Neil hefted his sword, eying his opponents halberd warily. With a cockly grin he gave a bow to Matthew. "It's been a while so go easy on me eh?" Before waiting for a response Neil lunged forward sword outstretched before him.
(Don't worry about rping dodges or taking the hit, Just your attack. This is all non-lethal and the dice rolls determine the score)

Matt corrected his stance balancing lightly on his hooves ready to engage. Springing forward as Neil drew within range swinging the Halberd to meet his sword

Neil's attack was deflected by Matthew's prowess with the halberd. He felt his opponents weapon connect with his armor and spun aside quickly, bringing his sword in for a strike at Matthew's waist.
((I can already see where this system needs a little tweaking but I'll take care of that after we're done, if you don't mind putting up with it for now ^_^ ))

Matt had gained one hit on Neil however he had foolishly left his waist exposed. He saw Neil position himself for the strike and swung the shaft of his halberd around in an attempt to block him

Neil's strike was mostly deflected but managed to just barely catch Matt. He withdrew and struck again, hoping to stay close enough that Matt's long reach would be of no use.

After receiving his first blow Matt noticed Neil had recognised the limitations of his weapon. He began to make several defensive manoeuvre's trying to put some distance between them but Neil was fast and it was hard work finally he saw an opening and went for a jab at the shoulder

Neil was thrown off his balance at the blow to his shoulder, he staggered backwards, losing his advantage.
Still the swordsman pushed onwards, going again for a center lunge.

Pushing Neil back Matt jumped quickly off to the side. Going for a strong swipe to the side he found himself parrying a lunge aimed a his middle instead

With his successful lunge Neil managed to dodge the side swipe, spinning away from it and going for Matt's back.

((no probs ^_^ yea it might be a good idea to lower it a bit maybe to just 5 or 10 hits then make it higher when they get more advanced))
With Neil behind him Matt quickly ducked and whipped the base of the halberd around aiming to catch neil in the thigh and throw him off balance.
