Her words come out a muttered, mumbled mess, and it's made even more difficult to understand by her avoidant body language. Despite the repeated mantra of "What did you say?" and "Huh?" from any long-suffering kin who tries to talk to her, she assumes that her ideas and beliefs are above the heads of the plebeians around her. It is simply everyone else's problem that they can't understand her. Anyone who smiles and nods along to her unintelligible murmurs will find her quite agreeable.

❈ Personality: Creepy, antisocial, awkward. He's mostly seen with his twin sister Set the Stone. The pair act as impromptu gravediggers and often show up only after a terrible disease or disaster has swept through an area. Their act of devotion to the swamp itself has earned them a poor reputation among other kin; when they're seen, it's assumed that misfortune is not far away. Their habit of eating carrion doesn't help.
Dig's social skills are anemic due to under-use. What is painfully, pointedly obvious to others flies right over his head. Likewise, he may be privy to things they are not (be it real or imaginary). No kin will ever mean more to him than his sister.

❈ Personality: Daydream is a vagabond Casanova, moving from tribe to tribe and harem to harem to find something. Something. He lays with the does and tells them they are the most beautiful doe ever created by the Motherfather but he must go with the wind and grass to find what he is looking for. He loves them and kisses them and says that his broken heart will weigh heavily on his withers and the days without them will be difficult, but yet he disappears into the endless sea of rolling plains, searching. Every word is a truth, but his unthinking deception stings just the same.
Daydream is cursed with a terrible wanderlust. When pressed, he cannot articulate what he is searching for. Something, something to still his tired hooves.

❈ Personality: While she couldn't exactly be called 'delicate' (could any totoma truly be a fragile creature?), Tiny Mountain is small for her kind, a head shorter than her peers. The confrontational nature of totoma herds left few opportunities for the ones who were always on the losing side. Earning a name and being blessed with a white pelt in a snow bound land were not enough to keep her in the mountains, and she journeyed to the lowlands to find a better home.
She was small for a Totoma. Her mother, disappointed with her stunted and weak daughter, blamed the unusually harsh winter the year she foaled. Other Totoma, huddled against the cold and speaking in whispers, blamed a parent who did not do enough parenting. The truth was somewhere in between. None of their convenient excuses made the lost fights and humiliation of perpetual namelessness any easier for her to bear.
She didn't remember how the argument started. It wasn't important, really. It was the same as it always was - a bigger, stronger Totoma was taking something that was hers. Food. Territory. Pride. She had long since learned that acquiescing was the less painful option, but... not again. No. Never again! Her refusal was met with laughter and in turn met with a threat and then a charge. Skull plates cracked together and the impact rang in her ears. He shoved and her hooves slipped, but she stood firm on the cold earth. She willed herself to stand and meet him again and again; terror and anger lent her ferocity. No! I will not back down! There was a strength in her small body that she never knew was there.
The buck who challenged her threw his head back in laughter. There was a ringing in his ears, too, but he would be hard pressed to admit it. The laugh was not the mocking sound of before, but instead it carried with it recognition of an equal. "Little doe, you are immovable! You are like a tiny mountain!"

❈ Personality: Viridian watches over his unintentionally tyrannical but well-meaning brother Blaze. He's a worrier that stops just sort of brooding. While he's not exactly foalsitting, he stays close to his only sibling for the inevitable crashing down of poorly laid but good intentioned plans. Self-imposed family obligations have prevented him from doing some things but not enough that he feels resentment or regret. He casts a yellow eye longingly at pretty does - Viridian loves babies and is not above letting them tug on his ears and chew on his tail.
❈ Other notes: This handsome boy is exactly the same color as the watercolor paint he is named for. I FLIPPED OUT all over Corn when I realized it. sweatdrop Only two children in this clutch, and I was so generously given one of them. Thank you guys, you're fabulous!
❈ Personality: Curiosity killed the owlcat, and if she's not careful, it'll kill the zikwa, too. Caress gets into everything everywhere in a futile quest to sate her burning curiosity about the world she can only see in dim blurs and smears. Novel textures, smells, and tastes entrance her; she feels somehow obligated to experience all of these things as an ambassador from two worlds. Pragmatism has not yet tempered her inquisitiveness, and she all too often finds herself in a spot of trouble from not knowing when to leave things well enough alone.

❈ Personality: Gentle, meek, observant. Hushed is a quiet, reserved buck who is endlessly compassionate and particularly softhearted. He finds great joy in acting as a steward for the area of the swamp he calls home. Animals, especially the fluffy and agreeable ones, are his favorite.
