TRAINING FIELDS:

As your student walks along the various charted districts, they notice several large areas with signs marked on them: training fields. Each one seems to have a certain set of instructions of how to pass them, but promises a rather impressive boost to the ego for anyone who dares to surpass the challenge.

OOC

[ HOW TO PLAY: ]

- Your students can now participate in the TRAINING FIELD EXERCISES.
- EACH DAY (once every 24 hours), your student can choose one of the training field exercises (as seen from the post below) and try it out! You will need to create a NEW THREAD for it in this subforum titled [TRAINING] [PRP] NAME HERE
- You can participate in this SOLO or IN A GROUP WITH OTHERS. IN A GROUP still follows the SAME MECHANICS as SOLO, but you can competitively rp and gloat with ICly with other characters as you wish.
- When 24 hours have passed you can REUSE YOUR SOLO/GROUP THREAD to post AGAIN for the next day. Try not to make new threads if possible. If your GROUP people are MIA in a GROUP THREAD, it is okay, you can just roll on your own, that is fine too.

DAY 1: KETTIL TRIES TO MEDITATE

Kettil almost passed it up when he first saw word 'Meditation' but Endzela then started in on him about how he didn't want to because he wasn't disciplined enough and because he was just too scared to sit still and do nothing for moments at a time. After a bit of a tiff between Reaper and Owl he stomped his way over to a cubicle in the least quiet frame of mind ever plopped down and then closed his eyes.

"...You'll probably give up in a few minutes," Endzela teased him smugly.

He tried to ignore her as best he could, "All I hear and feel is hot wind blowing against my face," he mumbled lowly at her in retort. If she wanted to tease him then she best get ready to be snarked at.

He'd show Endzela who could and could not meditate! He would show her good. Kettil settled and Endzela jumped off to the side and stood next to him watching her Reaper with the most amusement she'd had in a while. If only she could tell Lark at how much she had pushed the boil's buttons no doubt she would crow with laughter and be very proud of the Owl for keeping the proud boil in line while Lark was away.

Kettil for now took deep cleansing breaths and started to empty his mind (not that hard to do when you're a Kettil). Soon there was nothing but him and ... He felt so light. So happy. Very peaceful and content. Not even a smart mouthed Owl could bring him down!

Not even a little bit...

All was good in the world of Kettil. The land of meditation was kind to him wonderfully kind at least until he started to think about ... Lark. It started out small: wishing he could see her. Then he wondered if she was alright without him by her side to help her deal with things back home. The thought then began to wrestle with one thing that gave him the most concern was she eating enough?

She ate like a bird. Kettil was convinced almost constantly that she never ate enough to fuel her slender frame. If he had it his way he'd simply feed all the food to her bit by bit just until he was content that she had enough but she wasn't here where he could keep an eye on her and make sure and...

A hand on his shoulder startled him a bit as he snapped 'awake' staring up at the horsewoman curiously the way she smiled and nudged at him it meant he had to leave. Picking up his familiar his brow furrowed in concern. Had he done something wrong? When he turned to gaze at the horsewoman of Death she was already gone and everything about how he was escorted out showed that he was done for the day whether he liked it or not.

Pouting a bit he turned his head toward the Owl now cradled in his arms, "Told you I could do it," he stuck his tongue out at Endzela and she only giggled. She had no doubts, Kettil could do anything if you got his competitive spirit burning.

DAY 2: KETTIL TRIES SPELUNKING

Kettil stood in the cavernous room for a long moment eyes trying to adjust to the darkness as Endzela peered around with very little issue to get a good feel of what is happening around them. This seemed like ... a wholly uninteresting place and she was about to say something but suddenly her Reaper moved forward causing her to grip more tightly onto his shoulder with his talons.

Sometimes she wished he gave more warning.

The boil was drawn forward having felt that he had a choice between any of the little openings he spied after a moment but he could have sworn he saw a green glint amongst them. The green reminded him of the tree tops at home, the flash of Lark's eyes when her moods shifted, of grass that he laid upon when he took Endzela out for flights. Green came with good things.

Soon he saw what it was staring down at the Emerald necklace without knowing how or why he picked it up and put it on when he turned there were five expectant faces staring up at him. Scarelings? In this place?

"You shouldn't be here it could be dangerous," Kettil said with concern in his tone but they each just giggled waving toward him and then traipsing off toward the center of the room and suddenly he found himself unable to move or talk as he witnessed what seemed to be the very shadows starting to move toward the children...

EMERALD NECKLACE SAGA

Kettil was forced to watch as the scarelings played and had a good time, even Endzela seemed rather frozen to the spot on his shoulder. Even if he could get her to act he doubted it'd be safe to have her intervene even now the first child was torn into, then a third, fourth, fifth. Each scareling cried out in fear and pain, each not understanding what they had done to earn this sort of treatment from world and why the boil they had seen wasn't helping them, wasn't doing anything.

The creatures tore and tugged and Kettil felt his heart cry out in dismay. Help them. He wanted to help them. The first child that seemed worse off seemed to start healing and becoming better, and soon other children started to survive the onslaught. When it seemed that the children weren't getting any worse (or even better) the onslaught suddenly stopped and suddenly there was the exit.

His heart gave a heavy shudder as he found himself able to move. That was harder on him than he dared to imagine. Glancing at Endy, she seemed shaken into silence and he simply moved to the exit as fast as he could the necklace disappearing from the perch around his neck back onto the cushion. That was one experience he didn't wish to relive if he could help it.

..At least the scarelings were alright in the end, he'd helped somewhat even if it was all an illusion set to mess with his mind.

DAY 3: KETTIL TRIES THE PRIESTESS TRIALS

I wanted to try and give something to the priestesses at least a small gift showing his thanks for letting him be there and muck around in the place (respectfully), and he'd even picked a priestess that he thought would receive his gift very well - the one that wore the small smile seemed to be the target of his gift giving. What he had picked up was a small parcel - a figurine that was no bigger than the palm of his hand.

As he started to meander up to the priestess his foot slipped on something slick causing him to fall forward knocking the wind out of his lungs, the gift careening off to it's 'demise' and making Endzela take to the air with a sudden displeased screech. He laid there on his front trying to regain his breath and after a few moments he sat up giving Kalia an apologetic look to which she only replied with her smiling face and a quiet gesture for him to move along so the next student can make their offering.

At least none of them seemed too angry at him for what had just happened. As he got to his feet he waited for Endzela to land on his shoulder who began to pick at parts of his hair to set the dreads right again, "That was a spectacular mess," she tittered at him.

Kettil sighed softly as he turned to walk away, "It could have been worse."

DAY 4: KETTIL TRIES TO MEDITATE AGAIN

Kettil and Endzela decided to try meditation yet again yet as Kettil settled down to meditate he couldn't seem to get comfortable and ended up getting distracted by said discomfort, it seems the boil had managed to put his shoes on the wrong feet.

Oops.

He took a moment to take his shoes off and set them aside for now, he'd put them back on before leaving.

Ah! Much better. The shoes off he began to try meditating again and this time he managed to sink into a deep state of meditation where he felt light as a feather and that everything was right with the world.

EVERYTHING WAS RIGHT. Nothing was wrong. Not one bit.

There came the niggling feeling at the back of his head something was bothering him - something was. Wait a minute. That ghoul - Freya's sister. She'd been dissing him this entire time. She wasn't busy like he thought she was, she'd been ignoring him and she apparently disliked him for something he didn't recall ever doing. That was not right, that was not proper but then...How did he know for sure? Maybe he should confront her about it and get her to spill her secrets, all of them maybe...

As he fretted with this it almost seemed to make him claw his way out of his meditative state as it had the last time but then...

Naw if she hates him then that is her own problem. Still, maybe he should talk to her to see if she really did have a problem with him so he could maybe fix it...?

Hm. Maybe.

As he drew out of meditation he put on his boots and shifted his shoulders uneasily. This meditation stuff was...Weird. He picked up his owl and left.
