Panting a bit under the midday's sun, Frozenheart sniffed the air inquisitively. Trying his hardest to get a sense of where he was, though he was having no luck. He sighed heavily, releasing his anger and disappointment with the air. It seemed to be a habit of his to get lost like this, a very bad habit. He knew Lightfoot wouldn't be happy when she found out about it. Or perhaps she would just laugh it off, and tell him old habits never died? He really had no idea, she was unpredictable in that way, and aside from his undying devotion to her that was what attracted him to her.
Looking around his surroundings, nothing. A tree over towards the end of his sight, and the occasional bush here or there, but nothing that indicated home. Hopeless, that was what he was.

She wished she had stayed at her little piece of Heaven a little longer. But she had decided to go when an oncoming storm was blowing ever. Nothing like a thunderstorm to turn your Heaven into somewhere that had to be feared. It reminded her all too much of home, and she had taken off again.
She hated storms. They scared her, and reminded her of her brother.. and the home they had shared. She was going to be forced to marry him, as part of the 'keeping the blood pure.' Such was the way of her old pride, and she had managed to escape the lifestyle..
However not without a price, as he was now tracking her down.. and if he found her she was afraid of what would happen.. So today she was enjoying the sunshine, her e yes constantly aware, but she tried to let herself be calm, and enjoy her day.

A change in nature's natural flow is what first caught his attention. Instead of a swift, sweet breeze, he could hear the crunching of the grass. Someone was here, but who? Swiftly, Frozenheat hid himself behind on of the plentiful bushes, his ears alert to even the slightest bit of change. But he didn't need them - his eye sight was perfect.
He was her coming before she likely even noticed his scent. A female, black with the pattern of the dusk on her coat. Mesmerizing, yet possibly quite dangerous. He wasn't safe here, but she was closing in on him by the second. He began to hyperventilate, his nerves on edge and his whole body shaking. He was a good fighter, but nothing that would be able to combat a lion!
Closer, she was coming closer. His breaths became more erratic and he had fleeting thoughts of running as fast as he could. But that was his fault, he was not a good runner, nothing like Lightfoot. Instead he cowered into his bush, hoping the lion would just walk right on past, but the shaking bush he was hiding in might have other plans.

There was hardly an aggressive bone in the female's body. That was likely why she had continued to run instead of seeking out her brother to kill him herself. She knew he deserved to live, no matter how twisted of a mind he had.. He just didn't acknowledge that she deserved the same things.. and in his mind, she didn't.
She likely would have wandered right past the bush, but it was shaking a good deal and the leaves made enough noise to bring her to question them. She stopped in front of the bushes, and arched an eyebrow. They continued to shake, and though she saw nothing, the longer she stood the stronger the scent of the wild dog came to her nose.
"Hello?" She asked warmly, curious.

He could see her paws as they edged up close to his bush and he knew he was a goner. And as OK as he was with his life, he wasn't prepared to leave just yet. He would fight for his life, in any way he could, even if it was embarrassing. But, her soft voice broke through his resolve, and his quivering slowed. She didn't sound at all violent, but he couldn't let his guard down. But then - if she were in need of a good meal, wouldn't she have taken him down by now? This flimsy bush was nothing in the way of a defense.
Still slightly quivering, but feeling a bit safer by way of the female's soft voice, the male barked out a small greeting in return. "H-Hi...please don't eat me, i'm all muscle and I hear that doesn't make a good meal."

She was caught off guard by the bark, even if she had been waiting for it. She didn't think it would sound so..terrified. She looked at herself, seeing if she did look mean somehow..But she didn't, or at least not her standards of terrifying.
"I don't plan on eating you, silly. I have had my fill, and I'm not one for a canine variety." She said warmly, and raised her paw to move the bushes out of the way.
"There you are." She said with a smile once the smaller animal came into sight.

While comforting, her words were simply that - words. There was no true way to tell if she were one hundred percent telling the truth, but she had him cornered. It was probably best if he trusted her - if only slightly. As the leaves parted around him, and he was first encountered with the female's face, he put on a sheepish grin. His canines glistening as he tried to remain non threatening.
"W-Well if that's the case, I guess i'm relieved." He smiled his sheepish smile once more and cautiously stepped out from within the bush. Shaking his extra leaves from his fur as he did so. "But if you aren't here to eat me.... Why are you here? He asked intently, his face tilted sideways as if to show his genuine curiosity.

She smiled as he did, and noted that he was still not his full adult yet. He was a sweet looking wild dog, and she found her heart melting at the sight of him afraid. So she chuckled and shook her head.
"Come now, isn't that a question I should ask the WIld Dog in the bush?" She asked, arching an eyebrow and waiting for him to respond. She would show him she wasn't planning on harming him..but the idea of the dog in the bush was pretty funny.

Well she had him there, and she likely knew it.
"Yeah, I guess that makes sense." He commented looking over the lioness once more, debating whether it was safe to confide in her. In the end, he decided it couldn't hurt. She might be willing to help. "I was in the bush to hide from you, I- I know the roguelands can be a pretty scary place sometimes. Especially for someone who isn't very skilled in fighting... Like me.." Frozenheart nodded silently, as though agreeing with himself in general. "But the real reason i'm out here in the first place, is that I got lost. I'm not really sure where I am right now, so i'm just kinda walking in circles!"
Frozenheart laughed slightly at his own pitiful situation before looking to the female for any possible comments she might have to give him.

She frowned when he mentioned he was lost. She wasn't sure where she was either, so she wasn't going to be of any help to him. She knew that already. But she supposed if anything, she could be his company for a short time.
"Yes, the rogue lands can be quite dangerous." She knew that all too well, with the idea of running from her brother. "But it isn't all dangerous.. I wish I could help you, young one. But I'm afraid I have no idea where I am either." She said softly.

With her words, he felt his heart drop a bit in his chest. It was really disheartening to know that neither of these two knew exactly where they were. But surely, if he continued he would find his path? He could only hope as much.
"Oh ... I see..." Frozenheart's head fell low as he tried to figure out his next step. As he stood there, he realized perhaps his answer was standing right in front of him.
"What if - we traveled together?" He yipped happily, bouncing in his steps. "I promise, I won't be a burden, and i'll even do any work that needs to be done. A-And i'll be out of your hair at the first sight of home!" Franctic for her acceptance, he quickly added in his final comment. "W-We could keep each other company! Two is always better than one !" Buffy_the_Bloody We should be able to end this one in one more post 3nodding If you need another RP after this one, let me know, I have another lion I could throw your way ^^

She watched his face fall, and the tender heart she carried made her frown too. She didn't want to leave the poor guy behind. Though she knew her travels were far too dangerous for her to stay indefinitely. She had to think of something..
It took her a moment, but she smiled. "I suppose you could come along until you find somewhere you are comfortable with. But I'm afraid it is a touch dangerous to travel with me.. and I don't want you to get hurt. So we will find someplace close, but at least you will have company." She said. She hoped that would ease him, she just wanted the scared look to go away.
"By the way, I am Vitania."Depawsit Okay! Your post can finish it up. She actually needs three more, so help would be great. LOL.

Frozenheart listened intently to her words, his intentions had obviously gotten a bit lost in translation, but it didn't matter. She had agreed, and he yipped happily at the prospect.
"I promise I won't stay long, i'll just be your sidekick until things look familiar again!" A small shiver went up his spine at the thought of a dangerous journey. "Well if you ever need a bodyguard I know a guy..." He winked slyly and nodded. "Oh! I was born Riitho! But among my pack I am known as Frozenheart! It's very nice to meet you Vitania."
