Robert certainly didn't care about Jordan being late, because if it had been him, he would have probably gotten there in a half hour and been shameless about it. When he saw that burst of color stick his head in the door, his face bloomed in a grin, and he hopped off the table he'd been lounging on to grab his friend by the shoulder with one arm and drag him inside. "BOSS." He practically barked, before leaning in to whisper as if it was suddenly a good idea to keep their location a secret. After he'd yelled. "Okay. This is gonna be awesome. You're pretty much saving my life here. Did anyone follow you?" Robert looked around shiftily.

"Perfect." Robert let Jordan go, and crooked his finger, beckoning him to follow. But before he could explain, it sunk in that he had brought Robert something, and his eyes widened childishly as he stared at the bag.

"You brought me a present?" He inched forward, reaching for the bag. "What is itttt what is it." He hissed, trying to figure out the best way to extract the bag from Jordan's hand. "All right boss, you follow me. I will show you the safest spot in the whole compound." This was, of course, a lie; but it was still a very well hidden spot. He took Jordan's arm in his hand and tugged him along, a proud smile on his face. "Now, I'ma show you why it pays to be Life."

If this was all Life truly had to offer.. it did not pay to be Life. But Robert loved his division, and he loved to brag. Even about the little things.

So he dragged his boss to the first floor stairwell, and took one last, furtive look around, before tugging him gently underneath the stairwell, where nothing but darkness waited. There was a creaking sound, and suddenly Jordan was being pulled into the darkness.

"Sort of." Robert whispered as he closed the door behind him, and tugged on a little chain that clicked on a single bulb of light above his head. The room was tiny, and yet there was room enough for a few necessary things. "It's not just my room, but it is definitely a secret. Ain't nobody gonna find us in here."

He looked for a clean spot on the ground, and then flopped into it, folding his legs up underneath him and looking at Jordan with unabashed glee in his eyes. "Okay, now, whatcha bring me!"

A squeal that sounded less manly than Robert would have ever liked, escaped him, and he launched himself at Jordan, hugging him right around the middle. "You are my favorite!" He shouted, before flopping back down and lifting the beer up, rubbing it against his cheek lovingly. "Ohhh, my babies. Daddy loves you so much, yes he does. Yes he does!"

He set them back down, and popped one open, holding it lovingly with both hands and bringing it up to his lips. Sweet nectar of life, it ran down his throat and filled his stomach with happiness.

"Oh, boss. I could just kiss you right now." But he didn't. Sorry. Back to the topic. "I'm sure there's tons of these little guys all over the place. But this.. this is ours." He lifted his can up to the man and grinned. "Cheers."

Robert sputtered as he brought the can down off his face and nodded fervently. "Dude. Boss. You never need to ask. Anything that's mine is automatically yours. By default. Anyway, you ********' brought me these, just, whatever you want. Seriously." Then he brought the can back to his face, and with both his big, bulky hands, held it up like he was nursing a bottle.

"Ahhhhhhhhhh," He sighed when the bottle was empty, dropping it to the floor and grinning like a fool. "That felt like, so good. Why does no one get how necessary beer is to life? They should have this s**t on tap in the cafeteria with the coffee." Oh, what a wonderful world that would be. <3 "Thanks for doing this with me, boss. I ain't sayin' I don't wanna be there for Jerry, but, God.. just.. I don't wanna be there." He snuck his hand closer to another can, fingers wiggling suggestively. "Plus, the tension in there with certain people is getting.. you know. Kind of weird."
