[[ Roll mechanics]] “Well isn’t this dandy.” The slimer was stuck. His fingers held the ladder rung tightly. His body held the ladder tighter. He wished he could use his natural abilities and shapeshift himself some kind of wings just to glide away from the ladder, or even extra arms just so he can hold on to his life. Sadly, the slimer wasn’t even far up the ladder. But with a keen eye on crafting and a little on engineering, he felt that the ladder wasn’t the safest structure on the Isle of War, from what he has seen. Maybe it’s as if the clansmen didn’t want anyone to be up there except for those who are able to fly up there. But that wasn’t even close to the thoughts occurring inside the ghost’s mind. He could maybe survive falling, but it was those sharp pointy spears and other sharp weapon that could mangle him in many ways were the things he feared. Even with his skill in first aid, and even his current travelling companion, Circe, it wasn’t going to be enough to put his limbs back together. The slimer pretzeled the ladder as he looked back down at Circe, who was actually just about twelve feet from his current location. He didn’t even have to say anything, but smiled worriedly. “Uh, I think you’ll have to climb over me to reach the top.”

The ghoul only shook her head at the ghost boil. Despite being a slimer who could probably form his body in a way that if he was to fall he wouldn't get hurt he still seemed to fear the ladder. She on the other hand was beyond excited to get to the top of the tree and see the island from the new perspective. "There's nothing to worry about." Circe said with a reassuring voice as she looked up at the boil. And with that she concluded that it was time to make her way up the ladder. Maybe if she was able to make it up there without any issue she could inspire the boil to do the same. Her chest flooded with emotions at this one thought. She rubbed her hands together a couple times before she began to climb her way up the ladder. Within a few moments she was just below the boil and unsure just how exactly she would get around him. Then with a small shrug she pushed her body out so that she could literally climb over him. Which she did. For a brief moment it was as if she was hugging him, then she wasn't. Now she was above him and making her way up to the observation tower. Circe took small glances down at the ground by looking to the side and a grin could only make it's way to her lips. "This is amazing!" She exclaimed as she finally reached the end of the ladder.
Gently Circe pulled herself off of the ladder and onto the observation tower flower. It was probably very clear to the boil that she had temporarily forgotten him as she made her way to the side end of the observation hut. "Oh wow." Circe said, her eyes wide as they absorbed the scenery before her. She looked in each direction and as far as she could out, as if she could see the entire Isle just by will power alone. Off in the distance she saw the War members in heavy armor making their way through the portal. What were they doing so heavily dressed? There wasn't anything for them to fight like that. Was there? That small detail made her feel very small and utterly useless. Thankfully she was here, ready and willing to be trained in the art of combat. Maybe if she became a better fighter she would one day be able to go through that portal with them and find out what it was they were fighting.
"Are you coming up Grelo?" Circe asked as she made her way over to where the ladder was and peered down at the boil.

"Are you coming up?" Circe asked in a enticing voice as she laid down on the floor of the Observation hut, propped up on her elbows with her legs kicking behind her. Hopefully it would encourage him further that he could make it up here. Just as she was about to say something else to him something shiny caught her peripheral. Turning her head curiously she noticed that there was some kind of shiny rock with a red design on it. "What is this?" She asked quietly as she picked it up. It was a Four Clans Point! "Look what I got!" Circe said as she waved it in the view of the boil. Surely this would be enough encouragement for him to conquer his fear.

El Greco still hung tightly and close to the ladder. He was like green moss to the brown wooden ladder. He wasn’t growing on it, but if he might as well plant some kind of roots on it because he wasn’t going anywhere. “I want to,” he cried as he looked up at the ghoul, “But I, uh, can’t!” His eyes then closed. His thoughts of the spears and other weapons strewn around the tree were cutting. He could almost feel every edge and every point if he fell on them. He imagined them cutting his limbs, puncturing his body, and other visions of bodily harm. “Yeah, okay,” he answered as he lifted his chin upwards with his eyes still closed. “I’ll take a look at it later.”

Gently the ghoul put back down the point and huffed a bit. How was she going to get him up here? Then the thought occurred to her that she would just give him what she was planning on giving him at the end of the whole Horsemen thing. "If you come up I'll tell you what it is I'm going to give you once the two weeks are up." Circe said hoping to entice him a bit. Then she decided to add one more tidbit of information just in case he wasn't swayed by it. "It's might have to do with me giving you sugar." She said with a hint of flirtation in her voice when she said sugar.

The slit of his eyes thinned, and his brows furrowed as he looked up at her. Sugar? What sugar? I hope it’s donuts. The slimer gathered up all his courage, and slowly ascended. His fingers unfurled, and slowly took the next rung, then the other, and then the next. He was still gripping tightly to each one as he made his way up the ladder. His feet would have gripped them too if it could. His body was almost sliding up against it. He looked more like a gecko now, with short limbs because he kept everything as close to him as possible. He looked at all the spears and sharp little things sticking out, again he imagined all the horrible things that could happen. He shuddered, and he halted. The images involved the usual impalement and loss of limbs, and a lot of blood- though the slimer may not have any. He saw other horseman of War flying to the point with ease, and wished he could grow wings, but even if he could, he couldn’t fly because he didn’t know the mechanics of it all. “Circe, I think I’m going down.” He frowned at himself for his cowardice.

Circe mimicked his frown just a bit as she looked at the boil. He was so close to the top. Yet he was to afraid to climb further. She had to admit she was a tad bit proud of him for at least continuing even though he was afraid.
"I'll go back down to." She said, giving him a warm smile to reassure him that it was okay that he hadn't made it up to the top like she had.
With that, the ghoul climbed back onto the ladder and made her way down to where the boil was. She looked down the couple inches from her position to his. "Do you want to lead the way?" Circe asked. "We could try something else, if you want to hangout with me that is." She added, wondering what his answer might be. It seemed like they were together a lot. Which, in her opinion she actually quite enjoyed being around him all the time. Maybe it was mainly due to those feelings that kept creeping up in her chest. She wasn't sure.

El Greco the gecko wasn’t the best climber, but if it was leaving the petrifying ladder, then he did it with zeal and skill. Or what he thought he actually did, but he did go down the ladder pretty quickly. The slimer was slipping down the ladder, slipping a step, missing a hold on some with his hands, and was basically falling in a really awkward fashion as he was able to actually catch and hold the ladder. “Oomph,” he grimaced as he would get a hold of the ladder. He would develop callouses by now if he actually had skin. “I tried leading the way.” The ghost took the last couple of steps slowly. “But I think its your turn to lead the way, maybe somewhere where I can actually get to.” He grinned, though his eyes, still open showed the lack of sincerity in it.

When they reached the bottom she smiled and patted his shoulder. "Don't worry about it. Maybe tomorrow I'll be the one afraid to go up there." Circe told him even though that seemed like an impossible thing. Then again, who knew. Maybe she really would suddenly become afraid of heights or just this one in particular. She could some reasons why the boil would be afraid to climb up, but he was a slimer. Then it hit her. Here he couldn't shift at all. Which means if he fell he would have to just land as is and not shift into anything that might aid him. Circe frowned once more. She really was inconsiderate of others.
"Okay! Let's go!" Circe said as she began to lead them away from the observation point. There was still a hint of her realization in her voice.
