Everything started out simple enough. A worldwide search for teenagers to try out this awesome new product. A pill said to increase intelligence with absolutely no side effects. Parents warned that if it seemed too good to be true, it usually was. But nobody listened with the chance of getting a hundred dollars to just try the product over their heads.
There was only one testing facility, and it was in the middle of nowhere. Some turned back here...others went forward, determined to get their hundred dollars. There were two groups...the control...and the actual test. Nobody was told who was on which side.
After waiting for what seemed like forever, and after the subjects were made to sign a waiver, they gave out the pills. They were giant pills that were hard to swallow but you were one of the determined ones. You wanted this money...
Shortly after the pills were swallowed...one by one...people fell out of their chairs. This caused panic. This caused uproar. The people giving out the pills said this was normal. A side effect to the previously no-side effects. You were lied to. That wasn't a side effect. Those people were dead.
After a while, only six people remained. Six people were alive out of the original 290 test subjects.
Without warning you're sent into a room. Isolation it seemed. And that's when it happened..the sleep...and the change.
The subjects awoke to pain. They were shorter than before...but their senses were on fire. Their sight perfect, their balance unbreakable.... It wasn't until they looked in the mirror in their rooms that they saw it.
They weren't human any more. On their heads there lay ears of a cat....their spines had also elongated into a tail. No. This isn't a nightmare. This is real. And these lucky few who lived through it are now working for the government. These few have been erased from history, their families, and lives. They are the perfect stealth soldier. Going in and out without being caught because they know if they're caught... They're dead.
