Lady Neoko stands in the middle of the rose garden surounded by all sorts of colorful roses she begins to paint the black and red ones...she begins to sing to herself a song she always knew in her heart...she hears a twig crack in the distance....she slowely turns around and looks to see nothing..she laughs at herself for getting scared...she then returns to her painting alittle shaken up.

Aaron had somehow, against all his gut feelings, returned to the mansion, and had found himself in the garden of Neoko, quietly watching her as she painted. He had spent the last night tossing and turning and had gotten no sleep, and he new this night would probably be the same. He couldn't stop thinking of Neoko. She had all but died to him so many years ago, but now she was back and had ensnared his heart like the vines of the roses in this garden. What was it that pulled him back to her? He began to quietly sneak up behind her as best as his stealth skills could serve him. When he was roughly two feet behind her he put his sword on her shouder, the blade pointing at her neck. "What power is it that draws me back to you? Some form of witchcraft, or the devil himself? What have you done to me you temptress?"

"How can it be, love is something between two humans, not a human and an immortal creature of the night. This can't be real. I was taught that there is no love amongst creatures like you. So I'll ask you one more time, what is it that chains my heart to you?"

AaronTheGreat "How can it be, love is something between two humans, not a human and an immortal creature of the night. This can't be real. I was taught that there is no love amongst creatures like you. So I'll ask you one more time, what is it that chains my heart to you?"

Sweat beads form on Aarons forehead, but at the same time he felt cold, cold as stone. She was so graceful, so perfect, like an angel. Her fangs we're the only feature that let him know she hadn't descended from heaven. He looked to her and to his sword, and back to her again. His heart beat faster then it would have in combat. Suddenly,as if possesed, he walked over to Neoko and kissed her on the lips, long and soft and warm, but he cut it short and pushed her away, the pain of doing so visible throughout his face. "No, this is wrong, this cannot happen, this is not what God wants. I am sinning every second I am here with you. You are endlessly beautiful, but that cannot be real beauty, for you are a friend of murderers." and Aaron turns his back to her saying "and how can love come from murder?"

Aaron trembles through himself, His chest exploding, passion flowing through his veins, and he knows all he wants right now is to hold her for the rest of their lives. "H-how can we love each other, if I am destined to purge the land of your kind? We are enemies are we not? The vampire steals the humans blood, and the human ends the vampire's killing spree...." As he said these things, he did nothing to break away from her, but instead looked deep into her crimson eyes. Her eyes, the same color as the blood she had surely stolen from many humans, and yet no duller then the roses in this garden. He wanted to kiss her again, and to hold her all night long, but still his heart hated what she was.

Our hearts may make us lovers, but our hearts can be broken, while straying from our paths will destroy everything for both of us. You are darkness, I am light, and we cannot intertwine lest everything connected to us is destroyed." And saying this Aaron felt as if every blade ever forged had pierced through his heart. He wished to fall to his knees, take back every promise he had ever made to the brotherhood, give himself to her and forever fall into the darkness that would surely envelope him afterward. He thought about just walking away from all this, leaving to a far away place, and leaving this mansion to another slayer.....

Our hearts may make us lovers, but our hearts can be broken, while straying from our paths will destroy everything for both of us. His lips opened, but no sound came out. Anything he could think of saying would sound wrong now, and he wanted nothing more then the world to leave the two of them alone. If they could fly together forever through the empty void of space, perhaps then he would stop feeling a void in his own heart. He stood quietly and simply watched Neoko waiting for her next move.....
