted. Even with his words. They didn't match his expression. It was just...wrong.
Stern, and bored all at the same time.
"I...don't you..." She just...was at a loss. What was he feeling? How was he feeling? It was so odd to be around someone who even though she was used to his grinning face.
But she wasn't that close to him. She blinked as that realization hit her. She didn't know him really. He was always hidden behind indifference, perhaps even teasing. He didn't tell her of himself.
"I do. Your my friend but-" She pushed herself up, "Thana....." a small movement over to brush his cheek. "I do care about you...so...so..." She just gave up though....She wasn't the smartest cookie in the Jar but she could read people....sometimes.
"I can't tell what your feeling. I have all these things inside me that are warring with each other, all these feelings and self doubts and I don't know if its cause of the Phoenix or this whole field trip. And I know you can read me like a book but Thana....I can't tell what you yourself are thinking....I don't know if you even feel....anything...for...." She broke off and leaned up. "I'll go now though, I don't want to keep you from resting..." She smiled softly at him.
She had a lot to think about now.

His eyes widened ever so subtly when she addressed him as a friend, but that little gesture soon passed as he went back to whatever he looked like before. It had been a while since anyone honest had so blatantly claim to be his 'friend'; most people were usually just using it as just another word. To him, that word had long lost its meaning.
Everything he needed in a 'friend' was in the form of his familiar.
He took the hand that was on his cheek, and pressed the back of it against his lips for a second, his movements slow but deliberate. Moving the hand away, but still holding onto it, he stood up, "It had a been a long field trip. Perhaps your inner turmoil will pass and resolved itself with some rest and relaxation." That was what he was hoping for his own inner turmoil, at least.
"Here, let me see you out," Still taking her hand, he led her to the door, letting go only to open and hold the door for her, "Get some rest, and I shall see you again... Pretty soon, I am sure."

She searched his face for something, anything with the mention of her feelings and sighed softly.
She flushed at his gesture though, the usual mottle of red marring her cheeks.
"Thana...?" She laced her hand through his and squeezed. She'd think of the softness that he portrayed later. She would remember a soft kiss to her hand after she slept.
"It has..." Following him to the door..."I'll..." She blinked at him. Maybe it was really her just worrying to much, maybe it was the exhaustion.
"I hope so. A good swim and rest in water should do me wonders." She smiled.
She turned before he could close the door and leaned up to kiss him on the cheek, giving his arm a squeeze. No special meaning besides an odd comfort to the Reaper.
"Sleep Thanatos, and if you need anything...if you want to talk or anything. I'm here for you." She smiled again and headed away. It was most defenitly time for sleep though.

The kiss would earn Amphi a smirk, but at least he didn't say anything else as he watched her walk down the corridor and eventually vanish around the corner. Closing and locking the door, he then took the sandals off his feet, and then proceeded to flop in bed, still wearing the same set of clothing he had been wearing on the Islands... When they still existed.
"Not taking a ssssshower, darling?"
"That can wait."
