If i go Torrential tribute in response to the trigger effect of stratos to destroy spells and traps, does the effect of stratos destroy anything when resolving since there are no hero's on field. Please keep in mind stratos does not target as he does not say select or target in his effect.

stratos does not get the effect because it isn't guaranteed that he would destroy cards when summoned

In this case Oucyan, Stratos wouldn't get his first effect since Stratos doesn't target a spell/trap, his first effect would be the same as MST or HS since neither target either

Stratos's effect will check the number of heroes in play when it resolves so if you or your opponent uses an effect to destroy all monsters in response, Stratos's effect will destroy nothing.

Stratos's effect will check the number of heroes in play when it resolves so if you or your opponent uses an effect to destroy all monsters in response, Stratos's effect will destroy nothing.
