It was quiet.
It wasn't a normal quiet night however it was not a quiet that no creature looked forward to. It was a quiet that was followed by a darker landscape, and a cool breeze, although the cool breeze was nice the downpour that she could tell was coming was not something that she was looking forward to. There was a time of the year where after a dry spell water was welcomed however there had been days of rain lately so having a break was a beautiful thing, but now it was almost getting tiresome at least for a little while. The biggest thing that was getting tiresome to her was when she looked over in the distance and saw the rain approaching her and she knew she had to find a place to go, she must find a place to reset and a play to lay her head down so she can not get soaked while she was sleeping.
She knew that she needed to find some where to go for the night. It was getting later and she could see the clouds getting closer and closer to her, so far there wasn't a sign of shelter in sight and she was starting to get frustrated, she picked up her pace to a trot she was keeping an eye out for the first thing that she could see that would work as some shelter. She was getting tired, she had enough of wandering and she was about to give up and find a tree and sit under it. She hated wandering around seemly endlessly trying to find some where just to lay her head, it actually frustrated her, she just wanted to lay down but she wasn't that sure if that was going to happen. She paused as something she almost thought was a hallucination caught her sight.
She was pulling herself over a large rock and then she spotted it, really right under her feet, it was a small cave and she knew that was what she wanted. Now to find out if it was empty. She paused for a moment and then started to work her way down the slope of the rocks and then slowed down as she approached the front of the den, peering in she couldn't smell anyone however she was wondering if another was there, somewhere there anyway. She was hoping there wasn't but even if there was she was going to stay there if they liked it or not.
