Kushal found himself sunbathing on a large flat rock. Why? He wasn't really sure. He'd seen the place in one of his visions and when he came across the spot he'd been pretty much compelled to have a good lie on it.
He wished he could remember the rest of his dream, but beyond the rock it all became a bit fuzzy, but he knew why that was. He tended to have several visions at a dizzing pace and not have anymore for a while. So he sat upon his rock wondering if it had been just the rock that he'd seen or if there was more meshed around in his head that he was missing.
Kushal yawned, stretching out a bit. He really did not enjoy the little curse in his head.
Myrsky’tuuli wasn’t exactly sure where she was, but she walked with her head high all the same. As a failed Viking, she felt a part of her needed more training to successfully rise to their level. In that sense, she wouldn’t lose her next fight and end up a failure. Again. She growled. It absolutely rubbed the huntress raw. Why couldn’t she win? She was strong enough, definitely fast enough, and she was clearer of mind than most, so what was it?
Her vibrant toes slipped across the land dejectedly, the bones of her armor clinking against her legs. She’d seen the leopard a while back, but thought nothing of him. Now that she was closer, she realized it may be a little harder to avoid him than she had first thought. With her cool gaze leveled on the path ahead, Tuuli started to walk around the rock.
Kushal blinked watching as lioness seemed to want to try to get around the rock and seemed to want to avoid him. He was perfectly content with that and breifly wondered in that was what he was missing in his vision. He frowned slightly at his thoughts. It would be very rude for him to not even utter a hello and he did not think himself a rude leopard.
"Hello," he said softly watching the other a bit curiously now. She was wearing things and well while that wasn't entirely odd, her wear clicked and seemed a bit awkward for one to wear. "Are you okay," she asked suddenly aware of her gate in his staring.
"Hello," Tuuli responded stoically. It wasn't as if she had expected to get away from him without saying anything, but even her tone made it clear interaction wasn't something she valued. Her vibrant eyes scanned over the leopard like he was no more than a slug. "Do I not seem okay to you? Just because I'm using my time productively does not make me ill."
Kushal frowned at her tone thinking back to the leopardess he had met in the jungle. Her next words made him frown even more on his unluckiness. He'd meant what he said in the jungle, for his it seemed that it was always the lovely one that want to just bit his head off.
"Forgive me, I did not mean for you to think I thought you ill. I meant that you just seemed a bit upset is all. It was terribly forward and really none of my business."
He sat up on his rock looking at the female and trying not to sigh. He'd really rather not another less than friendly encounter, but he figured at least the current one wasn't messing with his head.
"You're right, it wasn't." She stated bluntly, though not unkind. "I suppose, though, you're concern is well placed. I am upset." Tuuli paused next to the rock, the bone that had been resting on her ear shifting in the process. She wasn't entirely sure what had changed her mind about this leopard, but a conversation wouldn't be that horrific. That is, if it stayed brief. "I've recently lost a duel, and my mind hasn't been in it's right state."
Kushal wanted to retreat at the blantant way she insulted him, but instead ended up blinking when she seemed to do a complete turn about and well ... actually talk to him. He almost laughed, but he knew from her words that laughing might not end well for him.
"A duel," he questioned not really sure why the lovely young lioness would want to duel, but understood how losing wouldn't be very helpful or fun.
"I can see how that would make you upset, but surely their will be other duel. Even again with the one you lost too? Maybe if you trained a bit, then you could win."
He paused breifly thinking and decided to correct himself a bit, "I guess again that was a bit forward of me. Surely you train very hard, but a little extra never hurts, correct?"
Tuuli's eyes flattened. It was clear that talking to him WAS indeed a waste of time. Lay abouts like this leopard weren't knowledgeable in the ways of battle, anyway, so she must truly have been desperate. "There will be others in the future, but it still burns never the less." When he suggested she train, she started to growl until he caught himself. Smooth; really smooth. "When I'm not looking for opponents I'm hunting; training is at its limits. Few will go agaisnt me because of my size and gender, even if I can kick their a**. I'll do what I can and see what comes of it, I suppose."
Kushal realized where this was going and frowned at how he felt compelled to help the female. He didn't know much about dueling, but he could fight if need be, not that he went headlong into them. Truly he preferred to avoid such encounters. Today wasn't going to be one of those days, or at least he didn't think it would be.
"I would be will to help. I do not know much about dueling persay, but I am certain I could hold my own. I would be willing to help you get a little extra training in. Hunting while wonderful, is really meant to be a quick thing. I'm not sure how helpful it would be for endurance, but again, I'm not terribly knowlegdeable on the whole of the subject."
Kushal felt slightly nervous, why on earth was he doing this?
"Do you realize what you're saying? If I even considered your offer it would mean waking before the sun and working well into the night. Long, intense hours of fighting until I've perfected my technique." Tuuli quirked her lips into a grin. "Are you sure you can handle it?" Or more over, was he sure he would handle her. She wasn't exactly an easy person to get along with on the best of days, but with her spirits so frazzled, well...Tuuli was hell.
Kushal didn't realize it meant all that, but he had already offered and he wasn't about to take it back. He did really wish to help the female and he had a feeling that the string of visions he had revolved around the female before him, not that he could really remember any of it.
"I want to help you," she said with a small smile, "thats really all that matters. I said before, I can hold my own. Do not worry about it. Beside I will benefit as well. I will learn about dueling and become even more able to hold my own."
He looked the female straight in the eyes, "the choice is yours."
Tuuli just grinned. It wasn't a true smile, like the one she'd held for her daughter in the years before, but it was something deeper than her usual frown. She didn't know if this was going to work, or if he had anything to bring to the table. She didn't know when she would be able to return, and fight her next duel. All that Tuuli did manage to grasp was a strong positive feeling about this deal. "I accept your offer. We'll meet here in the morning."
Kushal nodded and hopped down off his rock. He was going to be well fed and well rested for this endeavor. He did not know what he was getting himself into, but he doubted he would come out of it unscarred.
"I will be here before the sun is up was it," he called to her over his shoudler as he moved away, "but now I must hunt."
He moved further away before realizing he hadn't given his name, but decided that would be something for the morning.
