DAY 1: KETTIL TRIES WEAPON CRAFTINGFirst things first, he wanted to make a weapon. After taking a second to listen to the Head Crafter he gathered his materials, some stone (obsidian), bits of leather, and he wasn't sure what he was going to add to it toward the end he figured he'd just surprise himself with it. Endzela settled a little across from him to where she could watch and help hold things when needed and then Kettil tossed himself into his creation - metaphorically speaking.
He heard and saw little else than what was before him tearing bits of leather into strips so he could tie the leather down to the hilt, Endzela's talons held onto the strips of leather and handed them over whenever he needed her to muttering quiet words of encouragement to him. Toward the end of the creation he felt pretty proud of himself.
Something was missing...
Without any invitation he reached over and stole one of Endzela's feather which earned him a peck and an indignant squawk from his Familiar. He just grinned at her happily, "All for the art~," he chimed at her softly.
Endzela just glared at him disapprovingly.

Now came time to testing. Kettil stood up and wandered over toward the mannequins and while Endzela flew to perch from a good vantage point and watched as Kettil struck out and hit the mannequin with no issue.
The knife came out of it with only a small knick which was more than he could say for the mannequin.

More testing needed to be done. As Kettil showed off his highly scientific mind by striking at the mannequin again!
The knife hit firm without much further damage than before.

Lashing out with a quicker and fancier strike he hit the mannequin again with about the same results as the first time. His knife seemed to be very well put together indeed! He felt pride swelling within his chest as he watched the mannequin rock a bit from the hit.

The next hit caused a rather large imperfect crack to appear to appear in the blade which made Kettil's brow raise and his face fall a tad. Oh no! He'd hoped to take this home as a souvenir to show off to Lark and Freya! Now neither of them will see it if he kept it up...
Maybe if he hit more carefully?

The next and last hit proved fatal for the blade as it just fell the blade shattering once it impacted upon the ground. Kettil's shoulder sunk as he held the sad and lonely hilt with the drooping attached feather.
..Awww.
Endzela sighed softly as she flew down to perch on his shoulder quietly pulling dreads from the side of his face, "Let's go eat, Sulky-boil."
"Yes ma'am," he said softly as he at least took a moment to clean up his mess and properly dispose of it.

DAY 2: KETTIL TRIES THE STADIUMKettil had come to the Stadium to be a contender. Endzela had perched nearby and watched the spectacle as Kettil didn't even last a single round against an opponent he thought he'd have the upper hand on. Sure, he'd gotten close but close only counted in horseshoes and Bomb minipets. [Failure, didn't even win the first round nor tried any other rounds.]

DAY 2: KETTIL TRIES THE TOXIC CAVEKettil decided today was the best day to try out this Cave exercise and thus he and Endzela went down to see what it was about. It took a few moments before they were deemed 'okay' to start running - and by 'okay' meaning the trial started and they didn't have time to lollygag anymore. Kettil tucked Endzela into the front of his shirt with her head peeking out of the low 'v' his top made so that she could see what was going on.

Taking a leap of faith he went down the wall and made it rather safely with no issue upon the ground, though Endzela was having many little heart attacks during the fall. He wasn't sure why his Familiar didn't seem to trust his gut instincts sometimes.
It totally had nothing to do with the couple of near-broken limbs he had gotten while growing up. Not one bit.
((2- You try to go down the walls… and make it! Better move though the gas is thick down here!))

Simply telling Endzela to hold her breath he dived right into the water without waiting for her to say she was ready or not. She was at a bit of a disadvantage here.
Okay a lot of disadvantage.
As he swam something bit him causing him to wince in surprise and taking a moment to peer at what had happened... Well. He saw nothing.

He tried to swim upwards mostly to get himself a bit of extra breath as well to allow Endzela some respite before he went back into serious swimming and...Bonked his head pretty good.
Kettil yelled a loud expletive and then went on.

Few moments later they reached the other side, both of them came out of the water coughing and gasping but Kettil was in no position to rest at all and he kept moving. Endzela at least was able to gather her bearings from her position.
((You manage to swim quickly and reach the other side just in time!))

He got to his hands and knees and started to try and crawl down the narrow seeming path it didn't take long before a snake suddenly struck at him with surprising viciousness. Kettil let out a cry and Endzela screeched angrily but he didn't linger long enough for her to get revenge or the snake to have a second n**.
