It has taken several months, but I am finally getting done with my responsibilities here. I've redone all the stickies and the announcement. I have also made the official change from calling crewmembers "mods" to actually calling them crewmembers. It'll just make things easier in the future, I'm sure. Now I'm going to edit the front page of the guild. I'll probably keep the same text there that's been there since forever and a decade, but I will have different pictures there. After that is done, I am going to PM every crewmember, and see what's going on. When I get a response from everyone, I will make a crew list of who does what(Who patrols what forums, who bans, who is able to be PMed, who can control affiliations, etc.). If I do not get a response within 5 days(July 2nd is the last day), you will lose your crew status. This does not include Dragon Kitty, as she has already informed everyone she's in Israel right now. But I'm going to PM her, anyway. Now, here's what crewmembers who I haven't PMed yet can do: Go look at the memberlist thread, and cross-check that with the memberlist of the Guild, and see who can be banned(zeroposters), and then actually ban them. Normal members, if you wish to contribute, generate more discussion/activity in the Crimson Stag! You can also cross-check the memberlist thread with the memberlist of the guild, and see if any names don't match up. Edit: I've changed the guildfront. At the moment, I would like a new guild minibanner, but that can wait. Here is the PM every crewmember got, in case you deleted it or something: Quote: Hey Everyone! You're getting this PM because you're an Ibis crewmember. Because the guild has been inactive, my constant threats of trying to jazz up the guild are finally coming into reality. You have to respond to this PM within 5days(by July 2) or YOUR CREW STATUS WILL BE LOST. Because I'm revamping the guild, here's what I need to know: 1. Do you still wish to be a crewmember of the Ibis?(If you say no, ignore the next questions) 2. If you remain a crewmember, can I depend on you to be ACTIVE(whether in the background or by actually posting). 3. Can I count on you to read, review, and follow the new rules, in the new announcement? 4. Will you handle join requests, zeroposter banning, and general forum moderation, as dictated by the rules in the new announcement? 5. Are your PMs open to the general public, and not friendslist only? 6. If your PMs are open/on, if a member of the Ibis has a problem that needs to be fixed, can I list your name so they can PM you about it, so you can handle it BY YOURSELF? (If you say yes, you will have to deal with the users, no more of living under rock) 7. If you were to be assigned one "job" for the Ibis, what would you like it to be?(moderation which forum , only accepting member requests, affiliation requests, dealing with user problems/feedback, updating the roleplay list, etc.)
Remember, if you don't PM me back with the answers to these questions by July 2, your crew status will be FORFEIT.
-Q I have someone I want to make crew, but at this point I'm only going to crew her/him if somebody else doesn't respond by July 2 or says they can't do it(Or doesn't apply for that certain job). Next up... Wait until the responses come back. Er... sweatdrop

Well, I've gotten two replies so far.. One of them asked to be de-crewed. So, the good news is I can crew the person I want to be crew, the bad news is... The response time for the normal crewmembers doesn't look good, and I may have to get completely new crew. Which would suck, honestly. But it looks like that's going to happen.
I guess I'll wait and see. It's only been a day, after all.

Making the crewmember responsibilities today by assigning jobs. Might be able to update all the stickies and such regarding this. But I'm being incredibly lazy today for some reason. X|
Happy 2nd anniversary, Ibis! I can't believe I forgot. >_<;
Anyway, I'm going to go eat, then hopefully this can go underway.

Okay, we have four crew, currently. Me, DK, Pearlholy, and Akina.
For anyone looking in the memberlist and going "Hey, who's this [L] character?" that's my mule.
Anyway.
Pearlholy, DK, and I all have PMs set to public.
DK and Pearlholy wish to handle personal problems.
Pearlholy wants Guild feedback.
DK wants Personal problems(User A is bugging me/won't get out of my thread).
Akina is unaccounted for in everything. We need more crew. But anyway.
I think this is how I'm going to assume things are going to go:
Pearlholy:
PM her for general stuff, as she is the general guild manager of people.
Are you going away for a month? Don't have time to tell everybody? Tell her and if anybody asks, she'll know. She's like the librarian of the Ibis.
She will also deal with back-end things. Clearing out zeroposters, for instance. Boredom-curing laborious tasks that nobody feels like doing because it doesn't involve talking to anybody else.
Pearlholy will also deal with general questions, such as "What does this in the rules announcement mean?" and "Is statement B a rule violation?" She will also probably do public announcements, like a montly line about who's doing what and when. A news reporter, if you will. She'll only keep tabs on what YOU PM her, however.
Pearlholy has rights to make stickies if they involve community topics, especially if it has to do witht he guild. Want to do a banner contest for the guild? She handles it. Recruit contest? Pearlholy's job.
Additionally, she'll do mundane tasks such as accepting join requests and monitoring invites.
Dragon_Kitty
Her PMs are open for anything and everything. Reporting a thread against TOS, complaining that Noobie1 is flaming in your thread, or anything that involves civil unrest.
Having a problem with somebody? PM her.
Did you get a warning and you think it was unfair, or that you were completely innocent? PM her. If you think the punishment for a rule violation was too harsh, PM DK. She is the judge of all that is humane.
She will also answer join requests and invites. She's co-captian as well, so can do pretty much anything she wants.
Q
Yay, me.
PM him about anything. Q is the captain of the guild, and should know all. Any questions about rules, join requests, affiliate requests, etc., go to Q. He's not specialized, he just picks up where everyone else left off.
Q is also probably the most active, right now.
He'll do mundane tasks like banning zeroposters, inactive users, and giving out warnings. He'll also move inactive threads to Dead Threads. Q is probably the only one who actually uses dead threads. X|
Your Akina
She's a Gaia Moderator, Guild Captain, and Ibis crew member. As such, highly valued. Any ToS violations go directly to her. Do not PM her under any circumstances. She'll probably also handle general warnings if she spots a rule violation, and join requests, but she has the least responsibility of all the crewmembers.
Hope this sounds alright. Since we still don't have anybody to handle the roleplay linklist, and I really don't want to do it, I'm going to wait until we get some new crewmembers before I continue.

OneCalledPyrin will handle the RP linklist.
People should PM her to take their RPs off the list, or put them on. She'll also handle join requests whenever, but otherwise isn't obligated to do anything else.

Sormani
He's the back-end manager, you could say.
Sormani will clean out zeroposters and inactive users. He'll handle join requests and invites. He can organize official threads in Pale Ocelot(such as the memberlist), as well as make suggestion to the other crewmembers on how the mechanics of the guild should work.
If you can't see it, Sormani probably did it.
You should only PM Sormani if a.) You were banned from the ibis, and you think it was wrongful, or you want to re-join. b) if you wish to invite your mule so you don't have to fill out a join request(although if you state who's mule you are you should be fine with a join request).
Sormani will also work hand in hand with DK and Q for member bannings. As such, he keeps track of the warning list(which at this time doesn't exist, but soon will). If a member reaches 3 warnings on this list, Sormani will either deem it fit to ban the member with our three strikes you're out policy, or PM Q or DK with what he think should be done, if the warnings were issues for small things(like bumping).
If a crew member gets two warnings, he goes through the same procedure. If the crewmember's two warnings were warranted, he'll notify Q or DK to de-crew that person, or if the rule violations were really horrible, he'll ban the crewmember. He'll also notify Q if he thinks some other lesser punishment should take place.
REMEMBER THESE DESCRIPTIONS ARE PRELIMINARY AND IF YOU HAVE ANY IDEAS, QUALMS, COMMENTS, I CAN CHANGE THESE TO FIT YOU BETTER.

I'm currently updating the member's list. I'm trying to an alphabetical member's list. I don't know what I'm doing it. Perhaps I thought that it just needed a bit of more organisation? Perhaps. I don't know. I don't know if it's going to be any more useful if I add an alphabetical member's list. But for some reason something (Some random person: YOUR CONSCIOUS!)tells me that it would eventually come in handy!
I'm still working on it, however I should be done by the end of the day!

Okay, with everybody having their own little jobs now, I needs to make a thread detailing these jobs.. Probably in that huge multi-page announcement. xd
Then I need to re-do all the announcements/stickies to tell people who to PM and give links and such.
After that, I REALLY NEED TO POST IN KING PURPLE OMG. I have no idea why shiarka hasn't blacklisted me yet. D: D:
THEN, make the guild public for the recruitment fest.
Later... decide if there will be prizes, or even how to run the recruitment fest, since the last few kinda sucked.

I'm unsure of what I have and have not finished, currently.
I know that Sormani hasn't done the warning list, which takes all of five minutes to do... While that sort of pisses me off, I can't blame him since I haven't been doing much, either.
Plus, I've been thinking about re-working the whole warning system anyway.
Witht he way the guild is going, I'm thinking screw the warning system and the diplomatic structure and just go with a sort of totaltarian "If I think you suck, you get ban" deal.
I'm still thinking on the logistics of making this work, however.
At this point, the warning points and suchw ill only be for crewmembers, since I want to make sure that stays serious business. I don't want what happened with to happen again(where he violated some important rules but I felt obligated ot keep him around as crew).
I am also thinking about demoting DK. It feels like I'm making myself feel obligated ot keep her up top, but everyone has raised a rather valid point: Niether she nor I are here half the time, and that leaves nobody to run the guild. sweatdrop
I'm sure if she ever comes back, she'll be promoted again or we'll work something out, but right now.. I haven't heard anything from her whatsoever for a few months now, and I'm wondering if she ever will come back.
Every time I IM or PM her about hte guild she gets really defensive and starts saying things like how I could ever doubt her commitment and such... Well. I've been doubting it for a rather long time.
I know she's busy, but so am I, and even I find time ot come here nad make a post at least once a month(no offense to her, of course).
Right now I'm going to re-read all the rule threads, and see what needs to happen.. And then I'm going to make it happen.
And if I end up making a warninglist before Sormani finishes his, then, well... I'm going to be very mad.
And after that, I'm going to go through the memberlist and update the memberlist thread itself. That's probably going to take a really long time.
Needless to say, I'll be drunk in about 30 minutes too, so I'll be working on the guild while intoxicated. Expect errors to occur.

Instead of being drunk I'm now smoking. Which strangely allows me to error with spelling more. But Firefox2 has a spell checker, so as long as I'm aware of red dotted lines I'll think I'll be fine.
I've Banned DK. I don't want to talk about it. So don't bother bringing it up. For now, she'll stay as 'co-founder' in credit at least, since she has helped more with this guild than I could ever hope to strive for. But other than that, yeah.
I may have acted foolhardily when I banned her - there are other people who are more inactive that I haven't(I will get to it, I'm sure), but if she truly cared about what was going on with her position within the Ibis, she would've talked to me when she got demoted from co-captain to crew.
I'm waiting for Senisok(formerly Sormani) to finish the warning thread. His points system is ingenious, and he deserves more credit than he's getting. I feel guilty for talking bad about him at all. xd
The point system is just what needed to be changed about the warning list. As soon as he finishes, we can all get to banning zero posters and updating the stickies again.
I'm thinking about taking out the stories behind the subforums. They're retarded....
