⋆ History :: Childhood | Velocity grew up in a small family, her only other sibling being a younger sister. Her parents were everything that a child could ever want and expect. While her mother was a nurturing soft woman, her father was a hardworking and loyal man. While she was outgoing and daring, her sister was shy and sweet. Vel was always getting herself into trouble due to her curiousness as a child and was never afraid to voice her opinions. This scared her parents and they've constantly had to scold her when she had dangerous opinions about the Capitol. She finally began understanding the risk of saying negative things about the Capitol and the President himself and kept her opinions to herself for fear that her family would be punished. Unfortunately, she didn't have the support of both parents for as long as she would've liked. At age ten, she lost her father to an accident in the plant when a scrap piece of metal buried itself inside his chest when a machine malfunctioned. He died on the spot, and her family was never really able to get over the tragedy, but they've done their best to move on.
Adolescence | Throughout her teenage years, Velocity found solace in tinkering around with her fathers old tools, constantly building new things. She became so good at it that she was easily able to create small explosives, which her mother disapproved of greatly, but she hardly ever set them off and when she did, it was out in the forest. Sadly, she could never really stick around to see what the damage was, because peacekeepers from all over the district would come running towards the sound. When she was old enough to work, she went into the power plant to broaden her mind with more knowledge of how to build new and innovative things. Both her and her younger sister were always playing games that involved some sort of strategics, and Velocity always found herself winning them. The hunger games came and went year after year, and just when she had thought she was safe, her name was called when she had just turned eighteen. The family, of course, was horrified by this, but Velocity was a smart girl, and managed to take the victory for herself in the end. She had used the strategics and diversions, as well as setting up a few explosive traps here and there. During the feast she had been lucky enough to receive the supplies for building any number of things, and had won by rigging the entire camp of the remaining tributes, all of whom were careers. After she had lit the trap up, minutes later, their campsite in the forest was completely consumed with flames. Three cannon shots later, and she was declared as the single victor of that year.
Adulthood | After the games were over, her and her family were moved into the victor's village where they were given a beautiful home and an abundance of wealth to live off from. Velocity had a difficult time with dealing with memories of those who had died in the arena. Her trauma was quickly soothed by a man she met a few months after the games. They were married soon after that, only to discover that she was pregnant with her first child, Riella. She loves her child more than anything and would do anything to ensure that she is safe and loved. Months before the 124th hunger games began, she found out that she was pregnant once more, and is eagerly awaiting the birth of her new child.
