Frequently picked on growing up, he learned to box at a local gym and became quite proficient to protect himself. Though he is unable to read music (he believes it's too restrictive), he picks up new instruments with great ease and quickly becomes fluid with them. When he came out as homosexual to his parents, their already tense relationship broke down and he left home at 17, living with a friend to this day. He makes his money primarily by busking in the park. He can be a difficult person to approach and talk to, but not because he's unfriendly; he very much likes the company of others but is easily hurt, and has a great deal of difficulty in making eye contact. Several years later, Ellen came out as a lesbian and the two divorced amicably, though they remain close friends to this day as Theo isn't the type of person to hold a grudge. "Hey, what was I gonna' do? It'd be like getting mad that she has blue eyes, man!" He is the godfather of Ellen's daughter Jade that she has with her wife, though she calls him 'Uncle T' just like his elder sister's children do.
