Russ almost was never made a Tribute able to dodge being picked all the way up until he was 18 where the odds were no longer in his favor. However his Tactical Planning and skills came in handy when while he was in the Hunger Games allowing him to survive them almost unscathed other then a small slash scar he has on his right temple. Once he became Victor of the Hunger Games. He decided to remain in the Capitol using his Tactical Skills to mentor the next set of Tributes who came through. He also became quite eccentric enjoying the fancy living the Capitol has to offer. Spending a lot of time with the socialites. One thing Russ had always been capable of doing is providing the Tributes under him with proper sponsorship. However how they used the gifts he provided them always varied.
