The Sacred Temple of Nine Dragons The sacred temple is a large open shrine that leads into a deeper section inside, composed of two floors. The first floor is composed entirely of simple wooden engravings along the pillars and walls, the enter area depicts a large wooden carving of what would most likely be the Imperial Majesty of Conquest, sitting nobly on a throne. There are several Clans members kneeling in front of it in reverence. The second floor is composed of an "archives" area, though the scrolls are off limits. OOC: EVENT ROLLS AND PROMPT MECHANICS: - When your student has arrived in this setting, you can CHOOSE to roll a 100-sided dice at any point in time. You can only do this twice per RP you make. Match your dice roll to the results below for a prompt/ small reaction that your student may discover. RP out results accordingly. 1-20: You walk around the first floor and notice how uneven the flooring is. When you look down, you see that each tile has a different engraving on it, with strange characters. They don't seem to do anything when you step on one of the characters/gylphs though. 21- 40: You amble up to the second floor and see walls and walls of rolled up scrolls. You lean in to take a closer look, but is stopped by a Clan member, who shakes their head and pushes you back. 41- 60: You take a look at the giant statue in the center. It is your imagination, or do they kind of look like a certain Heir you know as well? (If you don't know Invictus, this part has no effect on your character) 61- 80: You hear muttering behind you, and catch the words "not returning from the Human World" and "military army group number..." but the rest of it trails off. 81- 100: You notice how elaborate all the decorations are: even the detail in the wooden carvings in the pillar. You look up at the ceiling and realize along with the unique tiles, they are all gilded with delicate gold and jade. It seems this clan spares nothing when it comes to the smallest attention to detail. (see below for horsemen point prompt) - Horsemen point prompt! You also see something glint next to you, but is it just a trick of the light? Roll a 6-sided dice. If odd you obtain one horsemen point! Awkward setting was awkward. It wasn't that he didn't find the place peaceful, it was, y'know, in the scenery and the building structures--it was just... this wasn't really Roch's natural habitat. In fact he was recognizing that fact more and more with each step he took. And as he reached the temple he felt even more awkward than before.
He hesitated outside, shoving his hands into his pockets and looking up at the massive structure with a cautious expression. Should he go in? It didn't seem to be forbidding them or anything, but--

This place was stunning, but that was what frightened her about it. She loved the plants and the decorations and the buildings, yet the upkeep was so well and so thorough that the place practically glowed with a regal air. She was the country bumpkin that was two steps above squander, and all this beautiful scenery just wasn't making her feel good at all.
Plus, she was pretty sure her feet were dirty, and that she was tracking dirt from the war clans all through these beautiful streets.
"Hmm...? Roch?" The Vetala called out in a hushed whisper upon spotting the similarily dejected looking Reaper. She was quick to wander up to his side, holding her elbows and staring up at the stunning temple. "This place is too clean." She lamented to him, not even trying to hide that she was uncomfortable. "I should've known, Invictus is always so..." She trailed off, unsure on how to politely finish that sentence.

"Yeah," Roch said, knowing exactly what she meant. "You were in War, right? that place was awesome. I mean, this place is awesome, too, it's just..." He felt more at home among the War Clan members, even if they were all insane as hell. Not that he put it that way. Instead he just sort of shrugged, seeming a tiny bit lost.
"But... they don't seem to mind us going into this place," he told her. "Wanna go?" He held out a hand, a silent support to one of his ghoul pals. Because he understood exactly how she felt right now.

"Yeah! Near the end it was getting pretty rough." Amrita admitted, recalling the grueling week of running, fighting, and.... "I nearly died there." The memory of the cave that Calder dragged her into was still fresh, and she shuddered uncomfortably, squeezing her elbows as if to ensure that her fingers were in fact still there. A single grey eye moved to view the extended hand, following the line of the arm and towards her friend.
"Sure...they should know what they were getting into when they invited us!" What was left of her face lit up, unwrapping her arms from around herself to reach out and take his hand. Christof wasn't here to punch Roch for this, or to get upset with her for it, but either way, Roch was her friend. They'd held hands before, and she wasn't about to change old habits. "How've you been?" She asked curiously, heading into the temple with him.

I mean, if I focused on all the crap that almost got me killed, or did get me killed during this school, I'd probably not have nearly as much fun," he decided. His eyes moved to the giant statue in the center instinctively and he tugged her closer as he broke into a grin. "Look, Amrita! It's Invi! Well... y'know, an older version of him. At least it looks a hell of a lot like him," he whispered.

Amrita stared around herself in complete awe, looking at how elaborate and decorations were. Each piece of wood seemed to have a life of it's own, twisting and bending with designs that required skill beyond her wildest imagination.
"Gotta do what you can to cope, I suppose." Amrita agreed thoughtfully. She'd been lucky, she'donly ever dissipated a handful of times...but what happened on War territory was the closest she'd ever been to outright dying, for good. It was scary, very scary; now she could sympathize just a little more with those who had been nearly weaponized in the chambers, since...that was kind of like dying for good.
She had gone back to admiring the elegant designs when his tug on her hand brought her back to reality, making her stumble with a gasp and stare up at the statue. Whoa...that really did look like Invictus! But did it look older? Either way the disapproval was radiating down nice and clear, even in statue form. "Whooooa...he must be very important! Does he know about it, you think?" She knew what an Heir was, but the importance of the roll, in horseman terms, didn't really hit her until she saw the statue. Having a statue meant you were super important. Or. You know...were already stone.
"Maybe it is him!" She whispered back with a giggle, having to stand on tip toes to keep it between the two of them. It was then that something shiny caught her eye, and like any good magpie, she went to investigate.
Dragging Roch along with her.

She didn't have long nails, or even strong nails, but she was determined to get at the shiny thing. Not that she knew why, she generally didn't care for shiny things, but this one she wanted. It was out of place shiny, and that was intriguing to her.
"Oh wow, look!" She turned towards Roch, holding out her little price; a horseman token. "Seems like a silly place to keep this..." She mused, rolling the little token between her index finger and thumb.

61- 80: You hear muttering behind you, and catch the words "not returning from the Human World" and "military army group number..." but the rest of it trails off.
"Keep it," he said. "I found the all over War, and nobody said a thing about me pocketing it." He went still as someone walked behind them, muttering lowly.
"Not returning from the Human World..."
"Military army group number..."
And he suddenly remembered the war clan members leaving through the portal. He moved closer to Amrita, hovering over her protectively as he slowly glanced behind them.
The speakers were already gone.

"Okay~" Amrita closed her fingers around the token, sliding it into her pocket. This was something new for her; she had been given tokens for something like weapon crafting, but this was the first time she'd found one. "Maybe someone lost it, I'll keep an ear out~" Almost immediately after she pocketed the thing she spotted a similar shiny thing, and went to try and free that one, too. It was why she didn't hear the whispering that Roch had, or why she didn't understand when he was suddenly very close.
"Uhh, Roch...? What's wrong?" She asked uncertainly, peering up curiously at the boil who looked...rather out of sorts.

"Nothing," he said, clearly lying. He was looking around, a cautious expression on his face. "C'mon, let's see what else there is to look at here," he told her, tugging on her arm gently.
What if he was wrong? He probably was, right? He clearly wasn't the smartest guy around, so it was definitely not something HE would figure out first.

"Right, and I'm a Demon." The Vetala murmured under her breath; Roch was a terrible liar if she could pick up that he was lying, but then again...he always did wear the truth on his arm, which was a good thing because he rarely wore sleeves. "Will you tell me later?" She stared at him, her remaining eye narrowed with doubt.
But she was following him regardless, especially since they were attached on the hand.

"Not when we're in the clans," he whispered, leaning down so he was next to her ear. It looked like a sign of affection to those watching, but he pulled back easily, giving her a little grin. "Besides, I'm not used to bein' quiet this much, at least when I'm doin' legal stuff," he told her. "I think it's messin' with my mind."

More of them passed by, still talking about the same thing. It seemed like this was a big topic--one they were so intent on that they weren't hiding it from the visitors.
That wasn't a good sign.
