The Observation Point

General Setting:
The Observation Point is the highest point of the entire Clan structures, seated at the very tip of the highest tree. The climb up is precarious, and can only be managed for the flightless on a single, swaying ladder. Even then, the flight up is covered in thick and dangerously sharp branches, spears, and other weapons, just to emphasize facing the obstacles. In fact, it is so difficult to make it up, that one climbing must be aware of all obstacles, and overcome them before reaching the top.

OOC: EVENT ROLLS AND PROMPT MECHANICS:

- When your student has arrived in this setting, you can CHOOSE to roll a 100-sided dice at any point in time. They are NOT at the observation point top yet, they need to roll to get there. You can only do this twice per RP you make. Match your dice roll to the results below for a prompt/ small reaction that your student may discover. RP out results accordingly.

1-20: While climbing upwards with the ladder, as you do not want to brave the spears, you look down. The ground is so very far down. you begin to loose your nerve a bit, and remain stuck.
21 - 40: The ladder begins to sway and shake precariously, as suddenly a gust of wind billows to one side, causing anyone airborne to also grab a hold onto that ladder for dear life. You can practically see your life flashing before your eyes (again) as you almost get impaled by a sharp spear.
41 - 60: You finally manage to pass the first hurdle of spears, but nearly get pin-cushioned again as a barrage of arrows appear out of nowhere. Really now?
61 - 80: You see a lone clan member fly upwards towards the observation point, dodging all obstacles effortlessly. Sure, they make it look easy...
81- 100: You finally reach the top! At the very top, you can see a large group of War clan members filing out, heavily armed and equipped. They seem to be shouting loudly to each other as well, excitedly as they exit to the portal room. (see below for horsemen point prompt)
- Horsemen point prompt! You also see something glint next to you, but is it just a trick of the light? Roll a 6-sided dice. If odd you obtain one horsemen point! You can only redeem a max of two from all prompt prps/orps your student is in per OOC 24 hours. You can redeem these here and here!

Danny needed some alone time. She wasn't particularly introspective, nor was she anti-social. Quite the opposite really. She felt uncomfortable in quiet places and places without people. She liked throwing herself into crowds just to feel the presence of tons of people around her. Sitting still, being quiet, she was bad at all of it.

YET, she needed some alone time. So far she'd done nothing but cling to Rikki's side, afraid of ... well everything. Afraid of the brusque Amazonian-esque people. Afraid of the way the island was all but deserted, and everything was placed above the ground. Afraid of all the challenging tasks and rough work outs laid out by the horsemen.

So she wanted to somehow ... prove she could do things alone. She'd left Rikki to sleep in the open canopy. As much as she wanted to just curl up with him, she wasn't tired. Quite the opposite actually- she had so much energy she felt like she was going to burst at any moment. Like her FEAR was going to unravel right then and there.

Thus she was out in the forest, walking around and just exploring the area in general. So it came to be that she found a tower of a tree, with a tiny ladder on it. All it took was watching a few students attempting to climb it, and she was captured. "So I can just go up?" she asked one of the guards.

They smiled at her like she was a child, but they nodded. No doubt they were thinking "how could a puny little student make it to the top," but Danny didn't seem to mind. She already had her hand on the rungs.

Danny proved herself rather nimble, actually. Just like when she'd been on the obstacle course with Roch. She dodged a spear here. Climbed a little faster there. At one point the ladder actually gave out, and she had to lunge for the next couple rungs.

Her mind began drifting as she climbed higher. The higher she got, the further her thoughts took her. At first it was simple things, like "what if I don't make it? What if I fall?" Simple worries about the ascent she was attempting.

Then it went other places. Rikki's cute smile when he got all excited back at the treehouses. Roch's hilarious expression when he got caught. Deeper things still. What was her purpose on this island. What were they doing here, really. Wasn't she supposed to have taken notes on the island, cultural exchange and all? Danny was resting on a rung and took a moment to look around. So far all she'd see was a lot of fighting and a lot of feathers, not much else. How could she report that back? She was getting sort of frantic. She might return home and find that she had nothing to benefit her school.

Now she was thinking about the white coats. The hunters could be here on the island now. Just waiting to kill her. She was freaking out, her breath was growing sharper. Why did everything about this island make her freak out and think about the hunters.

Overall, she was feeling pretty damn proud of herself when she got to the top.

She began cheering as she reached the top, completely panting. Her reward was a pair of horsemen warriors, fully armed, talking animatedly about the portal.

It didn't really matter though. She was just inwardly happy that she had FINALLY done something for herself. Take that!

Danny took a moment to sit and dangle her feet off the edge, and really take in her surroundings. The island was stunning from up here- even Danny took a moment to admire the view. You could see their houses, and the portal room. Little wings flapping everywhere.

She looked down, wondering how the others were doing. Rikki was undoubtedly still sleeping. Maybe the wonder and excitement of the island overtook him, but somehow Danny doubted it. Was Roch still struggling on the ropes course? Was Moure doing okay with his arm, wherever he was? What about Demi, was he still barking along happily?

The sun blinded her for a moment, and she looked down at the platform. Wedged between the boards was another one of those shiny circular objects. Danny smiled and tucked it in her pocket. Sweet!

Then she began the descent downwards.

Danny stared at the ladder once more, waiting in line. She felt rather confident after making it up the first time, and going up a second time seemed like a walk in the park now.

She watched a horsemen fly up towards the top, effortlessly gliding through the air. Jack they made it look so easy!

Eventually they called her up and she began climbing. She was cautious the first time, but making it to the top had made her lazy. She slipped nearly immediately and fell to the ground. Danny grumbled and decided maybe it was time to go somewhere else.
