Mist Hunter The Miss Taken Tower General Information As the general, jack-of-all trades division, the Mist Hunter training course is a combination of the other divisions' training challenges and also one of the more complicated. The goal of this course is to rescue the princess in the tower. Below her, you'll find yourself confronted with a number of shadowling attackers, and beyond them, a room of only slightly deadly traps. But even should you reach her location, you still need to pick the lock on the manacles holding her in place. Unskilled fiddling with the locks will prove unhealthy for both the princess and yourself. And once that's done, you need to make your way back down through the traps and shadowlings, defending the princess the whole way.
The Miss Taken Tower is one of the most challenging and frustrating courses available.
If you fail: your princess dies, and you are quite possibly KO'd. Senior hunters are observing and will make with a timely rescue as needed.
If you win: the princess will adore you for the rest of her exceedingly brief existence. Peen points for 100% health for you and the Princess, shadowlings fought, going for consecutive rescues.
Part 1 Mechanics - roll your regular attack - roll your regular attack again - if you miss an attack, you lose 50% of your full HP - if you have an available recovery bonus, you may try to use that to avoid HP loss

01. horrible death 02. - 50% HP 03. - 50% HP 04. live 05. live 06. - 50% HP 07. horrible death 08. - 50% HP 09. horrible death 10. live

It had been fairly quiet since Wilson’s promotion, which suited him just fine. Of course, there had been the “mission” in the kitchen, but he couldn’t bring himself to actually call that a mission. In fact, the death trainee would rather forget the incident. His new intermediate coat had been tarnished just only a day after he had been promotion. Horrible. He shook his head so he could focus on the building in front of him. Wilson stared up at the towering figure of the Mist Tower (oh look another pun). It had been a while since he had done the mist course, so he figured it was time to attempt it again.
Wilson summoned his weapon and fastened the mask over his face. You think the first time was a fluke? A raspy chuckle echoed back. [Only one way to find out.] The man chuckled as he entered the tower at last, aiming his cannons at the creatures.Status Stage: 1 Your HP: 50/50 Princess HP: ?/20 Stage 1 Recoveries: 0 Stage 2 Flags and Instincts: 1 flag and 1 instinctive move Stage 4 Bonus HP: 0

He smiled. That had been a downright spectacular way to start off the Miss Taken Tower. Gramps, did you count how many we took out with that first hit? [No, but it sure looked like a lot. You did good for once, Youngin’.] Wilson could hear the smirk in his weapon’s voice as they continued further into the tower. He easily doused another swarm of shadowlings with gas. They screeched, shrinking away from the trainee as he neared the door. Wilson breathed a sigh of relief as he began to de-summon his weapon. “That certainly went better than I thought it would.” [If only you could do that well during the actual sun course, hmm?] He scowled.Status Stage: 1 Your HP: Princess HP: /20 Stage 1 Recoveries: Stage 2 Flags and Instincts: Stage 4 Bonus HP:

Now it was time for the traps. He stood at the edge of the room, cautiously eyeing the tiles spread out before him. Wilson was a death hunter, so theoretically he should be able to pass this stage of the course with relative ease, but the pain of Deathsweeper was still somewhat fresh in his mind. Fortunately, the trainee pulled out a flag and let it clatter to the floor. The tiles around it seemed to spread apart, revealing a giant vat of liqiuid underneath the floor. The tiny item disappeared into the pot before the tiles came back together again.
Wilson paused and definitely did not choose that tile to step on.Status Stage: 2 Your HP: 50/50 Princess HP: /20 Stage 1 Recoveries: Stage 2 Flags and Instincts: adjusting to 5 with flag Stage 4 Bonus HP:

The second tile didn’t fare that well either. When the trainee stepped onto another tile, he heard the slow clatter of machinery moving. His eyes widened and he wildly looked around for the source of the noise. To his dismay, out from one of the walls came a cannon. His jaw dropped and he immediately ducked, eyes squeezed shut while he listened to the sound of something whizzing over his head and crashing into the opposite wall. He only glanced at the giant cracks in the wall for a few seconds before hastily heading for the exit.Status Stage: 2 Your HP: 50/50 Princess HP: /20 Stage 1 Recoveries: Stage 2 Flags and Instincts: adjusting to 10 with instinctive move Stage 4 Bonus HP:

Wilson finally made it to the princess! Last time it had been Dakota—and even if it was a golem, had still been damn heavy—so who would it be this time? He blinked a couple times when he realized that the person in the middle was distinctively Gale. The man cracked an amused smile as he walked over to the princess. Wow. Gale really was kind of cute in a princess dress. Could he take a picture of this to show the boy later? Though he remembered Clerise encountering a princess Gale as well, which the blond trainee hadn’t taken too well to. Hm. Oh well. Wilson snapped a picture anyways before he attempted to open the lock.
Boom.

“Hey!” Princess Gale screeched before he launched into a fit of coughs. Wilson smiled apologetically while waving away the cloud of smoke. “Sorry,” he answered. The golem only huffed in return. Sighing, the trainee bent back down to inspect the other lock. He quirked his head before reaching toward it. A few seconds later, the second pair clattered to the ground with a satisfying thud. Apparently all grievances directed toward Wilson had been forgotten, since Princess Gale shrieked with glee and wrapped his arms around Wilson.
This was weird. Wilson slowly shuffled his way back toward the door with a Gale clinging to his neck.Status Stage: 3 Your HP: 25/50 Princess HP: 10/20 Stage 1 Recoveries: Stage 2 Flags and Instincts: Stage 4 Bonus HP:

He never realized how difficult it was to walk around with someone clinging to you. Em had never been the type to cling. In fact, she preferred Wilson not to be overly affectionate. It made her embarrassed. The fact that the certain someone clinging to Wilson looked like Gale did not help the matter. He smiled uneasily as he nervously stared out at the tiles. Damn. Which one should he take? It was one thing to cross the room by himself, but now he had a golem with him. He sighed, picking a tile and hoping for the best.Status Stage: 4 Your HP: 25/50 Princess HP: 10/20 Stage 1 Recoveries: Stage 2 Flags and Instincts: Stage 4 Bonus HP:

“We’re going to take that tile over there, okay?” Wilson told Princess Gale in a gentle voice. The golem nodded obediently, but when Wilson headed for the stated tile, Princess Gale thought it was a better idea to head for a different tile. His eyes widened as Gale hopped away toward another tile. Panicking, Wilson chased after him. “Wait! Gale no, I said—“
He managed to grab onto Princess Gale’s wrist, but it was too late. The golem was assaulted by a barrage of arrows, one of them grazing the dress’s sleeve.Status Stage: 4 Your HP: 25/50 Princess HP: 7/20 Stage 1 Recoveries: Stage 2 Flags and Instincts: Stage 4 Bonus HP:

Princess Gale was pouting now. “It’s okay, Gale. Just be more careful next time, okay?” The golem nodded obediently, but the trainee seriously doubted it would follow Wilson. Sigh.Status Stage: 4 Your HP: 25/50 Princess HP: 7/20 Stage 1 Recoveries: Stage 2 Flags and Instincts: Stage 4 Bonus HP:

Yeah so going through the shadowlings hadn't gone that great either, BUT AT LEAST PRINCESS GALE WAS STILL ALIVE.
Wilson smiled awkwardly when Princess Gale continued to cling to him. This was getting weird now.
