Curled up under the tree Keeva never even noticed the rosy sunrise. Her stomach growled loudly. Three days ago she had caught her last meal. Beyond that all the blue vixen had taken was water. She never should have left the human’s domain, but how could she stay there when the one bright spot in her life had simply gone and disappeared on her? Shaking her head Keeva was determined not to cry again. She had done enough of that in the past few months to make up a lifetime of misery. Biting her tongue she blinked back the villainous tears and forced herself to stand up and start walking. She felt a bit dizzy and tired, but if she stopped she would cry. She already told herself that she was done crying. No more.

The brown and peach vixen yawned loudly as she walked. The sun was raising it looked nice. Though she was too tired to really appreciate it. She had been walking all night and all of yesterday and hadn't slept a wink. It was very draining. Why did she do it? She did it because she wanted to explore like her father did but couldn't find a good spot to sleep last night so she kept going. Her hat started to slide down over her eyes. She hadn't noticed till she stumbled. Her eyes had close once her hat moved over them but her stumble woke her up. Looking around she spotted a big tree in the distance and began to head its way. Her eyes falling close every here and there.

Blinking harder Keeva tried to dispel the burring tears and focus. There was something stumbling at her. It was too large for a rabbit. She sat down and rubbed her eyes with her paws and then looked again. There was a fox that looked like it was about to pass out. Feeling a knot of anxiety all Keeva wanted to do was to run away but she just couldn’t do that, what if this fox had been left like she had? Or what if the other fox was sick.. or worse? Moving closer Keeva felt her own feet threaten to give out from under her. “Excuse me. Ah… miss?” As she tried to take a step she collapsed with a small squeak. She forced herself to get up again quickly. The other fox needed help.

Sasha's ears twitched catching a faint sound. Someone was talking...was it to her? She glanced around, her eyes squinting. She rubbed them and the backside of her paw trying to wake herself up more. There by the tree she was heading too was another vixen. "Yes?" she called out. Her voice sounding scratchy from not having anything to drink and sleep getting to her. She slowly walked toward the other girl.

This was not good. The other vixen looked ready to collapse and Keeva felt as though she would fall down at any moment. What could she possibly do to help? “you don’t look good.” The other vixen’s voice sounded really bad. Was that normal or did she need a drink? Keeva had passed water before, but she didn’t think the vixen would make it that far. “lay here. I’ll be back.” She turned dizzily and started heading for the water. Her stomach growled loudly.

She looked bad? She supposed it was true because she hadn't slept in what seemed like forever. Clearing her throat the best she could she asked "I do?" She took a few more steps toward the tree until she was under its shadow and laid down. She let the other vixen do what she wanted. She was to tired to stay awake anymore and passed out.

She had heard the other vixen say something when she had turned, but she didn’t manage to process it. Her vision was starting to blur when Keeva made it to the water. Not really even thinking what she would do Keeva blinked and stared at the water for a moment. Not being able to think of anything else she turned and plopped her tail into the water and lifted it up and drapped it across her back before heading back He paws nearly came out from under her by the time she got to the vixen.. or vixens as the case was. Hadn’t there only been one before? Flipping her tail that was heavy with water she was relieved when it fell across the other fox’s face. So there was only one. Keeva dropped to her stomach unable to stand longer. She was tired and hungry.

Sasha wasn't in a deep sleepy but was in a deep enough sleep that when she felt something hit her back it startled her causing her to gasp and sit up quickly. She glanced around and noticed the vixen. She didn't look so good either. "Are you okay?" she whispered to the other vixen not wanting to startle her.

Was she ok? No she was starving to death and tired. She wanted nothing more than to curl up and cry. That was not ok at all. “I’m.. fine. Just tired and hungry.” She held her tail out again. It was still dripping water. All the other vixen had to do was open her mouth and hold onto Keeva’s tail. “You don’t sound so good. Water.” Keeva’s voice was quite and she couldn’t quite hide the sniffle that threatened to be the bringer of more tears.

"Hungry?" Sasha asked. "I have some berries and nuts hidden in the brim of my hat by my feather." she told the other vixen while clearing her throat as her eyes scanned over her. "Yes water and sleep would be lovely."She noticed that the water was dripping from her tail so she leaned forward just and licked and suckled the water off her tail.

Curling up toward the vixen Keeva reached out a paw and tried to fish out some berries or nuts. It didn’t really matter which she got. Food was food at this point to her. A nut popped out and Keeva took it in her teeth and nawed on it until it cracked. Then she dropped it on the ground and had to lick up the edible parts of the nutmeat. After that she tried fishing again and got a few berries. Gobbling them up hardly noticed the other vixen sucking on her tail. It didn’t bother her at all. “Thanks”

Sasha felt the nuts and berries shift and roll along the brim of her hat. Her ears twitched at the sound of them moving. She paused in her drinking to respond, "Your welcome." She than drank a bit more before laying down and yawning.

Having at least something in her stomach Keeva felt her eyelids start to droop. She had been going to say something but for the life of her she couldn’t remember what it was. Laying her head down she though she would only rest for a moment, but soon she was sleeping peacefully, thought one word did escape her mouth. “Demyan”

Sasha curled up against the UN-named vixen that had given her water. She would have to thank her later and get her name. Right now she was asleep the other vixen that is and Sasha herself was well on her way. Just before she passed out she heard the other whisper someones name. Her last thought was whose that?

*time skip of a few hours* Asche woke up and stretched out in her tree perch yawning. It had been some time since she left the red and brown foxes. She blinked in the bright light. Next time she should find a cave. Yes that would be better than a tree. Still fewer things tended to climb up trees than hide in caves, so it was a trade off. Shrugging it off she figured she would deal with it latter when she felt tired again. Feeling like moving a bit Asche looked down to see if she could simply drop out of the tree to go for a walk. To her disappointment there where two foxes curled up below her. She flipped her tail in annoyance accidentally hitting a branch causing it to ruffle. Keeva was having the most wonderful dream she was curled up next to Demyan and they were both so warm and so close. A noise above her snapped her out of her pleasant dream and back to reality. Smelling something strange Keeva pulled back and to her own horror she had been cuddling the other vixen. Keeva was horribly embarrassed about cuddling a stranger. Skittering back Keeva forgot all about the noise above her considering how she woke up.
