By the time he had gotten into the kitchen, and Spencer was there as well, he had already expected a smart a** remark from his cousin. Of course, it came, and Samael just rolled his eyes. Oh, how there were times that he just wanted to hit Spencer in the head or the face or something. The younger man deserved it, did he not? Well, then again, all of them deserved to be hit, but sometimes Spencer deserved it a hell of a lot more. The two of them had gotten into fights in the past, too, mostly over something stupid or something that had really gotten on their nerves. Most fights were arguments, but there were still plenty of physical fights, too. Needless to say, they were both strong, and even though Samael didn't want to admit that he did lose to his cousin sometimes... he knew Spencer was capable of taking care of himself. And, if something were to ever happen to his current second-in-command; such as her not making it out of this alive? Well, Samael knew who would come second in line. As much as he didn't like it, Spencer would be capable of taking care of the pack and providing for it, even if he was an immature d**k at times.
Shaking his head some, Samael had opened his mouth to speak to his cousin... but something caught his attention. Both male's looked at each other; their almost identical blue eyes locking for a moment before Samael instantly reached into his pocket to grab his phone. He pulled it out, studying the touch screen for a moment before glancing to Spencer once again. It was a number he didn't recognize -- and considering it was late at night, Samael couldn't imagine who would be calling his phone at this time. Which, it seemed that both of the males were thinking the same thing: one of the missing girls. Whoever it would have been, Samael could only hope that one of the girls had managed to find some way to call him. To let him know they were all right. And at this very moment, his heart was pounding hard in his chest.
Pressing the button to pick up the call, Samael slowly brought it to his ear. He hesitated for a second, but finally managed to speak. "...Hello?" he said, his body tense and heart beating rapidly. But once the cracked voice on the other end of the line came out, Samael's heart stopped for a second.
"Samael?"
Swallowing hard, Samael closed his eyes for a moment. "Koreena... god, where the hell are you? Are you okay? Did they hurt you?" Right at this very moment, it seemed that Samael was showing more worry than he ever had in the past. He had feelings for Koreena -- he liked her. He may deny those feelings with every ounce of his body, but they were still there. And the fact that two of his pack members were missing was also an add-on. He didn't want them hurt; didn't want them gone. They were important to him, believe it or not. And he was going to help them get out of this thing alive if his own life depended on it.
