Mitzi was still rattled from her almost-fall on the ladder earlier. She knew she'd have to go back, to get to the top, if only to conquer her fear, but right now...

Right now something else would be so much better. But preferably something with Roch; just having him there had actually helped her a lot in calming down. And given that anywhere she went was going to be up high, it might as well be something that required her to do something, because that at least would keep her distracted, and she really didn't want to freak out again around the punk boil. Thanks, but twice today was enough already.

Wandering around with Whisper earlier, she had seen what looked like an obstacle course. The nets underneath actually would help a lot - they were close enough underneath that if she focused on them, instead of the ground, she'd probably be all right. "Hey Roch, there's an obstacle course not too far from here, if you'd be interested in trying it out?" She sounded distinctly hopeful - this was something she was pretty sure she could handle.

Mitzi started out on the nets, and was actually feeling fairly confident. She could handle this well. She grinned over at Roch - see, there were things she could do here! - and then kept moving on, carefully avoiding the traps.

At the end of the first set of nets, she found herself on a rickety bridge. As she started onto it, it was swaying dangerously, and for a moment she felt her heart race. But a glance below to the nets actually calmed her down. There simply wasn't that far to fall regardless. She clung to the railings and kept making her way forwards, and had almost made it to the other side when she heard an ominous sound. She tried to make a dash for the other side... but didn't quite make it in time.

She found herself moments later bouncing in the net below, staring up at the treetops. Her heart was pounding, but overall... that wasn't so bad. She was right, this was something she could do.

By the time she got herself back up the course, Roch had clearly gotten himself into trouble as well. It looked like he was stuck; as long as she didn't trigger any traps on her way there, she could actually help him out.

There were one or two close calls on her way over, and by the time she reached the boil he'd pulled himself free. "If you'd waited a bit, I could have helped," she pointed out as she clung somewhat precariously to her handhold.

She wouldn't be able to stay still for long, but she did want to make sure he was all right before continuing on.

Riley's last stop for the evening was the open obstacles. This particular environment had her blood pumping before she'd even stepped one foot inside, so that when she began her run, she was already vibrating with excitement. She climbed up the canopy nets, her nimble fingers grasping them easily, but if she were to be honest, she was cheating. Nets were easy to climb when you were technically floating. Still, it looked like she was climbing, and that was all that mattered. Once more, spears were flung at her, and she was starting to consider this normal procedure here in the Isle of War. If she had a moment to stop and consider it, she would muse over how funny it would be if a spar partner attempted to skewer her with a spear through the stomach, only to have it fly through without pause. But she had no time to think of such amusing things.

Her feet hit the solid ground, and she was off in a heartbeat, pulsing through the traps without pause, and hearing them snap shut behind her. Speed was going to get her far in this course..

But not far enough.

The rickety bridge wouldn't let her cheat. She had to walk it without any help from her wings, and soon enough the bridge flipped over, sending her flying down into the net below her. She surged upward, ready for another chance, and..

With Roch going ahead of her, Mitzi actually got a good chance to see many of the traps before she reached them. It made it a lot easier, actually. When she reached the bridges this time, she moved more quickly along the one she chose, knowing how rickety they were. She'd fallen once, and been fine, and that helped as well.

As she reached the platform that Roch was waiting at, she couldn't help grinning. She'd made it! The fact that this was just the start of a larger course didn't even phase her.

Now that she was past the course, and more importantly past the nets that would catch her if she fell, the ghoul was starting to get a bit uncomfortable again. Their current platform did not offer her that protection, so she stayed near the center, and her eyes tended to stay on the actual platform. So something on the ground caught her eye, and she leaned down to pick it up.

She paused for a moment, remembering what had happened the last time she had grabbed something weird off the ground, but that seemed unlikely to happen here. So she grabbed the odd stone and slipped it into the one place she really had for keeping small objects.

This is Mitzi. Where else do you think she keeps things?

Before the height could get to bothering her too much, she asked, "Hey Roch, so... what to next?"

Riley, still bouncing as she lay prone on the net, turned her angered eyes away from the bridge and focused on Roch instead. She could have floated up, but at the risk of being knocked back down again.. she took a hit to her ego.

Why, I would love that, actually.

Savor the moment, it will never happen again.

Riley took hold of Roch's hand, and pulled herself up, using only minimal force to make her weightless as she allowed him to bring her up to her feet. When she looked down at his pants, her expression turned wry, and she quickly started to move off of the bridge and onto solid land before even attempting a comment.

But once she was safe, all bets were off.

Roch, these people appreciate a toned, well built body. Perhaps they are trying to give you a hint. You should consider investing in some of their attire, that will leave your legs free - if nothing else, I am certain the ladies of the clan would appreciate the show.
