If there was one thing that Lerin had come to know, it was life was definitely interesting at times to say the least. When she grew up in her small little clan Lerin definitely didn’t think that one day she was going to go off and do everything that she had. After all girls grew up to be pretty and collect flowers and create babies or at least that was the view point of her clan. Her older brother didn’t think that life would have suited her too well either. One night he had packed her a human bag full of different berries and dried things, enough to get her by for a bit and snuck her out of the clan.
Perhaps it would have been better if she had stayed behind and taken on being a girl. However even though it was tough Lerin loved the adventures she went on. Even if she was fighting for survival most of the time traveling around with her group of friends was very memorable for her.

Tsukiyomi sighed and continued on the path. He didnt often like traveling in open spaces however he had been a bit tired of trampling through the forest making his own path at the moment. Come to think of it, tt wasn’t often he was able to meet up with his once companions, most of his days consisted of surviving what ever climate he found himself on. He had told Lerin once when the band was still together that he was going to go out and explore the world. Well that’s just what he did. However now he was on his way back to meet up with his red haired companion. Just the other day he had run into her fending off a group of fox bandits, after helping her win against the sneaky thieves. It was then they set up this meeting.
Out of their group Tsukiyomi got along best with Lerin. This wasn’t too surprising as Helios and Rei where often busy bickering at each other in the background. Yomi would have to tell his companion that the two had finally lifemated and where expecting their first batch of kits. He supposed Micail was still searching for Elise, but since he didn’t really get along with the long haired male, he wasn’t too worried about whether or not Micail had found her.

Lerin was pretty lost in her musing however there was a sharp snap that brought her out of her spacey time and she looked up just in time to notice her very long time blue colored male friend coming out of the forest. She let out a knowing smile seeing as Yomi wasn’t too big on plains, because it provided little cover, which was why Lerin was waiting at the edge of a forest but it meant a lot to her that he was secretly coming all this way to meet her. After all even if Kat had been her best friend she had always had a secret crush on Yomi. “Hey Yomi, glad you actually came” she smiled closing the distance between him. Being the ever friendly one she instantly enveloped him into a hug. “I guess you’re on time again huh?” she teased her ever punctual friend. She bet he was even perfectly on time for his birth.

Tsukiyomi slowly lifted his dark lavender colored eyes towards the speaker. He had been focusing his gaze on the ground, focusing on where he wanted to go. It helped him not slip into a nearly silent gate. It looked as if she had already heard him which was fine with the male. “And you’re ever early like normal” Yomi teased letting himself relax now that he was with his friend. He wondered how long she had actually been out here, although she didn’t look like she had been too bored. Then again Tsukiyomi knew by experience that even if he asked Lerin would only admit to a few minutes. She had a thing about telling white lies to her friends to down play the situation. Of course any one who knew her well and for a long time could eventually spot them. After all she tended to slightly look away and down when telling close friends something not entirely true. “It’s good to see that you are still doing well my friend” he replied looking her over. When they had run into each other the other day he hadn’t really had time to notice anything.

Ugh sometimes she wished Yomi didnt know her as well as he did. It was almost slightly embarrassing having your companion know you'd be waiting for at least for a while. Lerin let out a guilty blush and looked over towards the side. She was just soo excited about meeting Tsukiyomi again, it had been way too long since their last real visit. When she had joined that group of foxes fighting for control of the tribe Yomi had been her partner during all the fighting and one she knew would constantly have her back. Sure Yomi was a bit rough around the edges and most of the times his complements where a bit back handed but she didn’t mind too much it was just something you got used to. “Yep surprisingly I’ve actually been looking out for my self” Lerin nodded with pride. Often when she was younger she would be too occupied about when the rival tribes would attack and forgot to really take time to eat or sleep for the most part. She was always the last one to go to bed, well other than tsukiyomi

Tsukiyomi raised a mocking slash part disbelieving eyebrow and leaned in closer knowing it would quite frustrate her. “Really now” he said in a teasing manner. Some times Lerin just had a face where you wanted to tease her, or maybe it was just something she awoke in him. Of course in all actuality he half expected she would start taking care of her self when they all parted ways. After all there is only so long that you can forget about eating or sleeping for that matter. He wondered if she had met any one special and if that was part of the change. This caused his chest to sink a little. If she did, did he really want to know about anyone special? Tsukiyomi did admit he was of the jealous persuasion however he knew he had also disappeared for a very long time. He looked over at Lerin again and let out a sigh. So what did one do when meeting a very good friend after a long period?

“Yes really. After all I’m not dead or a stick am I” Lerin said with a slight pout. Seriously she remembered to eat all the time. Of course actually eating breakfast most of the time was a completely different story. She just found more interesting things to do than spend the time trying to procure meals. Then they went back to staring at each other. Lerin nibbled on her lip wondering what she should talk about; after all she had gotten him all the way out here, she doubted it was good manners to just sit there and stare at each other. She briefly remembered he had left to go see the world which was part of the reason she hadn’t seen him in so long. Perhaps she should mention that, had he eaten before coming here she could offer to go hunting? Of course while he was gone she hadn’t been that idle herself. Perhaps she could tell him a bit about her adventures. Then again he might not like it and she definitely didn’t want to bore him.

Yomi held in a chuckle as he watched Lerin fidget. He could definitely tell that she was thinking about what to say. He did have to admit that none of his companions really knew how to run a reunion but then back then you really didn’t know if another fox was going to kill you and if you’d be around to have a reunion, really not the place to pick up social skills. They had been more of the action type anyways preferring to run straight out into battle and take out as many enemy foxes as they could to lesson the burden on their allies. Plus on your time off you didn't want to sit around chit chatting. The group used to joke that it was something that constantly drove said allies up the wall. “So what you been up too. You seem happy so you can’t have been spending your time suffering from boredom. You tend to get depressed when that happens” Tsukiyomi asked deciding to break the silence. It was the least he could do after all.

The fact that her friend studied her enough to know her emotions caused a light flush cross Lerin's cheeks. She wanted to know what made her so interesting that Yomi though it was a well worth pursuit to know how she reacted to things. Then again she was also pretty flattered that he found her important enough to learn how she reacted. Of course this escaped her persona through a small smile and a slight chuckle, later she would admit she had not done consciously. “Well I’ve been out meeting all sorts of new foxes. I ran into Micail again. He’s still as pompous as ever of course now he has this thing in his head to make children. Unfortunately he still hasn’t seemed to have met up with Elise again” She shuddered at the prospect and left out the very important detail of Micail had mentioned said baby making with her. Tsukiyomi would instantly leave to go kill him.

Well apparently that had hit the spot. Lerin instantly brightened up and even laughed which in turn earned a smile from his own lips. Perhaps constantly asking the questions first could be beneficial. He would have to take the inchoative again some time. Then his mood dropped a bit. Joy so the fox was still alive, not that Yomi thought Micail was dead for the most part. However, if one ever asked Yomi would not be too saddened if Micail was swallowed up by the earth. Then again the two never really got along all that often even if they where allies, or where supposed to be. “Wait did you just say children?” Tsukiyomi replied dumbfounded. Micail was not the type anyone would ever expect to want kids or to be a father. He shuddered at the mere possibility of more of Micail running around the world. Then again he supposed stranger things had happened.

“Yeah it surprised me as well” Lerin laughed glad that she hadn’t told him about the whole who Micail had planned as said mother. The look on her friends face was priceless. It was definitely worth bringing Micail up. Of course when or if she mentioned the mother that would quickly turn her friend most murderous “Although like normal I don’t see him all that often. Poor Elise definitely has her hands full with that one” Lerin laughed not really feeling sorry for the poor female fox in the least. Out of all her companions she got along with Micail the best even though they didn’t see each other in a romantic light at all. The pranks they would some times group together to pull where still legendary in some parts of the world. “Anyways I also met up with this young female named Liana. She’s definitely quite a character. She’s actually been the one keeping me entertained for the longest time.

Tsukiyomi nodded, just barely keeping in the giant sigh of relief. Well it didn’t sound like he had to worry about too many boys then. Lerin would have definitely told him if she had kids or even a mate. She was the type to like keeping her friends informed or well pretty much informed. It was information you would have told your best friend. Besides it sounded like Liani was the only one to be worried about and he knew for a fact Lerin was quite straight. Tsukiyomi also wasnt that stupid, he knew that even if she was still single if he left to keep on exploring the world it might not be the same way next time. He opened his mouth to say something when his stomach decided it was going to protest not having breakfast this morning. He normally would have eaten but he was actually running a bit late, at least for him. He looked up sheepishly as Lerin began laughing at him again. Great just what he needed a rebellious image destroying stomach.

At first sudden surprise crossed her features then Lerin smiled and shook her head. Another pearl of laughter escaped from her mouth. She should really stop before Yomi found it in his best interests to tackle her and tickle her to death or do even worse things. Well that solved the question of whether Tsukiyomi had eaten or not. “Now who is the one that isn’t taking care of him self hmm. I guess we should go eat soon” she suggested in a teasing manner. Some times Yomi’s body was more honest than he was and it always seemed to turn him into a blushing young boy when ever it happened. It was often very endearing in Lerin’s eyes. Now what to eat, she supposed they could go hunting as berries and nuts where a bit out of season at least here most of the wildlife in the plains where hibernating safely in burrows.

“I meant to but being on time was more important besides you three always thought it was in the end of the world when I was late by even a margined time period and I suppose I missed you these few months so I was very concerned on being on time.” It was his turn to smile again as Lerin turned a bright red. It clashed with her hair but he still found it extremely cute and what he had said was pretty true. After all thanks to not being able to sleep for the longest time the night before he had overslept this morning. “So what’s in season? I would guess that most of the game is hibernating and I’m not really a bird kind of person." Yomi commented. As he came from a half phim family and his father’s nick name for his mother had always been ‘Little Bird’ he never found he could really eat them. If he was on his own he would try to see if there where any fish but this time he wasn’t and he was letting Lerin pick where she wanted to eat.

Oh If Tsukiyomi was even the slightest bit perverted he would be a total lady killer. He seemed rather natural about charming girls, or at least he knew the perfect thing to say. Come to think of it he pretty much was a lady killer all the females in their once tribe practically drooled after him of course Tsukiyomi was pretty focused on his mission and was oblivious to the whole thing. Of course she had to grow red cheeks herself, now who was the blushing adolescent? Seriously she should tackle him for old time’s sake just to show the dark blue male who he was dealing with. “Well I would say Fish, that’s always the best guess. After all it’s not really the season for anything else unless you want to go through some work to get your food. Fish is the easiest. Is it okay with you?” Lerin asked. After all even though this isn’t where she normally lived she was still more familiar with the place and Tsukiyomi was her friend and guest. He should get some input on what he wanted to eat.
