We do have choices.

Of the series, I mean.

A Storm of Swords has been my favorite of the entire series so far (though I have yet to read A Dance With Dragons). The sheer scope of the story was so incredibly epic (and I don't use that word like everybody else does). There were a few times in the story where I got so emotionally caught up in it that I had to put the book down and walk away, which hasn't ever really happened to me before.

How did you feel about it? Do you think one of the other books was better than ASOS? Which one would you put it in a deathmatch against, if we were strictly talking about ASOIAF?

Off the top of my head ASOS was possibly tied with ADWD. I'd have to read both again to find out, but I honestly can't choose between the two.

[ Is ADWD really that good? I'm working my way through the books and I'm nearly finished with ASOS (but I bought AFFC a few days ago so I wouldn't have to wait to dive into it), but before I started reading someone told me that everything after ASOS really sucked. ]

The third definitely has the most jaw-dropping moments ever.
I just hope we get to see more like it in the next coming books.

I'm sorry but Tyrion as the kings hand made A Clash of Kings my favorite.

Now that I think about it, ASoS may have an unfair advantage over AFfC and ADwD in that it entails all the stories, while the latter two only cover partial stories in different areas, but I will still stand by my opinion of the two bieng tied in an earlier post.
