Jolteon left her makeshift den in the early hours of the morning, happily stretching her legs in the sunlight. Every inch of the slender cheetah glistened in the pure glow of the light. Ever since she had taken to travelling with her best friend, Jirachi, he had been taking care of her fur. It seemed like every evening he was forcing her to bath in the water and submit to his ruthless cleaning routines.
Still, she couldn't help, but to smile. It felt good to be clean, and mostly, to feel wanted. Having that constant company made it feel like she had a real family again. With that thought in her mind, she gaily pranced down to the watering hole.

Mirage missed his family dearly, but he was having the time of his life in the rogue lands. no responsibilities and no one to tell him what to do and there were other's just like him. This morning he was just running about like a cubs, rolling in the dirt and enjoying the cool morning air.
He'd been up before sunrise, which was something he was never inclined to do as a cub. Nope, he'd wait for one of his mom's or dad to wake him. Now, however, he was in charge of himself and maybe one day he'd even hold a harem.

Jolteon had just finished her drink when she began to smell a strange scent on the wind. It wasn't like her to put much stalk into them, as she didn't have the sharpest nose, but this one was just...odd. The golden cheetah lifted her head, and turned to see a...small lion? With a little cheetah scent?
He had a mane, that much was certain, but still....Then she noticed what he was doing. Was cubbish actions something that came along with owning a mane, or were all lions this silly? Shaking her head, she dipped her head back down to drink.

Spotting the waterhole, Mirage headed for it full steam ahead. He charged right into the water, without so much as a care for anyone else around or anything that might possibly hurt him.
"Waaahhh whoooo," she shouted splashing up water all around him, soaking his fur and allowing the dust colored dirt away from his blue fur. His nighttime scene becoming more visible as the water ran down his back.
Mirage laughed happily splashing about even though by the days end he would probably be fully dust colored again.

Jolteon, while entitled to be flat out pissed, closed her eyes and counted down from ten. Patience was something she had learned while raising her first litter, and by living with Jirachi she was able to put those lessons to use every day. She just needed to keep her cool and -
"Do you have no respect for others?" She snapped. Okay, so maybe that wasn't the calmest approach, but seriously? The cheetah was soaked, and upset at having her perfect day ruined. How oblivious could he be?

Mirage jumped startedly slightly before noticing the now soaked cheetah near him. He flushed slightly, embarrassed, was also trying desperately not to laugh. He hadn't meant it and really he should have been paying more attention.
"I'm sorry," she said with a big grin, padding over to her spending up small splashes as he came, "I didn't mean to get you wet. Don't image that was the kind of bath you were looking for."
By his mannerism one could tell he wasn't exactly seasoned, but obviously he was old enough to know better. However where he came from, what he just did wouldn't have been a big deal, not really. When one saw Mirage coming, one simply moved or braced oneself.
He gave a weak laugh, "I'm Mirage Mehtab, by the way. I really am sorry."
