Okay first of sorry, I know there are probably 10 million Hunger Games related threads and I could have just thrown this is in one of them probably, but...
To start have any of you ever been like really hung up on a book? Maybe that's not the best way to describe it. More like your emotions are consumed by it? I'm not sure exactly why, I've never felt like this after reading a book, but I just can't get over them and move on with what's happening in my life...
Over the past four days I have finally gotten around to reading the three books (and sacrificing 90% of my sleep to do so) and maybe it's just the need to talk about somethings that happened with someone...
I gotta honestly say, I don't like Katniss that much. I mean I like her a lot more at the end, or maybe just in the second book, but in the first book I think there was only one or two points in which I felt like I could relate to her in anyway and become that character. Usually for me that's a pretty big turn off to a book and I'd stop reading, but I really liked Peeta, and my friends want to see the movie, which I said not until I read the books!
I really don't like the end of the third book, I mean the epilogue is okay. Kind of creepy and vague, though the last few chapters in general are pretty vague so I guess that keeps the trend up. I'm really glad the ended up together, but I feel there were a lot of loose ends and missing explanations. The last chapter could have easily been longer and better.
I feel like writing about it is just raising more questions in my mind when I'm trying to get away from it...
So what do you think? Am I crazy letting myself get all hung up in this book?
I wonder if I would have liked it more if it was told from Peeta's point of view....
