Raziel wandered into a pavilion and found some sort of challenge awaiting him. It was a game of sorts, where the object was to smell some squares and then tell the game maker which of the squares smelled the same, and which ones smelled different.
Although he wasn't known for having an intensely good nose, Raziel figured he would give it a try anyway.
Taking his time to smell each of the blocks carefully, and not confuse himself, Raziel slowly set up his blocks. His pattern was the Miyuki, or Royal Outing.
He waited to see if he was anywhere close.

Raziel watched intently as the Horseman set up his blocks. He was hoping that they would match his own guess for the scents. Time seemed to drag on as the Horseman placed the blocks carefully and slowly.
When he was finally finished, it was obvious that Raziel was way off the mark. It was revealed that the pattern was Shii-ga-moto, or Beneath the Oak.
Raziel hung his head in despair, and slowly got up to leave the pavilion and explore what else the Isle of Conquest had to offer.

A little more than a day had passed, and Raziel decided he would try his hand at the scent game again. This time Raziel had formed Utsusemi, Shell of Locust. He hoped dearly that he was even remotely close.

The horseman revealed what the scents really were. Raziel was pretty far off, yet again. The pattern the horseman revealed was Miotsukushi, Channel Buoys. Once again, Raziel slowly walked out of the pavilion, wondering how anyone was ever any good at this game.

Day three, and apparently Raziel didn't know when to give up. Third time's the charm, right? Oh well, at this point there was no turning him back, he was determined to try and get this thing right eventually.
Taking his time, Raziel eventually uncovered the pattern of Shii-ga-moto, Beneath the Oak.

Dun dun dun DUUUUUNNNNN!
Raziel was almost closing his eyes, squeezing them just shut enough to block his vision quickly if the pattern wasn't the same as his own.
Once the pattern was revealed, Raziel opened his eyes all the way, mostly because he couldn't see Jack otherwise. You could see the hope drain from his face as he - again- got the pattern entirely wrong.
As he exited the pavilion, he could almost swear he heard the horseman laughing at him quietly.
