I couldn't believe this place. Just when I think Bethesda had lost their soul I find this place. It's beautiful, inspired, and all Dwemer... Blackreach makes up for everything wrong with Skyrim...
Thus far.

OMG Blackreach is my favorite cave/dungeon/Dwemer ruin in this game. When I first stepped out of that doorway into the cave proper I was at a lose for words. I spent hours down there just looking at stuff.

You too? I just walked out of the door way and thought I accidentally put in Dark Souls. I just couldn't believe the view. I wandered that place for so long, purging it of the defilers... Question: Was there a giant when you wandered the place? Because I found a giant. He was randomly just strolling one of the paths, and he was not happy to have me discover his secret walking route.

Indeed there was a Giant, just minding his own business until I interpreted his merry little stroll. I managed to get him to case me up to one of those inactive Steam Centurions, I quickly activated it and watch the two lumbering giant's do battle.

Lovely place.
If you've only just got there, friend, this one doesn't think you've even seen half enough to judge the game. confused
If you really want to understand Blackreach, go yell at that giant orange ball.
Sithorn did this by accident.

Wait...what? There is a giant orange ball? I must have missed this...are you talking about the globe/light source that hangs above the largest of the Dwemer structures in Blackreach? When you say yell, did you mean shout at it? Like FUS RO DAH?

Interesting. I'll have to let Morrowind sit for a bit and test this new bit of information out.

No I knew about the big a** lamp/chandelier over the forum. When he said big orange ball, I thought he meant something else.

Sithorn toots no horn. Especially not his own.
He read the lore, though. Pages and pages. Played all of the games as well. All the way through. The entirety of the history of Tamriel is riddled with holes and inconsistencies. The lore, as is the history of reality, is written from mortal perspective, and holds no consistency with reality on a fundamental level. They even play with such a concept on the grand scale, such as the 'Dragon Break' concept, which alters reality and technically makes the previous reality null. They never explain how memories of the previous reality are preserved in this context, but the entire point of that plot tool is artistic freedom.
Saying that there are unjust and idiotic lore failures suggests an attitude of superior understanding, and needs examples. The gender of Boethia is insignificant, because that has gone both ways before, and the Daedra have no true genders. The soul paradox is a player perspective issue in the Azura quest line, the mind enters the gem-entirely possible on a non-physical level, and also on a physical level if you consider the gem a sigil stone, and thus a liminal bridge. Other examples I have not seen. The translucency of the moons was a graphic error in previous installments, not a fixture in the lore. The story of Lorkhan breaking is a religious story with no legitimate foundations. Several of the writers are the same. It is Sithorn's opinion that they did a good job, an opinion gathered after getting through all of it, and trying to appreciate it. Other opinions are acceptable, but Sithorn cautions against aggressive fanbase romanticism. There are probably no greater nor discerning fans of the elder scrolls in the world than those who have taken on the responsibility of writing and designing them.

I either didn't care about or was unaware of those. Like Boethia's gender: I fully embrace him changing her gender at the drop of a hat, thus when I talk about him I alternate the pronouns. It makes sense for the prince of deceit. What irritates me is when they get something as fundamental as the climate of a region wrong just because of laziness.
