If you pick the first, please enjoy a pleasantly boring and mind-numbing task. At least you can socialize a bit here without feeling useless, in the way, or in immediate danger of your life.
If you pick the second...
Minnie is all enthusiasm and flailing limbs as she explains that her new bandages, when properly applied to the wounded, should make them less visible to enemies. "So you won't have to worry about someone ummm...shanking your ahhh...bro, when they're down! Am I saying this right? Well, you understand! Just try one and see!"The OOC roll 1d4

2 - You feel refreshed but no change
3 - You spend the next hour thinking you are invisible. And not just in the self-pitying emo fashion, but as in legit super hero power-invisible. But naw bro, you're really not.
4 - You turn into a penguin. A passing tech sees you, sighs, and ushers you out of the tent. You turn back in an hour. If the tech is kind, they'll tell you to make sure you have a blanket or set of clothes nearby when the time's up. Otherwise enjoy your naked, Dances with Penguins.

As boring as it was, Robert was used to being assigned the menial tasks that a monkey could do. So he started his first check of the runes, looking through the microscope with each one.

Jerry... wasn't sure what to feel right now. Just... block it all out from his mind. His bites were itching terribly, though. With a sigh, he drifted into the lab tent, hoping someone would have some ointment or... something. Unfortunately... it just seemed there were bandages. It was always... hit or miss with runic technology but, hey... what was the worst that could happen?
Forcing himself to smile once he spotted Robert already inside, he gave a little wave and a "Hi," As a tech approached him, an intent look on her face as a bandage was slapped onto some of his bites.
Well.. the itching had stopped but... "Oh uh... Is... Am I supposed to feel sort of..." He gave a small squeak of surprise as suddenly he vanished into a pile of hunter coat and sweater vest.
The yelp sounded almost like a startled "WARK?"

A second round of checking found absolutely no difference from the first round - which wasn't surprising, really. Robert still did not complain, somehow easy to accept that this was just part of the job, and not just 'keep him out of the way' busy work.

After having crashed for awhile, Deryk got on up feeling a little better. Not a whole lot, but he was able to function more easily now. He made his way into one of the tents to help out with a thing or two, and apparently there were some new bandages to be tested. Well it certainly sounded good, being able to hide injuries.
Looking over the bandage, he shrugged and went on applied it. The next thing he knew, the world was suddenly bigger.
"Wark? .....Wark.. Wark..? .... WARK!?"
Oh god what just happened to him?! Deryk!Penguin began to flail on around with his flippers and waddly feet.

Syd walked into the tent, just to get out of the cold, but when they offered to let her help--trying out the bandages was helping, right? She took the chance and placed one on her forehead.
The world around her started to grow larger. She felt her clothing falling around her, only the gold choker that was her weapon staying on as she somehow grew much closer to the ground.
"Not again," someone said from above. She let out a strange noise, something like "WARK!" as she felt herself being pushed out the exit, into the snow.
"Wark!! Wark!" she complained, her wings flapping up and down. Wait... wings?

Aleister had gone to help in the lab figuring that would probably be one of the last places he could get into trouble at. Sitting there he suddenly noticed that there was a tech working with bandages. His leg was still a bit sore but letting someone test out bandages how bad could it be?
He took one and applied it. He was suddenly feeling pretty invisible. After thinkinga few seconds he left to raid the kitchen for their goods. Mostly the poptarts.

After the final check of the runes, Robert put them all back in the box, and labeled them as triple checked. Then he handed them off happily, and snagged one of Minnie's bandages. Minnie seemed like the kind of girl who liked to experiment, just like he did. All of Robert's 'experiments' were locked up in a drawer back at the Life Labs, labeled 'Hazardous Materials Do Not Touch', but he couldn't read that sign. All he knew was that people weren't allowed to touch his stuff, and he was fine with that.
So he slapped a bandage on, and the sudden overwhelming feeling of greatness filled him. He lifted his hands, and saw nothing.
He was invisible. And with great power, came great responsibility.
Robert was immediately off to go see if he could catch Maddie picking her nose.

Aleister had returned a few hours later, he didn't find any poptarts and he may or may not have really been invisible. He really didn't get to search the kitchen as thoroughly as he'd liked. Since someone showed up. He seemed to be thinking as he looked around.
Well looked like Minnie still needed test subjects. Eh Why not, it didn't hurt the last time. The only thing was he was still poptartless which meant he didn't have an emergency snack. Maybe he'd get lucky this time if he was feeling invisible again.
He used the bandage, and yup, once again he felt like an invisible super hero. His job? To make sure there were no moldy poptarts on base and acquire a snack!

Jason had pretty much been useless the whole time he had been here. Well at one point he had tried to fight the army of bugs, but that hadn't work out so well, and he had ended up running for his life with the other trainees.
Now, he found himself feeling rather cold, but eager to do...something, and not be useless, so he ventured into the lab tent, and offered to help test out the new bandages. Apparently they would make him invisible.
Once applied, he then felt...amazing. Better then he had ever felt. He didn't give a damn that he had did nothing to help out, because now he was the man. He could do anything he wanted cause no one could see him. And so he strutted around the lab thinking he was all that, while in his head were the quiet laughter of his weapon

At first Candace had picked the first task. She'd rather look in a microscope than be someone's lab rat.
But then she nearly fell asleep with boredom.
So with a sigh Candace had agreed. She'd do it. She'd...subject herself to Minnie's experiments. Less visible, though? That was great! So, with a smile, Candace applied one to her arm. She felt great! It was like she hadn't been on a mission at all yet! Like she was just waking up on a new day!
Sure, she'd try another.

Wait! She felt something that time! She totally felt it! Candace blinked. She had to be invisible now, right? She had to be. But how could she tell? She could still see herself. She didn't know how this s**t worked.
"...Give me another." She took the next bandage herself. Obviously if she was invisible Minnie couldn't hand her a bandaid.
