Ropes around his wrist grew tight as the men pulled them keeping him away from each other. He was bound and being lashed upon. He would lurch towards the men that held the ropes and was pulled in a different direction. He growled furiously as a whip lashed against his back again. He would not allow herself to cry out only to growl at them. Luke had only come into the town to get food. But now here he was fighting for his freedom. Just because he was different they had to tame him, break him, make her just like them. He was having none of it. This is why he had lived in the forest, to escape all this. Luke snarled dangerously at the men, they just laughed at him. Suddenly a rope found itself around his neck, then a yank and he was on the ground.
"Got 'im." yelled a man. The two men that held the ropes to his wrist went behind him. And the one that now held the rope around his neck went in front of him. He had no movement now. His freedom was in sure question. 'I'll kill you.' Luke thought he was furious. His breath harsh and ragged, the rope choking. It was what came next that surprised him, there was a sharp blow to the back of his head and his vision darkened.
When Luke woke next he found himself in a cage. He sat up rubbing the burns from the ropes on his wrist. They had finally captured him, but Luke had made sure he hadn't gone down without a fight. At least two of the men who had worked on capturing him has serious enough wounds that they wouldn't be trying anything any time soon. The other men would be licking their own wounds for a while. Luke had begun to lick his wounds when a dark haired man appeared in front of his cage. Luke gave a growl warning the man to let him alone but the man just chuckled his emerald eyes meeting Luke's different colored ones.
"Your quite interesting." the man said. Luke growled louder reinforcing his warning to let him alone. The man merely chuckled once more before turning to the keeper. "How much?" he asked. Luke recognized the keeper as someone who had escaped his wrath.
"That one, thats the guardian Kaine. We just caught him. Haven't even had a chance to break him, so hes completely wild." the keeper said. "He got five of my men."

Talmar sat in his office, the last rays of sunlight floating through an open window. A weapon sat on his lap, his brothers gun. Talmar had given it to his brother on his18th birthday. He could remember how happy his brother was to have gotten the gun, and the look on his face when Talmar said they were going to go hunting, his first hunt. Memories of his brothers first hunt came floating into Talmar's mind. He could remember how Ryan's screams of joy turned into screams of pain, Talmar could remember how he tried to reload his gun before Ryan was overwhelmed, but Talmar was not fast enough, the wolves had consumed him.
Talmar loaded the gun and raised it to his forehead. He started to pull the trigger when his phone suddenly rang. Closing his eyes and sighing, he pulled the hammer of the pistol back into safe position and placed the gun on the side table next to the phone. Eyeing the gun and the telephone, his hand reached out for the gun again, but then moved to the phone and picked up the receiver.
"Yes?"
"talmar?"
"yes, who is this?"
"This is Varn, I was told you were looking for some, special game?"
"How special are we talking about?"
"It runs on two legs instead of four."
"human?"
"Yes, interested?"
"Yes"
Talmar was suddenly excited, the thrill of hunting a human was unrivaled. It was one of the main reasons he had come to this god forsaken town, they had lax rules on hunting humans, the hard part was finding one no one cared about.
Talmar arrived at the address that had been given to him over the phone. Opening the door he found a cage and a young boy sitting in it. The boy had strange markings on his arms. "You say this boy took 5 of your men?" Talmar asked, looking quizzically at the man who called himself Varn. "If that is only half true I want him." Talmar said, kneeling down to the cage and looking at the boy.
"5,000" Varn said
"6,000, bring him my hunting grounds at the edge of the forest, I will do the rest".

Luke watched as a new man walked in he had scared the other one off earlier even left some damage. "Yes sir he took out five men and left a good gash on a customer in here earlier. Figure hes no good selling to anyone who wants him as a pet. Probably a good idea to put him in a caged area so he can't get too far away." the man said.
Luke watched as the price for him wasn't even negotiated. It seemed strange that the man wanted him despite knowing he would fight and would possibly injure him. Luke didn't care if he was going back to the forest he could get away.

Talmar looked at the young boy that sat in the cage. Expecting to see fear in his eyes he was met only with defiance. He had seen this look in the eyes of the wolves he had met in the forest, defiant even as he ended their lives.
"Where are you from boy? and how did you become so strong?" talmar said, leaning in toward the cage. He could not mask the pure interest he now had in the boy.

Luke watched the man as he approached the cage he was trapped in. He knew the man didn't know if he could speak no one did. He had never bother speaking with a human and that wasn't something he planned on starting now. He didn't care what the man thought of him or what he was planning to do. One human was no match for him.

Talmar cocked his head to one side, wondering why the boy would not speak to him. "Do you speak english?" Talmar asked, looking straight into the eyes of the boy, looking for some recognition that the boy understood what he was saying.
Frustrated that the boy was not responding to his inquiries Talmar sat on the floor. He reached into his pocket and produced a candy bar. "You want this, don't you?" talmar said, making a show of unwrapping it and showing it to the boy. Talmar unwrapped the candy bar and took a small bite of it, making a show of how good it tasted. Unwrapping it a little further he put it on the floor, within reach of the boy.
