It had been too long since she'd seen anyone else, and without a real direction in which to run, Christa found herself restless. The days were growing longer and the daylight was lasting further than it had the last few months. All these signs pointed to the coming of spring. Soon it would be a year since she'd taken up the mantle of becoming a senshi. And where had she been? Where was she going? How were the others doing? Without a constant battle to fight, the teen felt she had little else to do with herself other than hunt and train. But what would she do with herself as a civilian? Graduation would be soon upon them. Sighing, the gray haired teen sat on a bench in the park simply watching as people went by. Spring was a time for new beginnings, for rebirth and renewal. Fingers idly flipped her phone open and closed and a curious thought crossed her mind. Would the others feel the same way? Curiosity got the better of her and she sent a text to two others she'd grown close to since awakening the year before. It was short, concise and yet still very Christa. Since one was going to Paris, she left out most of her characteristic creeper vibes just for him. Text to Paris and Tallulah Thinking of you. Busy? Maybe we could spend some time together? If you arent busy I'm staying at the park reading. Would like to see you. - C

“Thinking of me? Why, Christa, I didn’t even know you felt that way.”
Paris stared down at his phone, frowning lightly as he considered his teammate’s digital missive. There was a teeny, tiny, bitter little part of him that thought about ignoring it, because even though he and Christa had consented to meet one another before, and even though they’d come to some sort of an understanding about their differences, they were nothing close to being the best of friends. They had something of an awkward peace between them, enough to exchange numbers, enough to know the other’s identity, but Paris certainly didn’t expect to be thought about, least of all by Kallichore.
Then again, he’d liked Christa better than Kallichore—which didn’t make much sense to him at all, considering they were the exact same person.
He typed out a quick response—“Sure. Be there in a little bit.”—before sliding his phone shut and hoisting himself off the couch, where he’d idly been flipping through some of Chris’s sports magazines (mostly for the muscular dudes, but also because he was actually trying to learn). “Hey, Pooh Bear~!” he called. “Crazy Christa wants me to meet her at the park! Do you want to come with me?”
Paris figured he might as well accept. He was trying to get along with her better, and he couldn’t do that if they never saw one another. Maybe he’d even be nice and pack a quick picnic lunch.

"Crazy Christa...?" Chris repeated bemusedly, pushing himself back from his desk so he could see out of the extra bedroom and into the living room where Paris was calling him from. "Ch- you mean Kallichore?" he asked in slight exasperation, shaking his head lightly in disapproval at Paris's adjective. "I really don't think she's that crazy... just... spirited..." Or something like that.
Regardless of craziness or not, she was their teammate, and he was more than willing to meet up with her. "I don't mind," he confirmed, sliding back to the desk to finish up an email to one of his classmates, before rising from the chair.
"It might be good to get together with the others, anyway... It's been too quiet, lately," he mumbled mostly to himself as he headed out into the kitchen to watch as Paris packed a basket of stuff. Not that he wanted stuff to happen, but... he didn't know what the 'enemy' was planning, and if they would be able to protect the city.
While Paris worked on food, Chris whistled for his dog, who came bounding down the stairs, her fluffy tail flopping back and forth behind her. Well, if they were going to a park, he was going to bring Annabel Lee. She needed the exercise, anyway.
Leash and shoes on (respectively), Chris grabbed both his and Paris's light spring jackets and lead the way out of the apartment and towards the park in question.

Her flu had been slow in going away, but Tallulah was finally feeling fully recovered. Christa's text was met with a whoop of excitement and an enthusiastic reply. Illness had turned her into a complete homebody, but the change of seasons had Tallulah itching for the great outdoors. She could even justify taking the afternoon off from homework because it was Christa and therefore, ostensibly, senshi business. (Even if it wasn't.)
She broke out her favorite pair of shorts to head to the park. Although some might think it was still slightly chilly for the look, Tallulah preferred shorts over any other kind of bottoms and thought the spring air and sunlight would do her good. She resented how pale her legs had become over the winter, even though pale for Tallulah was still decently tan.
It was a short walk to the park from her apartment, and Tallulah made the trip at a brisk pace. It took a bit of time to find Christa, as the girl hadn't been specific about her location, but once she did Tallulah wasted no time in plopping herself down on the bench beside her grey-haired friend.
"Come here often?" she asked brightly. "Long time no see. I've been sick. Did you get the psycho-flu, too?" It seemed like everyone she knew had gotten the psycho-flu, just about. That would certainly explain the lack of senshi activity as of late.

She was very glad someone got the text. Part of her regretted sending it in the first place, wondering if she'd been bothering her friends with a sudden bout of loneliness. No matter. As soon as Tallulah's teal hair came bounding into view, all regrets were forgotten. Christa gave her fellow Jovian a shy smile and she clapped the book she was reading shut. She wore a simple and thin beige sweater over a long and dark-colored skirt. "Psycho-flu? Don't I have that all the time?" she chuckled. It wasn't much like her to make jokes, but she was attempting to be less... uptight.
"I hope the illness didn't get to you too much. Don't know where it came from but it seems to be going away now. How are you feeling?" Christa would have reached out to touch Tallulah's forehead with the back of her hand but decided it was a breech of etiquette and kept her hand in check. The book lay forgotten next to her on the bench and she idly wondered if Paris was going to arrive later. The boy had to do his makeup and hair, after all.
The teen chewed her lower lip. "I sent an invite to Paris as well. I don't think you'd mind, would you? We haven't seen one another in a while. I hope that changes." Her voice drifted off into thought. How were the others doing? Pasiphae, Cyllene, Euanthe... She hoped all of them were still alright.

If Paris took his time getting to the park, it was only because he felt the need to be nice and pack a quick picnic lunch, not because of any superficial desire he might feel to look his best—though he couldn’t say there weren’t times in which that was the case.
As he assumed they would only be meeting up with Christa, however, he made less of an effort to look as flawless as he might have when going out on a nice date with Chris, and merely pulled on a pair of loose-fitted, slouching cowboy boots to finish off an outfit made up of little more than a long, white, short-sleeved and belted tunic and the inch or two of tight denim skirt that could be seen beneath it. What make-up he had on was light and natural and had been applied earlier that morning, and he’d thrown up his curly hair in the sort of ponytail he thought looked messily stylish.
With a small cooler and medium sized tote of hastily packed food slung over his shoulder, Paris followed Chris from his boyfriend’s apartment and, with Chris’s dog trotting merrily ahead on her leash, the two made their way to the park that had been indicated to them and set out in search of Christa.
They arrived some moments after Tallulah. Paris slowed his approach upon seeing another figure lounging on the bench beside the recognizable figure of Christa Calloway. The text invitation hadn’t mentioned any others, but then Paris knew Christa could have easily sent the same message to multiple people. He almost felt bad at the petty feeling of surprise he felt over the idea of Christa having other friends, but he had to admit she hadn’t given off the impression of being a very social being the one and only time they’d met as civilians, and as he couldn’t imagine she’d just randomly invite him on an outing with any of her normal friends—if she had any—he could only assume that she might have encouraged one of the other Jovians to join them.
“Hi,” he said as he and Chris drew closer, quickly glancing between the two girls and wondering if he should recognize both of them. “I dragged Chris along. I figured you wouldn’t mind. I was already at his place, so…”

Anna bound ahead as far as her leash would let her, bouncing happily when she realized that Chris and Paris were stopping to socialize and immediately went to investigate the two young women who were conversing on the bench. She wiggled around at their feet, her head only reaching to around their knees, but she was good and didn't jump on them, even though she was really super excited to see new people she'd never met before!
Chris recognized Christa immediately of course, since he'd seen her more recently than the other, but after a few moments he realized he'd met the other girl before, too.
"Tallulah...? Wow, I haven't seen you since last summer. Are you still lifeguarding?" he asked, curious about her connection to Christa. Were they just friends? Or had they run into each other there? "This is Paris," he added after a moment, not wanting his boyfriend to be the only one not introduced in the small group. He smiled softly in Christa's direction with a nod of greeting since Paris had already verbally done so.
He glanced over at Paris after another moment, already imagining the questions that would come out of the revelation that he somehow knew the girl with the dark teal hair. "Uh... we met once at the pool," he said with a shrug, not bothering to mention the fact that Tallulah had also invited herself on a date with him. He grinned at the memory of course, just because he thought it had been cute.
"How have you been, Christa? It's been too long..." They really needed to all get together soon, if just to see what the others were up to and if they needed help with anything, be it schoolwork, emotional support, or even just a patrol partner. At least that was what he'd like to do.

The dog came first, and Tallulah's expression lit up like a lamp when the little spitz made it clear that she wanted to be paid attention. Although she had always had cats growing up, she was a lover of almost all animals and was quick to reach down and excitedly offer a hand to be sniffed. "Hi," she gushed. "It's nice to meet you, too."
Noticing that the dog was attached to a leash, Tallulah looked up to see what human this little ball of fur and sunshine was attached to. She blushed momentarily, recognizing Chris. "Yeah," she said, forcing herself to maintain composure. "Lifeguarding. Teaching water safety. Swimming competitively for DCU. The works." She liked to keep busy, as if that wasn't apparent.
The fact that Chris and Paris apparently knew Christa left her confused. Why would Christa have invited Paris? Was this relevant somehow? Tallulah furrowed her brow and shot her grey-haired friend a sidelong glance. "I think you need to make introductions, maybe?" she suggested. "Like, is there some kind of context for this that I'm totally missing?"
Because Chris Gallo, although charming, was someone she had only met once - and Paris? Paris was a complete stranger as far as she could tell. Of course, unless they were senshi, in which case it was just a matter of figuring out which ones. Knowing Christa, Tallulah wouldn't have been surprised if they were.
She regarded the boys in front of her with the slightest air of suspicion, waiting for an explanation for their presence. Although she'd be obliging to spend time with them either way, she would have liked a bit of warning so that she could avoid making a fool of herself. (As in: how she had behaved last time she met Chris Gallo.)

"It's good to see you too, Chris, Paris."
Something that failed to strike her at first was the fact that perhaps not all of the Jovians had met in civilian form. She hadn't counted on Paris and Chris being together, but it all worked out for the better anyway. Introductions aside, Christa bent down to carefully scratch the top of the dog's head, a slight smile on her face. She truly was striving to be less serious all the time, but progress had to come in stages, right? To Chris, she nodded politely. "I've been well, I think, aside from the occasional school hiccup. Graduation is fast approaching..." She left it at that knowing both Paris and Chris would likely understand.
Tallulah though didn't seem to know Paris, which made things rather awkward. If they were going to function as a court, then meetings like this should be inevitable and encouraged as far as she was concerned. In a hushed tone (and with eyes on the lookout for intruders), the gray haired teen explained. "Europa, I'd like you to meet one Valhalla and one Ganymede." She gestured to each as they were introduced.
Now it all made sense.
"I often wonder how many of the people I know are someone else in disguise." She chuckled, idly wondering what Paris had squirreled away in the tote. She patted the seat next to her as invitation.

Firstly, Paris felt a mild jolt of irritation that Chris hadn’t felt the need to elaborate on the closeness of their relationship to one another, because even though it wasn’t all that important and anyone who saw them together could probably tell, he still sort of liked the idea of being called “Paris, my boyfriend.”
Secondly, he allowed himself to feel a hint of curiosity over the other girl’s—Tallulah’s?—reaction to seeing Chris, as well as his boyfriend’s apparent familiarity with her, because even though he wasn’t really the jealous type, it was true that he hadn’t met very many of Chris’s friendly acquaintances since they’d met and begun dating one another almost a full year ago.
Lastly… well, Paris didn’t really know how he felt when Christa introduced this girl as Europa, except maybe a little ashamed that he hadn’t made the effort to meet her like this before when he knew he should have. He shifted awkwardly from one foot to the other and swallowed down a nervous lump in his throat. He tried telling himself that there wasn’t anything to be nervous about—because it wasn’t like he didn’t know Europa as a senshi, and he’d definitely meant to meet under normal circumstances one day—but whatever part of himself his brain was speaking to didn’t seem to be listening.
There wasn’t anything in particular about Tallulah that caused it. Not that he could pick out, at least. She looked like any normal girl, and when he’d heard her speak to Chris she’d sounded friendly enough, but Paris could not quell the feeling that he was ridiculously underdressed for a face-to-face meeting with Sailor Europa’s civilian half, which seemed to him to deserve courtroom attire or his Sunday best—which didn’t even make much sense when he took the time to actually think about it, because she was in shorts herself (and it wasn't as if their respective fukus weren't revealing enough).
Even still, one of his hands reached to grab the hem of his short skirt and gave it a little tug. It might have slipped down his hips another inch if his a** didn’t get in the way. When that failed, he compulsively ran one of his hands down his skirt to make sure it actually covered everything it was supposed to.
“Oh…” was Paris’s lame response to the introductions. He struggled to find something more appropriate to say, but all that came out was, “I… it’s so… I mean, I’ve been meaning to… and… umm… it’s just that… well, this is… I… Christa didn’t say… not that… I mean… obviously it’s okay… I always wanted… umm…”
Eventually he just clamped his mouth shut and took the empty space on Christa’s other side, sliding both the tote and the small cooler off of his shoulder. “I brought food if anyone’s hungry,” he managed, like it was some sort of a peace offering. He felt like a total idiot, and averted his eyes only because he ran the risk of staring if he didn’t. “Just some things Chris had in the fridge. Fruit and sandwich stuff and some pasta salad...”

Annabel wiggled around, licking at the offered hands and leaning up against the legs of those who were giving her attention, her tail still flopping back and forth. She very much loved the attention and was definitely happy that they were stopping so she could get some from new people!
"Europa...?" Chris blinked in surprise, looking from Christa to Tallulah to Paris, who was now fidgeting and looking as though he were uncomfortable. Even still, Chris felt himself straighten up a little more, his arms crossing over his chest as Paris sat with the two girls. "Are you sure I'm not crashing anything...?" he wondered. While he tried to put no importance on rank, they were Eternals, and the invitation had gone to Paris, not Chris.
Still, he eyed Tallulah curiously now, wondering if he'd always known that she was somehow connected to them. He'd felt... something when they'd met, after all... some kind of familiarity that he chose to ignore, but now that he knew her identity he wondered how many more like her he knew. Just as Christa said... how many of their acquaintances were really just like them...? Civilian halves of more powerful superheros...
Or their 'enemies'...
"Our friends and relatives could very well be Negaverse officers, too... or..." he paused, glancing over to Tallulah again. She had family in the DMC... hopefully he hadn't said anything offensive or brought up too many negative thoughts. He'd just happened to make a comment on the darker side to them all being 'in disguise'. It wasn't something they should take for granted...
Ah, but he was turning a cheerful meeting into a depressing one!
Realizing that, he quickly moved to sit next to Paris on the end of the bench, getting comfortable by placing an arm around his boyfriend's shoulders and playfully tugging at one of the curls in his messy side-ponytail. His other hand still holding onto the leash, even if that wasn't really necessary with Annabel so content.
"Her name is Anna, by the way. Uh, Annabel Lee, but she really just responds to the 'Anna' part."

"Ohhhh," said Tallulah, offering the boys a friendly grin. Now everything made sense and she felt a little bit silly. Once Christa properly introduced them as Valhalla and Ganymede, she even thought she could see the resemblance. Yes. Paris's delicate features matched Ganymede's the more and more she thought about it, while Chris's impressive height seemed closer and closer to Valhalla's even as she watched him out of the corner of her eye.
"It's good to finally meet you both," she said, hopping primly to her feet and offering them each a handshake in turn. "Why are you stammering?" she added to Paris. "We're off the clock." Europa might have been a no-nonsense senshi, but Tallulah was here to have fun!
Turning her attention back to the dog bobbing around her feet, Tallulah gave Anna a vigorous scratching behind the ears. "Yes," she cooed, "You're absolutely beautiful and it's good to meet you, too. It's good to meet you too." Captain or not, all dignity was solidly out the door when a dog was involved.
"Great idea with the food," she chimed, looking up from a belly-rub. "It's a beautiful day - why don't we have a picnic?" And, she supposed, glancing at Christa, maybe they would eventually have to talk shop. Now that everyone was over the flu it was high time for a proper Jovian meeting to happen.

Christa purposefully ignored Chris' comment about friends and relatives being the enemy in disguise. She considered it a blessing to have Serpentarius, close friend and cousin, still on the side of good. She could understand that unique heartbreak, losing a loved one from one side of the war to the other. But they weren't here to discuss that. She nodded quietly to herself for a moment before looking up at them again. Right now, they were all human. All students, workers, aspiring careerpeople. Sometimes she felt completely alien when not in fuku and she sought to change that, little by little. It was a slow process.
Getting up from the bench, she knelt by Abba and scratched beneath the dog's chin. "A picnic sounds wonderful. I don't have a blanket on me, but there's a bench right over there shaded by those trees." She pointed, and not more than 20 yards was a wooden bench large enough for the four of them and then some, with ample room to move and spread out. The sun was shining but a lovely oak tree provided both warmth and shade, filtering out most of the direct sunlight with broad leaves. There were some children off playing in the distance, supervised by parents. They shouldn't be a bother.
She stood, picking up her book, House of Leaves, and clutching it to her chest. "I know it may seem sudden, but thank you. All of you. I... can't explain how much this means to me." The grey haired teen didn't catch how awkward her text to them sounded, but since when was Christa not awkward? Being social was a whole new world for her.

Paris willed the flush in his cheeks away, swallowing again and managing a smile when a little bit of the sudden nervousness settled. This should be easier than meeting as senshi, he told himself. He was much more confident in himself like this. His previous encounter with Christa had even gone rather peacefully; adding another person to the mix, especially someone he got along with so well as a senshi, shouldn’t be a problem at all.
He stood with the food again, slinging both tote and cooler back onto his shoulder to carry them as they made way for the bench Christa had pointed out. He glanced at the two girls again and was pleased he didn’t stutter more as he spoke.
“You don’t have to thank us,” he told Christa. “I mean, it’s what frie— er…”
Were they friends? He considered Europa his friend, so he supposed that should extend to Tallulah as well, and Christa… well, he was getting used to her, and they were getting along better, and she was really much more tolerable this way. It was sort of sweet that she seemed more self-conscious as a civilian, though he wasn’t about to advertise that thought lest she think he’d grown fond of her or something.
“Uh… it’s what people who know each other and who work together are supposed to do. You know, get together and do stuff or… whatever. Chris and I need to get out more anyway. We spend too much time on our own.”
He wondered if that was healthy but decided this wasn’t really the time to think about it. They had a valid excuse: they led strange lives.
“Besides, it’s been a while, so… we should probably all keep in touch more. I see you guys the most. And Pasiphae. Other than that, though…”

Chris shook his head lightly at Christa's thanks, offering her a small smile and a shake of his head. "Any time... Not that I have much room to say anything since I'm crashing this party," he pointed out, laughing softly as he followed Paris towards the bench in question. He sat on the ground and pulled Anna into his lap to rub her belly, letting Paris, Christa, and Tallulah take the bench if they wanted.
"Paris, do you need any help?" he asked, looking up at him from where he sat on the ground. Of course, Paris pointing out that they spent to much of their time on their own had him frowning, although it looked more like a pout. He didn't think they spent too much time on their own. They were off doing their own thing most of the time, anyway. It wasn't like they'd secluded themselves to the apartment.
"If you wanted to do other things, you could have just said so," he mumbled under his breath. He had no problem going out and doing things if Paris wanted to go out and do things. He said it like he forced them to do nothing all day... except to rub his feet and make him sandwiches...
Not that he was really bothered by it, but now that he knew he was with two other members of the Jovians, he couldn't help but feel a little self conscious.
Anna, on the other hand, loved the attention!
