"Happy Planting!" The Matron's cheered.
The children and toddlers and teens were all equipped with baskets, ready to hunt for the dyed eggs in the grassy area inside the dorms. Each teen was paired up with a toddler, to asssist them in getting eggs. Everyone got one piece of candy for each egg and special prizes were held out for the people with the most eggs. Scattered around the dorms were a few yellow robes, most talking idly to the Matron's, and all of them young.
The oldest Matron, a sweet old lady, hobbled forward. "Spring is the time for new life, rebirth and love. On this day we celebrate the return of warmth and the dissapearance of the winter's cold. It is tradition, that on this day we seek the first green egg of spring. Go forward young ones, and search."
That was the start of the great egg hunt.
((We've hidden pictures of eggs around here. If you get 5 eggs you get a bunny mask, 10 eggs gets you a pair of bunny ears and the first to find the green egg gets something special. *Note* The eggs will not be up all at once, you may need to wait to find an egg. They are hidden inside the guild, make sure you note in white who's post you found the egg in. Once someone finds an egg that egg will be removed from the hunt. Please see Tali's post as an example.))

((Ooo... So there are eggies to find? eek *races off to try and find one before she rps... if she's suppose allowed to... >>*)) ((... *finally does the post*)) "Eh-ggys!" Xenres cheered. He stared with awe at the basket he got. He hoped he got a good teen! He didn't want one that would take all the eggs he found... He looked around for the towering white robes that most of the teenagers wore. He wandered over to the brown-haired female one and tugged on her robes, causing Parmida to look down. She had been looking for Manelin, knowing he wouldn't touch blue eggs even if he found them. Xenres pulled again, drawing her attention back to the toddler. She summoned up a smile for him and held a hand out for him to grab hold of. Xenres took the offered hand and grinned up at her, delight in his eyes. He tugged on her hand, wanting to find eh-ggys before they were all gone. Parmida resisted a little longer, hoping to find Manelin. She finally spotted him trying to find someone. Most likely either her or Tali. She pulled Xenres with her over to Manelin and said, "Want to find eggs together? That way, we can get the blue ones too." Manelin shuddered at the thought that anyone would willing make something blue, but nodded and tagged along after, not bothering to ask why there was a toddler tagging along. The trio spotted several eggs, but they were snatched up before they could reach them. Finally, though, they found two eggs. Manelin said he didn't want either, since one was blue, and the other had blue in it so Parmida got the purple one, Xenres, the blue one. Basket:

Niki felt a bit strange being in the group. She was a teen, not that she felt that way. Half of the time, she was convinced she was still a child. But all the others were... short! She spotted Parmida and smiled. Good, she wouldn't be the only teen here.
Aiko's Matron had dragged the boy along, determined to get him talking to... someone. Anyone! The woman carried Aiko's basket and looked around. Spotting Niki, she decided to see if the teen would help Aiko.
After a short discussion, Aiko was told to stay close to the red headed teen and the Matron handed him his basket. Which he just stared at, one thumb in his mouth and the other at his side. He made no motion to take the basket. Sighing, the Matron put the basket beside him.
Niki grinned as the oldest Matron set them off on the hunt. "Come on, Aiko. We must find the eggs!"
The little boy, adorable as he was, just stared at the older girl. His expression was clearly 'Leave me the *&#@ alone'.
Niki sighed. Why did she get stuck with the difficult one? She reached down and snagged the hand that didn't have the wet thumb and started off, Aiko being dragged along behind, with no basket because he had left his on the ground.

Eagerly Tali awaited the signal to start hunting for the eggs. His mind zoned out as the old woman began to blabber on about stuff and junk. He just wanted to find the eggs. Finally the kids were sent off in search of the eggs. Tali grabbed his basket, the same one he had used every year. Instantly he ran over to one of the niches that hid an egg every year. Carefully he picked up the egg, long legs serving him well in the race to get there first, and placed it in his basket. Basket:  Niki's post, pg 25 in Nanedin

Dragging along the rather resentful Aiko, Niki headed off towards some of the more popular hiding areas. There were always some easy ones and then there were the almost impossible ones to find. Niki grinned as she spotted two eggs near each other. "Here, look Aiko." The boy sullenly looked at the brightly colored eggs that the red head picked up and showed to him before placing them in her basket with a sigh. The teenage girl dragged along the toddler once more. They searched around for a bit before the little boy suddenly stumbled. Slightly irked, Niki turned, then grinned as she saw what had caused him to stumble. "You found an egg!" Sarita yawned as her matron carried her into the room. She wasn't too interested in what was going on, but it was a bit too loud and bright for her to continue sleeping. "Hello, Sleepyhead!" The matron cooed as she sat down on the grass and gently held her in her lap. "Look what I have for you." She held out a small dark blue egg with golden stars in front of Sarita so she could look at it. "Isn't it pretty?" Sarita reached out her arms in an attempt to grab hold of the egg, but the matron pulled it farther out of reach. She let out a cry as she kept trying to reach it. Niki passed right by the next egg and was stopped by Aiko suddenly stopping. Holding back a groan, she looked down at the little boy, then was surprised. He was holding an egg up. Aiko figured, the faster they found these, the faster he'd be allowed to go back to his Matron and his room. It was the green egg! Niki barely restrained herself from jumping up and down in glee. Manelin jerked to a sudden stop and peered closer at a spot of orange that caught his eye... Pretty orange... Kinda like fire... He reached out to grab...  * Color: Orange

Parmida had the weird thought of wondering where her journal was. It had turned up missing a while ago and she was worried that perhaps Manelin had burned it yet again. Now why she would be thinking of her journal at a time like this... She came to a rather sudden stop at the sight of an oddly colored egg next to... her journal?  * Color: Gray/Plot

Xenres' eyes went wide at the sight of an egg. He reached out for it... Just for Manelin to squeak and snatch the egg up first. "Red!" Manelin said gleefully. Xenres was starting the show the signs of an impending wail. Manelin quickly looked through his basket and took out the gray one. He carefully placed the gray one in Xenres' basket and said, "Kay? You got an egg in trade for this one." Xenres wasn't so sure if that was a good thing or not as he poked the gray egg. Manelin snuggled the red before putting it in his basket.  * Color: Magenta

Manelin blinked. Didn't he already have an egg of this color? He checked. Yes, he did. But here was another one, in a different place. Huh. He picked it up, placed it next to it's twin, and went on searching. * Color: Orange
