Aleister had headed back to the training field. He was a bit bored and decided to see if he could drum up anyone to help him train. After narrowly escaping the mission he went on with Before and Offie, and the Band tryouts thing he realized maybe he needed to train a bit more.
He wasn't really sure who he'd run into but he decided if he stood on the field long enough someone would come around.<You know you look like an idiot?><That's nice to know Pookie.><Why not just text that ghoulie you were talking too the other day? She said she needed to train too. You two can become ~friends~> The Puca sounded a little sarcastic but paused, <Well... you two get along at least and you're not hiding like an idiot. So send her a message.><... You're being pushy.> Aleister sighed mentally as he pulled out his phone. He wasn't going to deny it'd been nice to talk to Syd though.Ice Queen Aleister: Hey you want to train? I'm at the field if you're interested.

Sydney looked up from her book (which rather disappointed Izy, they were just getting to the steamy part!) and picked up her phone. When she read the message she broke into a grin and jumped off her bed, grabbing her coat and racing out the door, all the way to the field.
Yes, it was one of the few moments she had to herself, but she had been wanting to try sparring, and this was an excellent chance.
"Aleister!" she said as she got there. "Thank you for inviting me! Um, I've never actually sparred before, so--could you walk me through this?"
Izy, you are SUCH a pervert, she told him, her smile not even changing as she summoned him to weapon form.

Aleister was sitting on the grass with Pookie around his shoulders. He smiled when Syd showed up, it didn't take her long, "Hey," He hopped up from his spot dusting off his pants.
"You're welcome." He paused, well he hadn't really sparred either. "Well... from what I've read, you basically treat it like a fight but stop before you actually kill someone." There was a silly grin.
"I haven't really sparred before but I figure if we treat it like a real fight, sans having to kill anything, we'll be fine." He slipped Puca off his shoulders and twirled the chain so the ball was going in a circle.
"So is that Izy?" He was looking at the crossbow. "Looks really sturdy, and great for long range attacks." He smiled, "So would you like to start?" He asked. Offering her to chance to get the first blow.

"If you don't mind," she said, bringing up her weapon to get the first shot in. She needed to keep her distance--then he would be at a disadvantage.
Izy said abruptly. The arrow shot out, glancing against Aleister's FEAR shield.

Aleister stepped back as he watched Syd fire off an arrow. He could feel Pookie's excitement, "Lets do this then." He tried to dodge the arrow but it hit and he winced. Despite having a fear shield the thought of that hurt.
He grinned, well she had the advantage for now, as he ran forward, unfortunately for Aleister he tripped himself up and stumbled to an awkward stop a ways from Syd.

Izy said before she could even react. She made a face at his orders. This was just a spar, not a war!
But he did make an easy target, she thought as she fired off another shot.

<Are you trying to be a target?> Pookie sounded unsure of what Aleister was doing. However, the Puca didn't agree with whatever it was.
<No.> Aleister winced as the arrow hit his shield again. This was not good, Pookie was already a bit ticked off at him and then of course he was hoping Syd wasn't going to think he was going easy on her.
He got up only to trip up in his jacket. He twitched slightly, obviously this wasn't going to go well at all. He sighed and stood up, taking a few steps backwards before falling again, this time over one of Izy's arrows. "Oh for the love of mercy." He muttered. Why was he being so clumsy!?
<Next time you get up, can you try to do something usefull?>

Izy crowed happily. Syd sighed and pulled the trigger again, wondering if perhaps they should trade sides--like in a football game. Was the ground rougher over there or something? The poor man kept tripping!

Aleister seemed to finally find his feet and run towards Syd with Pookie twirling before letting go when he was in range, watching as the blitzball hit her fear shield.
<FINALLY THANK JACK.> Puca screamed in his head celebrating, <Now maybe you can hit the broad side of a barn, without missing three times.>

She nodded and looked away as the arrow flared through the air, flashing brightly in front of Aleister, blinding him.

Well now that he'd hit, he had round about ready to run towards her again, when suddenly there was a bright flash. "Holy moly." He tried to shield his eyes but it was like someone had just flashed a camera at him. He frowned before shaking his head and charging anyways sending Pookie hurling towards her, feeling the hit.
He stumbled as he left her side, he didn't want to be hit point blank by Izy.

Syd grunted as she was hit again, wondering what had just happened with Izy. He had blinded Aleister? Huh... that was interesting... She turned, shooting again. She should have aimed better, but at least she clipped him!

Aleister shook his head finally clearing all the bubbles from it. <Remind me not watch the arrow again.> He mentally noted as he ran forward aiming once again for Syd. This seemed to be going rather well as a training session.
<Duely noted. Next round, lets go for a power hit.> Puca seemed to be pretty giddy about being able to do some more fun things. <Oh and this time, don't yell out burning blitz or whatever the hell it was you called it. Makes you sound like a nerd.> He'd caught on when he noticed Aleister looking at Pokemon cards one day where that came from.

Syd took the hit like a champ and shot back, again barely pinging his FEAR shield. She needed to learn how to be a heavier hitter, she decided. Maybe work on her aim for it?

Aleister charged forward and swung pookie. However, but some... large amount of fate or just really bad luck on the death trainee's part... He missed.....

Aleister reeled back as Pookie started yelling at him, holding his head a bit. "Shut up pookie." He growled irritatedly and walked backwards away from Syd.
