In this thread you will learn some basic information about Lineage 2.

F2P or P2P?: This game is free to play but there is a cash shop where you can buy certain ingame items for real life cash.
Gamestyle: Click to move but you can set up keybindings to move with your keyboard. Skills use the F1-F12 keys but also can be changed. It's possible to use a gamepad but not recommend.
Different races?: Yes. You can play as a Human, Elf, Dark Elf, Orc, Dwarf, and Kamael.
Different Classes?: Yes. There are different classes depending on what race you play as. Although the classes are similar, each race has different or unique skills. There are 4 class transfers in Lineage 2. The first 3 class changes are racial based and the last class transfer (Awakening) it a merge of all "alike" classes into one powerful class.
Here is a breakdown of what class you can play as depending on your race.

Non-combat or side skills?: Very few. fishing, farming, pet raising, and crafting (Only for dwarves and awakened classes).
Can you PvP, PK or Duel?: Yes. You can PvP or PK anywhere outside of town and you can start PvPing or PKing at level 1. You can also duel another player or party outside of town as well.
This game is very PvP based due to clan wars, castle sieges, territory wars and the Olympiad.
How are the quests?: Some quests are important to take in the game. Quests for job change, subclass, noblesse, epic bosses and clan reputation are important. Some quests give you awesome rewards, but they can be boring and grindy.
Can you team up with other players?: You can party with up to 7 players in one group. If you have a full party you get a full party experience boost. For PvP, epic bosses, sieges, or other clan related activities, you can make a command channel, to invite other parties and communicate with them also.
Any Bosses?: Yes, tons! Plenty of raid bosses of different levels and also epic bosses. Raid bosses have a chance of dropping weapons, armor, and enchants around their level. Epic bosses however, drop weapons, armor, enchants, and also has a chance to drop a piece of epic jewelry that boost your stats greatly.
