When Jolteon ran, she felt as free as the wind that danced down her golden back. Her long, slender legs had carried as far as the edge of the ocean, and through it's shallow waters she had discovered a fascination with water. The normally driven cheetah giggled and laughed as she danced in its waves. Having the sun warm her back while she played felt wonderful after so many nights of wandering through chilly jungles.
For the first time in a long time she felt alive.

 Tthe male was not like the female, he didnt much like to run.. But he had found running in sand especially tiresome. He didnt let it get him down.. He didnt let anything get him down. He smiled as the waves rushed over his paws. It was cold but it refreshed him. It would have made him blind to miss the cheetah. she was obviously in good spirits. Good! It was about time he had some fun! "Hello! Good day." He greeted.

Is that a pink lion? She would have had to have been blind to miss that fur against the sand, and yet, Jolteon felt only little curiosity. She'd seen bright males before, and even brighter females, but it was nice to see a friendly face.
"Good day to you as well! Isn't the water gorgeous? It's my first time seeing so much of it." Jolteon's smile glowed as she turned her violet gaze out across the water. At times it looked almost green before it shifted into a pearly blue. It was the most amazing thing she had ever seen. "Do you live here?"

He walked the distance between them, slowly getting closer to her as he did. Though she was in the rather shallower parts, while he was only testing the tide with his paws.
"The water is amazing. I find I've been incredibly entranced!" He said with a chuckle. He splashed some of the water, and then did it again for good measure. Yep. He could have fun here.
"Uh, Unfortunately I do not. I am just passing through. Do you live here?" He returned the question.

Jolteon waited for him to approach her before shifting into deeper water; feeling gratified when it brushed up against her knees. She laughed at his splashing, and couldn't help, but to shoot a spray of water his way with a flick of her paw.
"Me? Oh, no. I'm the same as you, I suppose. I'm travelling with a friend, and this is the first time we've been to this far out. I might have to come back one day." Maybe one day, she would actually be so old she couldn't run anymore and would be forced to settle. Would she stay here, then? Living out her days and die by the water? She smiled at the morbid thought. It sounded really nice, actually.

He chuckled, shielding himself with his front leg from the splash though it did little to stop it. He smiled at her, pouncing further into the water, and taking a mouthful and streaming it out of his maw like a fountain at her.
"That actually,.. tastes really bad, you don't want to try that." He admitted, and laughed again, before making a gross face.
"Oh well thats good! Two travelers having a day out in Heaven, eh?" He found himself drawn to her wonderfully bright coat..

Jolteon squeeled and tried to shield herself with a paw, but couldn't truly hide from the spray. She shook her head, violet eyes twinkly with mirth. If only she had a fully mane like the lion; if she had, then she would soak it with water and shake it all over him!
"It does?" Of course, she had to dip her head down and try it. As soon as some of it entered her mouth, Jolteon spat it out and grimaced. "You're right...it's disgusting. How can so much water taste so bad?" At least she wasn't thirsty.
"Heaven?" She laughed. "I guess it could be. It is really nice out here. Of course, that's in no small part thanks to your charming company."

He laughed out loud when she took the swig anyway. She was silly, yet he knew he would have done the same thing. It was sort of like telling a cub that there was something really gross outside, and that he must not go find it. He smiled at her, and nodded.
"Tooold ya so."
He smiled at her compliment, and bowed his head. His orange, pink tipped mane falling into his eyes. He flicked it back with a paw and winked at her.
"The company on my end isn't so bad either. My name is Chap." He greeted.

Mane's were something she was just now getting used to. Jolteon didn't spend time with many lions and to see one with such a beautiful, bright mane was...refreshing. Attractive, even. He was almost as bright as the setting sun.
"It's nice meeting you, Chap. I'm Jolteon." She shrugged her shoulder, giving him a little look before she started to walk down the beach. "You'll have to forgive me - I'm too active to stay in one place for too long."

"I'd say the pleasure was mine." He said, and his face softened. She truly was lovely. He didn't meet many other felines besides lions these days.. In fact this was his first face to face run in with a cheetah. She was thin, lithe..Graceful and her eyes made him tremble. She truly was a beauty. "I would like to go with you then." He said, walking beside her. He was okay with needing to move. He moved all his life. Always. He didn't like stopping for long, it wasn't natural to him. Which is why he would abandon these lands probably within a few days, depending on how long he had her company.
