It had been a quiet evening so far. Nothing too out of the ordinary - a stray cat had almost had her shouting out attacks and leaping out fist-first, but she'd kept her cool and the feline had lived to see another day. Speaking of cats, it occured to Eos that she hadn't seen any Guardian Cats in a long time. ********* had awakened her, and she sort of missed the manx. Whilst she'd gotten the impression that she hadn't been what the feline was looking for, it would still be nice to see her again. Or any guardian cat - she'd heard of many, but never actually met any other than *********. Was it Abel, that Pyxis had talked about sometimes? Eos needed to make an effort to meet more cats, or just more people in general. As a senshi, she no longer had any connections. The Basterds were gone, and whilst Europa was acting as her mentor she had her own court to worry about. Eos needed to link up, gain some allies. She jumped across from the roof she was on to another, glancing over the surrounding area briefly before dashing across that roof and onto the next. It wasn't too cold tonight - just chilled enough that she wasn't getting too hot from the exercise. The park was to her left and she frowned when she spotted something in the shadows, halting her stride to squint and try to take a closer look.

Being a super hero was awesome! He never felt so alive in his life before! Not when hiking up mountains or jumping across creeks with his Boy Scout troop! Nope! Now he could jump really high, run really fast, and do just really cool things in general!
Of course, ever since powering up, Oberon had been careful about who he ran into. He didn't want to get yelled at by the people he promised he would be careful and not go out alone. He was being careful, though! He was doing his best to avoid monsters and other bad things!
But even then there wasn't anything he could do when a youma locked onto his energy source.
"Uh oh," he nearly squeaked at the sight of a monster that looked like a cross between Big Bird and a dinosaur. It had a long neck and beak like an ostrich and wings that were too small to allow flight, but it also had long, powerful, clawed legs.
After trying to duck under some monkey bars and laughing as the youma temporarily got its head stuck between the rungs, the chibi senshi bounced up into the branches of a tree, wondering if it would be worth it to call Ganymede for backup. Nah... he'd definitely be yelled at... and his dad had just died, hadn't he...? So yeah, Ganymede was out of the question...
But not all was lost! Another happy energy seemed to be somewhere near by, and Oberon glanced around to see if he could catch sight of the senshi or whoever it was. "Hey! Hey over here!" he chirped, trying to use the light of his phone as a signal. He was still peeved that there wasn't any internet access on his senshi phone... "Look out for the youma, though!"

Eos hadn't been concentrating on the surrounding area, and as such it had taken her a few moments to notice the power signatures. One was definitely youma, but one was different to what she was used to. It was order-aligned, but the feel of it wasn't quite senshi. Familiar, but still...different. The sound of shouting only quickened her pace as she quickly skimmed across the roof of two buildings, gazing down into the shadows of the park. A large avian-like youma was going mad trying to thrust its beak into a tree, and there was a small glowing light coming from the tree. Sort of like a phone... "Hello?" Eos called out, vaguely seeing a white shirt through the leaves. "Hold on!" She jumped down from the building and crossed the street, building up momentum as she ran and pooling it into her legs and she thrust one up to strike the preoccupied youma. She managed to hit it somewhere around where its shoulders should have been, causing it to stumble backwards and screech in pain. "Eos Flash!" She was quick to follow up with her attack, allowing magical energy to rush from her palms and engulf the youma. "Are you okay?" she called, only getting a brief glance into the tree as she kept a wary eye on the youma, watching it turn and focus on her with sinister beady eyes. (will lose sight next post, yay!)

"Oh cool! Magic!" Oberon grinned with excitement, hopping down from his place in the branches as the older senshi attacked the youma for him. "What does it do??" He couldn't help but be curious! He hadn't met many senshi, and he was glad to see that this girl was going to help him.
Sure, it would probably be easier for him if he was taller. Being four eight was no fun, especially when he needed to fight scary things, but at least he could duck out of the way easily. Kind of like dodge ball. Only with claws and fangs and beaks instead of rubber balls. But the comparison was close enough.
"I'm Oberon! Senshi of adventure," he introduced excitedly, barely glancing at the youma that had now been knocked back, but was quickly trying to recover. Instead, Oberon took the time to quickly circle around the girl, as if to inspect her. "What are you the senshi of? You're a senshi, right? You feel like a senshi, at least. I'm not supposed to be out here right now, but you're not going to tell anyone, are you?" he pouted at her in a way he hoped would make her want to indulge him.
The youma didn't seem to be all that happy now that it had been attacked, and finally pushed itself back to its feet, turning to charge blindly at the sound of the chibi senshi and his rescuer.

The senshi hopped down, and Eos was initially surprised at how small he seemed. But then all become clearer as he approached - it was a kid. He had to be ten, eleven tops. What the hell was a kid doing out here this late? And then what was with the order power signature that was radiating off of him? It was almost...purer than she was used to, more precious. Oberon, Senshi of Adventure. Eos's mouth remained open for a few moments the sheer shock of the situation stopped her from adopting a more attractive expression, before she finally composed herself and started the task of answering his questions. Palms came up to try and indicate to him to slow down as she struggled to keep up, "Sailor Eos, Senshi of Senses, yes...wait no. No, I won't te-- look out!" She'd forgotten momentarily about the youma until it gave an angry shriek, unimpressed at suddenly finding itself blind. The noise they'd been making gave it more than enough direction however, as it swooped towards them with it's claws outstretched and ready to tear at flesh. Eos's arms slipped under the young boy's armpits, yanking him from the ground in a way that probably wasn't all that comfortable and lunging to the side to avoid the razor-sharp talons. Her own arms groaned at the effort - he was heavier than he looked! - and she herself stumbled a little, landing awkwardly on her ankle to ensure that he wasn't injured and landed safely on his two feet. "Are you okay?" Quickly realizing that any questioning or chitchat would have to wait until after, she put her finger to her lip in the universal sign for silence. "Sssh, it can't see it," she whispered, her point made clearer when the youma smashed into a tree it hadn't anticipated meeting. Hopefully this would be quick. Her ankle throbbed somewhat painfully but she pushed that to the back of her mind as she descended on the confused and recovering youma, delivering two quick strikes to the back of it's skull.

The chibi senshi stared with wide eyes as the older girl grabbed him, and he let out a rather undignified squawk as she carried him to safety. Not that it was all that necessary to protect him! He was a senshi too, after all!
He nodded to indicate that he was okay and opened his mouth to complain, but when he was met with the signal to be quiet he quickly shut his mouth with a pout. Well, yeah he realized that she was just trying to keep them from getting attacked by the youma, but he wasn't totally helpless.
At first he thought that she was just going to hide from the monster, but then she attacked, and Oberon stared with eyes wide in amazement. "Woah, that was awesome!" he cheered, bouncing up and down in excitement now that she was back to kicking the youma's butt. Heck, he wanted to try and kick its butt, too! The more he learned, the more helpful he'd be, right??
Taking step forward to mimic her path, Oberon jumped up to try and land a hit like she did. The youma had already recoiled back at the previous attack, and was on its way to straighten back up when the child jumped forward. It growled in displeasure and struck out, catching the edge of Oberon's boot and causing him to tumble out of the air and onto the grass.
Okay, so he needed to plan his attack a little better, but this was still a learning experience, right??

Perhaps she was being a bit patronizing, but then again this was a young child running out and about late at night in a silly costume that made him look like a senshi. Was he playing make-believe or something? But then again, there was that freaking massive power signature radiating off of him. Eos let out a soft groan - she was so confused. He cheered for her as she fell upon the youma, and she couldn't deny the slight swell of her heart in pride. It hadn't been that long ago that she wouldn't ever have considered using such violence, but times changed and she needed to get with the programme. This was how you survived against the Negaverse - it was kill or be killed. But still, this was for her, a completely independent teenage girl. Not for a little boy. She was surprised when he followed her example, eyes growing wide as she attempted to should to stop. The youma caught the edge of his boot with a lucky shot, causing him to tumble off into the grass (at least it was grass and not concrete). Torn momentarily between checking whether he was okay or finishing the youma, Eos opted for the latter and descended on the beast again, dealing a roundhouse kick to the face followed by several strikes to the eye-area. The youma gave a great scream, thrashing around before finally dissolving in front of their eyes, seeming to disappear into dust. Breathing heavily, limping slightly on her injured ankle, Eos made her way over to her fallen comrade. "Hey, are you alright?"

He was only in the grass, face first, for a few moments, before he popped back up, spitting out dirt and wiping his face as he watched the older senshi finish the youma off with a one-two combo.
There weren't many battles that he'd witnessed first hand, so when he got to see a senshi in action, it was kind of awesome. "Me?? Yeah, I'm great!" he chirped, jumping to his feet as she made his way over to him. He lifted a hand to wave in front of his face as if to push the youma dust away from his eyes. "That was really cool. Eos, right? The way you jumped, and then you kicked it, and then BOOM it just busted into dust. That was my favorite part. I mean, I helped a little, but I think you should take more of the credit for this one. I thought I was going to be eaten for a few minutes but then you showed up," he rambled, staring up at her with wide, awe-inspired eyes.
It didn't take him too long for him to notice her limp though, and his eyes narrowed as he lowered them to her leg. "Did you get hurt?" he frowned, before squatting down as if getting closer to her ankle would make it more obvious or not. "You are hurt, aren't you? You shouldn't be putting pressure on it! I could probably carry you, you know! You're not that much bigger than me," he pointed out. She saved him, so it was the least he could do to repay her.

His chirpiness grated on Eos slightly - how was he so awake? It was late, and she herself was exhausted. Then again, she had just dusted a youma. She nodded as he asked her name again, still catching her breath. Whilst Selena was usually a maternal person and quite enjoyed entertaining children with games of hide and seek or tag, right now Eos quite wanted to limp her way back home and into bed. Some beacon of maternal instinct was retained in the blonde, however - she couldn't just leave a child alone, certainly not this late. Even if he did appear to be a senshi. And she had to admit, being stared at with wide-eyed awe was a nice little ego-boost. Maybe he wasn't so bad. "I'm fine," she assured him, mustering the best smile she could manage. "So you're a senshi? You seem quite...young." She hadn't been informed of the younger chibi senshi that were beginning to populate Destiny City, but she still approached the subject with an edge of caution. Small children were easily offended, especially if you suggested they weren't able to carry out a task due to their tender age. "Adventure's a pretty cool sphere though." She added in the compliment, coupled with a more genuine smile, to try and keep him content.

"Yup!" he grinned in response to her requested confirmation that he was a senshi, but then quickly let his expression even out, knowing that some people didn't exactly like the fact that he was young... It was a lot of bologna if anyone asked him! Just because he was young didn't mean he wasn't capable!
"I think so," he said a bit warily, looking her over once more, as if suddenly curious as to what her motivations were for saying his sphere was cool. He couldn't really do much with it besides make people really motivated to do things... or something like that, but that was fine with him.
"Don't you have school or something? Shouldn't you be in bed?" he asked, taking a few steps back, although eyeing her leg as he did so. She was hurt wasn't she, but he didn't really have anything with him to help her out. "I can give you a piggy back ride," he offered once more, not minding at all. "Or I can walk you closer to your home... Just so a youma don't decide to take advantage of an easy meal," he pointed out, using his hands to make a 'youma' impression by flexing his fingers a bit.
Okay, so she was probably perfectly fine, but he would feel guilty if he didn't say something. He might be eleven, but he was fast on his feet and could run away if he wanted. She, on the other than, looked kinda worn down and ready for sleep.

Well, at least he was a senshi, and it wasn't just her power signature radar going completely off course. He seemed a bit wary when she started talking about his sphere, and Eos mentally cursed herself - clearly she'd been too obvious. In all fairness, he did seem pretty mature for his age, and she certainly hadn't been great at fighting youma when she'd first started out. "Have you been a senshi for long?" If he'd only just started then this made a lot more sense - perhaps he just looked young for his age? School? Her eyes widened a little when he started asking if she should be in bed, and blood rose into her cheeks to create a furious red blush. Should she be in bed!? She wasn't some fifteen year old child! Trying to keep her cool, but clearly flustered, Eos cleared her throat before responding. "No, I don't." Then came the offer for a piggy back ride, and the red colour in her cheeks only became more and more tomato-like. "I think you'll find I was the one that just saved you from becoming youma-chow," she pointed out, not wanting to sound rude but wanting to remind him of what had just happened. She wasn't some damsel in distress, especially not for a child! Maybe if he'd been ten years older and a little more 'chiseled'... But he wasn't. "Which direction are you going?" If he was walking the same way as her then yes, it'd be nice to have company. But she didn't want him going out of his way, and she certainly didn't want him to feel like he had to.

"I mean, I guess you were pretty awesome," Oberon agreed thoughtfully. It wasn't every day that he was stuck fighting a youma. His magic wasn't that strong, so of course he would need help from time to time. That didn't mean he liked to admit it!
"I'm going that way," he said, pointing in the direction of the suburbs. His home was just outside the city. A fancy-pants gated community with big houses and even bigger egos. He liked to think that he and his parents weren't like all the others, but there were cliches and stereotypes for a reason, unfortunately.
He started heading in the direction of his home, but a few feet in front of Eos he stopped to turn around and show her a small, appreciative smile.
"Thanks..." he said, glad that he wasn't youma chow that night. He pulled out his senshi phone from his pocket, holding it up for her to see. "Is it okay if I get your picture?" he wondered, knowing that if he scanned her with his phone, he'd be able to give her a call in case he needed help... Not that he was going to admit that...
"You can get me too if you want. In case you need help some other time," he grinned, waiting for her permission before taking a quick shot.
xo -- k a i r i Sorry for the wait! I think it might be possible for you to close it with another post, unless you want it to be called finished here? Thank you so much, and I would love to grab you for RP again sometime! Oberon's going to be so sad to find out Eos got corrupted. QQ

Pretty awesome? Well, that made her feel better - she had been pretty awesome, after all. Smiling, she looked off in the direction he pointed - towards the suburbs, where all the rich kids tended to live. Eos wasn't one to judge, but she felt a slight pang of jealous as she imagined a nice cosy warm bed and a mug of hot coco. She was going back to her sofabed in the only apartment her and Leon had been able to afford. "I'm going this way." She pointed back towards the centre of the city, shrugging and smiling apologetically. Ah well, guess they were going their separate ways here.
When he pulled out his phone she frowned at first, before remembering the functions it had to record numbers and photos and all sorts of nifty things. "Of course!" She fetched her own phone, smiling for her picture before holding her own up and snapping his. The named 'Chibi Sailor Oberon' flashed up and she smiled, flipping her phone shut again and nodding. "It was nice to meet you, Oberon."
Deciding against ruffling his hair, she merely inclined her head and offered a warm smile before turning and scaling a building, darting across the roof and into the night.
