New beginnings. Don't fret about tomorrow, It's a new day, A new rise, A new sun.
Don't fret about happiness, It's a new smile, A fresh start, A happy coincidence.
Don't fret about a child, It's a new person, A fresh face, A new love.
Don't fret about love, It's a new heart, A new life, A new beginning.

I really liked the structure--it had rhythm and flow without sounding forced or anything. And it sounded beautiful when I read it aloud. Good work!

Cause/Effect A harmless hole, Who would've thunk, Such a pure soul, Would hit that hole?
Each day, bigger it spread, Rain helped to make it larger, "Just a bump" that's all we said, But no one thought it would leave you dead.
The hole you hit, that fateful day, Made you slip and roll, Into a tree, why couldn't you stay? Now in heaven, you'll sit and play...
This is written in memory of Chris Driebergen. A close friend of mine, who passed away on September 18, 2009. He was 16 years old. He was a beautiful person, always loved helping people. Always loved doing what he could to brighten someone's day. He left us, and I'm sure he's smiling down on us from heaven. I'm sure he's still finding some way to make someone's day brighter. I'm a better person for knowing him. R.I.P. William C. Driebergen. Just a simple hole in the road can change someone's life. Be careful on the road.

That's a beautiful poem, and I'm so sorry about your friend. A good soul like that... even if he can't brighten someone's day in person, I'm sure a beautiful soul still finds ways to help.
The road is really dangerous. ><

Peace of Mind Alas, the night is young, Too young for you and I. Peace meets mind, It's one of a kind, As I spread my wings and fly.
Heart in my throat, It's difficult to breathe. Scared isn't the word, Exhilarated young bird, Catching the leaves.
Now fly young bird, Your love will be heard. And peace will meet mind, Now that's one of a kind. My apologies for missing yesterday. But I still wrote it. c:

This was simple, in the rhyming and pattern I mean, but the theme holds a lot to interpret, which is awesome. Heh.
It was... lovely to read. I'm sure that's the wrong word to use but... it ends with such reassuring words that that's the descriptive word that comes to my mind to use. 'Lovely'.

Childhood Memories
Those memories, You can't quite remember, But they are still locked in your mind.
The memories, That fall from a single moment, And rush your each and every sense.
These memories, They mean more than you know, Don't try to shut them away forever.
Childhood memories, They made you who you are, And they will help shape your future. I wanted to get away from rhyming a bit. I love rhyming but I wanted to show I had some versatility. Hopefully it worked. c:

Speed
Zig and Zag, That's their names. Back and forth, That's their games.
Zig goes left, Zag goes right. That's their game, Play all night.
Zig finds Zag, Zag runs away. Zig runs faster, Squirrels at play.
