Mitzi blew into the open den, trying to get away her own thoughts. She hurried down the steps towards where the food was laid out, and decided to start with something to drink. But when she went to grab some of the water, it looked oily, perhaps not even like water. She paused, not sure she wanted some after all.
Really, what was up with this place?

Reiko stalked after Mitzi. She was not letting the Reaper ghoul out of this. Normally she wasn't one for confrontation, but this felt like a fight that needed to be had.
Also she was a bit hungry and one of the few places with food was where Mitzi was going.
"Mitzi, we need to talk," she said, a she went over to one of the food items. It was a bucket of green...something, with insects inside. She considered trying some, but someone else got to it first.
Lovely.

Mitzi spun on the onryo. "Really? We do? You were the one who didn't want to talk earlier. Even though you were the one who caused that whole mess in the first place," she snapped. "If I didn't have to keep saving you, then that wouldn't have ever happened." She turned back around, trying to get her temper back under control.

"Excuse me, what?" Reiko snapped, crossing her arms and glaring. "You have to keep saving me? I went into those plants to find you, because you looked like you were in trouble." Her eyes narrowed. She looked away briefly, and spotted what looked to be a bucket of oil where she would expect water to be. Disgusting. "I went in to help you because I was under the impression that we were friends, and friends help each other. But I suppose that's impossible, isn't it, Reaper?"
Oh yes, Reiko might occasionally be a doormat, but she did know how to stand up for herself, and when. Now seemed like that sort of time.

"Yes. I don't care what you were trying to do, ghost. You got yourself into trouble, and not only did I have to get you out of it, in the process those jacking plants kept getting me. So that was all your fault, and if you try going all scarier-than-thou on me, I will put you in your place." By the end she was practically sneering. Classist issues rearing their ugly head? Maaaaybe.
She scooped up a glass of whatever the foul-looking liquid was and quickly downed it, because she needed something to do to show she wasn't intimidated by the other ghoul. Ugh, what was this stuff?

"Ah, the hart of the matter." Reiko let out a sharp, humorless laugh. "I was warned about how Reapers view my kind. I'd thought you might be different. Clearly I was wrong." She shook her head. "You didn't have to do anything. You could very easily have left me there. I wonder why you didn't, since clearly I have so little worth to you. Being a ghost and such. I would have thought you helped me out of a sense of friendship, but that is clearly incorrect. So why bother?" Reiko wondered if ghosts could get headaches. Mitzi would be giving her one, if it was possible.

"Oh, because I clearly should have left the helpless little ghost ghoul alone in that room to get into trouble - which you seem to be quite good at, by the way. But no, I had to step in to help. And I'm starting to wonder why I did bother." On some level Mitzi realized this wasn't a spat they should be having in public, but luckily there were very few others there at the moment. "And I 'view you' exactly as you deserve, ghost, so don't get all uppity with me."

"Helpless?!" Reiko snarled. "I might have been tiny, but I was not helpless." She snapped. "I would be grateful for your help, but you are making it very, very difficult to be. And need I mention that it was you who went in entirely the wrong direction and got us locked in a storage closet, so that we had to go through again and ended up inhaling whatever that bizarre chemical was?" She was keeping her voice down so as not to attract attention to their fight, as best she could. "And of course, the end result of that was us skinny-dipping in the Oasis. But of course that didn't bother you at all." Oh yes. Going there. Again.

Reiko growled. s**t was obviously serious, if normally sweet, polite, soft-spoken Reiko was whipping out swear words like this. The onryo turned around and walked away. She was clearly just banging her head against a brick wall here. No point arguing with someone so pigheaded.
