It had been a few days since her first encounter with a youma and the Man Formerly Known as Tony, Now Known as Camelot with the Totally Awesome Laser Beam. She foolishly decided to try this whole 'saving people' thing and snuck out of her house late that night. She found some bushes and powered up just as Camelot explained to and, armed with her tiny telescope, she went Bad Guy Hunting.
Unfortunately, she was successful.
It didn't take Sutai long to realize that she was utterly terrible at the whole super hero thing, and after shrieking for Camelot and/or laser beams, took to running like a ninny around the block. A youma shaped like a rather large and angry pit bull with a shark's mouth was busy growling and barking at her. Tears in her eyes, the sugar plum page made a mad dash two, three, four times around the same set of houses with the youma at her heels. She tried to hit it with her telescope but ended up chickening out and running for the hills. The youma happily gave chase.
"Waaaah why can't I have laser beams tooooo?!" she shrieked, trying to keep her long ponytail from the youma's mouth. That would certainly spell doom. "Cameloooot! WAAH WHAT IS ALL THIS?!"

Caelian had decided to go out, happy that her daughter was visiting a friend for a while tonight. It made sneaking out much easier. She hadn’t run into anything really scary yet tonight, though, she hadn’t really run into anything yet tonight. The page was half tempted to just call it quits and head home to get ready for her daughter and do all of that motherly stuff.
Well, that was her thought until she heard a scream. And..not just any scream…it was a scream for Camelot? Was it someone who needed help? She wasn’t Camelot, but she was still someone who could help!
Now, should she shout back? Or just run to aid the other person who needed the help? For a moment, Caelian stood there, then darted off, shouting. “Help is on the way, just hold on…whoever you are! I’m coming!” She continued to run towards where she heard the screams, then skidded to a halt. Um? Was it a fairy? A senshi? She was confused for a moment…at least, until she saw the youma. “Over here, come over here, okay? Get away from that thing, and we can think of a plan to attack it

Someone else's voice, from an older lady no less, was like a blessing. Like rain in the desert. Craning her neck, Sutai spotted the rather lovely dressed lady and quickly changed directions, the youma skidding to a halt just shy of eating a garbage can. Sutai looked rather ridiculous with crystals and shocking blue and clasps everywhere. Her telescope was in one hand and her pride in the other. "Oh, please Miss! Do you have laser beams?! I could really use some help and--"
Before she could finish, the youma let out a bloodcurdling yowl that caused Sutai to nearly claw her way up onto the white-haired lady's shoulders. She stopped just short of that and instead clung to the woman like a scared mouse. Youma clearly were not her forte. "I dunno what to do! Camelot said we have to fight for the Earth and everything but oh em gee I don't have laser beams like he does!"
Just then, the pit bull of a youma turned around and growled at the two ladies, its eyes glowing a fierce yellow-orange. Sutai turned to her savior. "Are you like Camelot too? Please tell me you have a laser beam. Or a gun. A gun would be great too!"

Caelian moved an arm in front of the other girl, frowning for a split second. Laser beams? Well, that wasn’t a question she was asked every day, so…well. She held her powder puff out and wrinkled her nose at the youma. Ugh. They were always so ugly! And had such sharp teeth and all of that bad stuff that you just never wanted to deal with.
“No, sorry. I don’t have any laser beams, or any guns…but I know Camelot, and I’ve been up against a few of these monsters before, just calm down, okay? Together we can take it.” This poor girl. She seemed so terrified…and Caelian just wanted to help her…and to get rid of the youma…but. Still.
“So, don’t worry. You’re with Cealian now. Page of Venus. I’ll do my best to protect you, it’ll be okay. Together, you and I can get rid of this thing easily, I’m sure.” She wanted to keep her attitude light and confident…that way the girl would feel the same, well. At least she hoped.

"Page of Venus? You mean like how Camelot is the Earth? Wait, I thought we were all Earth? I'm confused!"
Sutai's gold eyes stared at the woman named Caelian for a bit, trying to process this information. First, she thought the knights were of the Earth and were trying to protect it, and now she meets someone from Venus? "So, are all lady knights from Venus? And male knights are from Mars? Did people figure this out already?" She stood there, pondering this great universal truth in her outfit designed to look like an ice skater. All the while, the youma was already on its way over, ready to sink its teeth into some meaty Page legs. Once Sutai caught wind of this, she shrieked and swung her telescope down in a frenzy, bonking the youma on the head.
Then she tried climbing all over Caelian again, squealing. "We could die, Caelian! Can you like... powder puff it to death now please?" The youma spat and snarled as if the hit made it bite its own tongue. Truth be told, Sutai thought a powder puff weapon was slightly more useful than a telescope. Why, maybe she could smack it and a great dust cloud could show up and they could run away! But then... wouldn't Camelot be disappointed? The last thing Sutai wanted was to disappoint Camelot, Knight of OMFGLasers (and also Earth).
The youma charged again and made a leap for the two pages. Sutai was busy burying herself in the fluff of Caelian's sleeves, holding on as tight as she could.

Caelian almost toppled over as Sutai tried to climb on top of her for protection, though, raised her powder puff, trying to smack the youma right in the face, praying that some of the powder would get into the creatures eyes. That was about the only thing good about her flimsy weapon, was the tiny bit of powder that the puff still held, it was good for quick touch ups, or for a second or so of irritating a youma that was bothering you.
“Can you smack it with your telescope again, please?” She spoke to the Polaris Page, hoping the girl would be a help in fighting the youma…and not continue to be completely scared out of her wits. It was hard to fight a creature that seemed that strong when you had nothing more than your fists, a powder puff and some cute shoes!
“Us girls have to work together, after all…right?” She assumed this girl was a page…and…a new one…Senshi didn’t have weapons, did they? She didn’t really know, but…a dinky telescope like that…it seemed page like. But, who could really be sure.

The powder puff hit the sharkdog youma square in the nose and caused it to yelp, reeling back onto its feet to scratch at its face. The powder seemed to irritate its sinuses greatly, as it was huffing and snorting terribly in an effort to be rid of the stuff. Sutai's grip on Caelian's body loosened slightly at the older woman's request. "Hit it again? Like... hard?" Her voice trembled with fear and her eyes were locked on the monster's occupied form. The thing terrified her and she was never good at sports... how could she hope to do any damage?
At Caelian's behest (she was right, girls have to stick together!), Sutai took up her telescope, extended it to its full (and flimsy) length, and inched towards the youma. It squeaked and squealed, trying to shake its head or wipe it against the ground, the powdery white stuff sticking all over its face. Sutai issued her own whimpers and whines and frequently looked back to Caelian for guidance. "Do I have to?!" she mouthed, but knew she had to go through with it. Camelot would be so disappointed!
Closing her eyes, the fledgling page lifted her telescope high in the air and... swung wildly up and down, smacking the youma repeatedly in the head, back and rump. After swinging seventeen, twenty, maybe twenty five times (half the time hitting nothing but air), Sutai squeaked and ran back behind the Page of Venus without looking at whatever damage she'd done. The youma staggered around, stars in its eyes.
"Did I do okay is it gone yet did we kill it?!"

Caelian was terribly pleased at how the puff had affected the youma, and was quite impressed at how Sutai had gone all out smacking it silly with her telescope. If only that other girl…Peklo had been so willing to protect herself like this. Hm. “Good job with that! We’ve almost won here, almost. Are you any good at kicking things? I think the reason we get shoes with heels on them is so we can better turn the youmas into dust, or at least that’s my opinion on the matter.”
She grinned moving towards the youma, kicking at its legs, knocking the porr stunned thing over. Well, maybe it wasn’t such a poor thing, but…
She drew her leg up then, stomping on the thing over and over, imagining that it was a very large bug that just needed a proper introduction to the bottom of her shoe. That was all any terrible creature needed, after all. Some good stomps to turn it into a pile of shimmering dust. Or a pile of goo. Depending on the animal.

"Ugh but... eww Caelian it's... eww!"
After much whimpering and whining, Sutai followed the elder page's lead, lifting a leg, turning her head away and stamping like mad. She pretended it was a forest fire and she was saving kittens and puppies and bunnies like Camelot would say to. She was snuffing out evil! Right! One sharkdog at a time! Sutai's arms were curled around her head and her eyes squeezed shut. Oftentimes her heel would smack gravel and other times... she didn't want to remember the sickening squelch of monster meat being mashed into the ground.
The women made quick work of the youma, its body disintegrating into the nothingness from whence it came. Before long, there was no evidence whatsoever that anything had even been there in the first place. When the noise subsided, Sutai performed a few more stomps to be absolutely sure the thing was gone before opening her eyes cautiously. She blinked at Caelian. "Did... did we win?"
Golden eyes peered up and down the street and there was no sign of the youma. Everything was quiet again. Sutai then launched herself at the elder page and squeezed her in a tight hug. "Oh thank you thank you Miss Caelian! You saved my life! Just like Camelot! You knights are amazing! I wish I could be like you! I have so much to learn and I'm so scared sometimes..."

With a sigh of absolute relief, Caelian nodded, pursing her lips and using her powder puff to dab at her face. Well. That was something she didn’t get to do very often, and it was kind of fun just to powder her own nose for a change. “We won, it’s all over now.” She blinked as the other girl hugged her and laughed, hugging back. “So, what’s your name, hm? Also, may I ask just what you are? Are you a Senshi, or are you a Page like I am?”
There were just so many questions to ask. After all, she had never seen someone who looked like Sutai before. How pretty her outfit was, and all of those jewels in her hair…she was almost like a work of art rather than some super hero. “Well, I’ll help you learn if you’d like, and I’m sure the fear will pass…it’s starting to fade for me, a little. Or, well. I feel like I can keep my head in a crisis now a little more. I’m still really new at all of this fighting stuff, but it’s helping to keep meeting others who are working to make the world safer too! But…”
But meeting the good guys also meant meeting the bad guys as well…and that was hardly ever a good experience. “I think you and I will both have a lot more to learn…”

Sutai took to celebrating the defeat of the youma with wild cheering and jumping. Her crystal-braided hair whipped about like a missile. When she realized it, she snatched up her hair and blushed profusely. "Sorry about that... Ah, Camelot, he said I'm a page! Or a knight. I think a page. He said he knew because we were almost killed by this other monster thing, and then this light showed up and a telescope was in it and it felt like... like it was for me! Or something." Sutai scratched her cheek for a moment, trying to think of the right word. "And then I touched it and all this happened!"
She gestured to her outfit, which she was still trying to figure out. It was too ornate to be armor and therefore useless against any real attacks. She wasn't sure what it was supposed to do for her. Crystals, crystals everywhere! "I'm Sutai! Um... I'm not sure if I'm Earth or Venus or what. I just... I'm confused. I just kinda... know it up there!" The fledgling page pointed in the general direction of the sky. "I'm still trying to figure it all out. If this thing has lasers, it didn't come with an instruction manual and there aren't any buttons on it." Screwing her face up in concentration, Sutai extended and retracted the telescope a few times, hoping to find the mysterious OMGWTFBBQlaser button that was no doubt on it somewhere.
The fledgling page nodded at Caelian's words. "I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks they have a lot to learn. Is there like... a seminar or something? Maybe a, like, Paging 101 class we could attend? That would be super helpful."

Caelian nodded, laughing at the girls enthusiasm. “Yes, yes. You are a Page…just like I am! Huh, at least you got to power up for a reason, Sutai. I was just sitting at home…I had been attacked by this strange woman and ended up in the hospital..and I was thinking about it and how I wanted to protect my daughter…and a powderpuff showed up and I took it, and…” She gestured to her own cotton candy clothes. “And I became Caelian.”
She took a good look at the girl and nodded. “Well, I don’t…I don’t think you’re of Earth or Venus, to be honest…I could be really wrong! Please don’t think I know much…because I really, really don’t…but…” She pointed to the symbols of Venus that were on her own outfit. “You don’t have any Venus symbols…or any Earth symbols…I think they look like a circle with a plus sign inside of them, if I remember right.” She made a face, trying to remember back to when she learned the planetary symbols. Had that been highschool? So long ago. “I’m not sure what you represent..but that’s okay! We can figure it out, Sutai…and no…there’s not instruction manual, not that I’ve seen. Though, I will admit I’m still looking for one.”
She gave a little laugh, then looked around, making sure that there was nobody around, before turning back into her civilian form. “Would you like to come back to my place for some chocolate milk or hot chocolate or something? I think we could talk about a few more things, if you’d like…and we wouldn’t have to worry about getting attacked by anything else there.”

It was beyond a relief to know someone else out there besides herself was new to this, and a page like her to boot! Maybe all the female pages got silly, ornate outfits and the boys got armor? Or something? Seemed rather sexist to Sutai. "You were protecting your daughter? You're a good mom, then. An excellent mom. Nobody could ask any more of you. Well..." She tilted her head in sudden thought, touching a finger to her lower lip. "...well I guess the universe is asking more of you but... moms can handle that sort of this. You're a mom, moms are tough!"
Sutai made a pose and grinned widely. Now she was wondering if her own mother was a superhero, but somehow she doubted it. Unless mama could slip in and out of the house and be cooking dinner by the time Anandi came home. It was possible. "So I'm not Earth or Venus. Hmm... and we're supposed to have symbols on us?" The page started to look down at her outfit and twist this way and that in an attempt to find something. "Do you see anything? I have all these stars but... I didn't pay much attention in astronomy class..."
She was about to start pouting, bearing down on herself for slacking off in school when the offer of hot chocolate blew everything else out of her mind. That's it - Caelian was officially Best Mom Ever. "I'd love some hot chocolate! That would be wonderful! Oh thank you, Caelian!" Sutai then koala'd onto the elder page and hugged her warmly.

She nodded, laughing and returning the hug. “Moms are very tough, that is true…and I think we really have to be in order to keep up with our children. Mine especially. Maybe you’ll meet her back at my house.” The woman drew away from the hug a moment later. “My name…when I’m not a page is Bellatrix. So, if you ever need anything…or you, you know, see me around. Just say hello or whatever.”
It was thrilling, she decided. Meeting all of these new knights and pages and everything. It was making the transition from normal mom to ‘super mom’ a rather pleasant and enjoyable one. There was a sense of…well, of strength that she didn’t have in her day to day life, and the feeling that there were so many others all fighting to protect the innocent and everything…it just made a person feel good inside.
“So…come on, Sutai. Go back to your normal self and let’s go get some hot chocolate.” Another link to another page…maybe she was following whatever instructions had been given in that room…maybe unity really was what it was all about. Rebuild ties, rebuild everything.

"Yes ma'am!" Sutai stood at attention, saluted, and thought about herself as she was in her daily life. Her costume melted away and revealed a very normal looking student with the same bright eyes as her page self. "I'm Anandi Rai! But you can call me Anandi. Or Randi. Some people call me that too." With a giggle, she smoothed out the ruffled skirt of her HITS uniform - she powered up right after coming home from school while her mother was out.
All ready to go, Anandi followed Bellatrix back to her house, not having any idea what sorts of terrors awaited her there in the form of a redheaded child Jedi...
