The Open Canopy General setting: The open canopy is a series of simple wooden structures that may see at first, rather precarious, especially while climbing upwards. The structures themselves are actually rather sound and ironically, rather comfortable looking, similar in style to the dorm rooms, only much larger. Foliage and trees cover up a good portion of the view, but from the ground up, like all the other structures in the clan, the drop down would be rather far. OOC: EVENT ROLLS AND PROMPT MECHANICS: - When your student has arrived in this setting, you can CHOOSE to roll a 100-sided dice at any point in time. You can only do this twice per RP you make. Match your dice roll to the results below for a prompt/ small reaction that your student may discover. RP out results accordingly. 1-20: The area itself seems rather abandoned, though as you look a little past the area, you can see a few Clan members flying away, seemingly towards the portal exit. It looks like they're in a hurry, and heavily armed. 21 - 40: Black feathers are scattered all over the room. It looks like two clan members got into a fight here, judging from the heavy scratches on the ground, though what exactly happened? (see below for horsemen point prompt) - Horsemen point prompt! You also see something glint next to you, but is it just a trick of the light? Roll a 6-sided dice. If odd you obtain one horsemen point! You can only redeem a max of two from all prompt prps/orps your student is in per OOC 24 hours. You can redeem these here and here! 41 - 60: You hear a strange shrieking noise, as you look out, you notice a series of bird-like minipets perched next to this place. They are staring at you keenly for some reason.... maybe they want food? 61 - 80: You notice a single painting in the room, featuring a rather bloody, but illustrative, depiction of several Clan members of war cutting off the heads of what look like humans. 81- 100: The small fireplace inset in stone seems to contain bits and pieces of burnt, charred notes. Only the edges remain, revealing - maybe some sort of map?

Roch didn't want to go to the dorm rooms. They were rickety and crowded and he was getting a bit antsy without music--sure he had his eyepod and his phone, but that just wasn't the same. But the idea of pulling out his harmonica in front of the entire group--still not quite to where he felt professional enough to play it publicly, was a bit daunting. So he'd done the first thing that came to his mind--and looked for an empty canopy. Which was where he was at the moment, dressed in only his patched up shorts and combat boots, playing his harmonica as he lounged on the gigantic bed.

Edel could hear it, even from a few tree lofts away. The ghoul grinned and made her way towards the open canopy where it was coming from, enjoying the walk along the forest floor as she made her way there. She would have greeted him cheerfully with a “Hey” but the sight that greeted her – a punk reaper in just his shorts and combat boots, lying on the bed while playing the song – robbed her of words to say.
Eventually though, she still did manage a “Hey.”

He looked up. "Edel, yo," he said, grinning slightly at her. "Check out the size of this bed! It's enough for half the school," he exaggerated. "Almost enough to make me not miss my bed back at school," he added. "C'mon, hang out with me, would you?"
Then he patted the bed next to him, clearly expecting her to share the bed. "I can't play my guitar," he told her mournfully. "I miss my guitar."

Edel counting the number of times she had seen Roch dressed so .... minimally
Including this, it would make four.
Maybe she should get used to it. Now that just came out really wrong.
The ghoul raised her eyebrow at his request. “Not with you dressed like that, no,” she said flatly, though obviously a little amused by him, “Arel did say we should be on our best behaviour here ... ”
Grinning, the walked around the room, noticing that the black feathers left around still had not been cleared. Was that a glint between the wooden boards she saw?

Or maybe not, just nothing.
“Sorry about Desiree,” she sighed, sharing a bit of his sentiment. “She sounds lovely though,” she said, gesturing at the harmonica.
The bed was looking very tempting now, it was much better than the hammocks they got to sleep in. And she was feeling so tired ... so so tired from the class today ....

Roch sighed, looking at his harmonica with a shrug. "It's just a toy," he said, feeling a bit colder now that she was closer. He glanced around, catching sight of a fire place. That might be nice to use--but only when there was an ice demon hanging out in the room with you...
"Why do they got a fireplace in here?" he asked, getting off the bed and crossing over to it. "Looks like they used it..." He picked up a piece of charred paper, looking at it for a long moment. Looked like a map of sort. Oh well.

“Still lovely though,” she said, shrugging.
Edel immediately seized the opportunity to flop onto the bed now that Roch was at the fireplace. “Why not? It gets cold at night,” she replied, stifling a yawn. She turned her head to look at him and saw that he found a piece of charred map, not unlike the ones she had seen the in fireplace the day before.
“See anything strange happening around here lately?” she asked, curious to know if he had caught sight of some heavily armed war horsemen flying towards the portal the past few days, or anything else that was strange for that matter.

"Yeah," he said, turning back to her. "Looks like they're goin' to war," he told her as he tossed the piece of paper back into the fireplace and climbed back onto the bed--the bottom of the bed, so he was facing her. "Too much to ask that they go in and wipe out all the hunters, you think?" he said, sounding hopeful. He looked around, then shook his head. "Now probably isn't the place, either, though. Hey..."
He leaned forward, looking serious--suuuuper serious. It was a sure sign he was about to say something stupid. "You think they got anything we could juice to make popsicles with? Cuz this place would be PERFECT for some of those!"
Case in point.

The ghoul let out a small laugh. “Funny, that's exactly what Eris said.”
Edel didn't protest when Roch climbed into bed with her returned to claim his right to the bed, letting out a small yawn instead. “Could happen, if we're lucky,” she joked, finding that she too was sick of that topic and dropped it as well.
“Really Roch?” she asked Roch, seemingly unimpressed by his idea. “You could go ask some juice from the clanswomen, should be alright since you're nearly dressed like them,” she snickered. Though that said, she did fancy the idea of a having popsicle to cool down in this weather.

"Don't joke about it, Riley was tryin' to get me in them the other day already," Roch drawled. He glanced in the direction of the fireplace again, vaguely wondering if he could figure out what map it was--then saying screw it. He had a pal and a comfy bed, he was good!
"This was the clan that we won," he said. "But they haven't even mentioned our win--I seriously doubt it matters to them. It's starting to not matter to me, either," he admitted. "Although it was pretty fun at the time--other than the spike pit. That sucked."

Turning to face the fireplace again as Roch turned to look as well, Edel observed the edges of the map being consumed in the fire. Well, that was gone for good then.
“Riley tried to what?” she asked, bemused. The ghoul let out a small hmmmm? at what Roch said, recalling the fact that they did indeed win War's section of the trials. “I think so too, I'd rather not be judged with any expectations here though,” she mused. Edel winced at the mention of the spike pits, thankfully she didn't have to go through that.
In fact, thankfully, she didn't have to go through dissipated during the War Trials at all.

"She thinks I should run around in a loincloth like the war clans do," he said dryly. "I ain't Herryk, the idea of running around in a diaper just doesn't work for me--not that they look like diapers on the war clan, but hell, they ain't what I'm looking to run around in." He sighed, closing his eyes for a moment as his mind drifted back to the map.
"Hey, what clan are you going to next?" he asked. "Is it Conquest?"

Edel looked up to see the beautiful painting of the Horsemen wrecking havoc on the wall before turning back to face Roch. “I'm bound for Famine actually, though I take it that you would be going to Conquest then?” she asked in return. The idea of taking classes from the clan of Conquest after War seemed pretty logical, but the ghoul had wanted to experience something a little more different. At most, they could share their lessons from each clan after they got back to Amityville.

He pulled out his harmonica again and started playing another song, just relaxing in the company of a pal. One that he was glad was alive--then he stopped. "Hey, hey, Edel, where's Moure?" he asked. "I got most of my bros and almost all my ghouls here, but I'm definitely missing him."
Yes, the entire world revolved around Roch. Get used to it.
