⋆ History :: LaHarl was born to married teenaged parents during the 106th Hunger Games. Unfortunately his father had been chosen and killed in the games, a month before his mother gave birth. Thankfully his mother was not picked for the 107th games and she was then free to raise LaHarl without fear of leaving him an orphan. After LaHarl was born, his mother moved back to her parent’s ranch and he was raised in a very loving family. His grandfather taught him the ways of livestock handling and he grew up as a strong burly boy that did his very best to please his family. His mother never remarried.
Once LaHarl was old enough to understand what had happen to his father, his dislike for the Capitol grew. After arguing with his mother for so long, he finally won and began his training to ensure that he wouldn’t become his father and die if he was chosen for the Hunger Games. So he started a regime of weight training, consisting of various weights of livestock carcasses. Shortly before he turned 17, his grandfather had a stroke and though he survived, the old man was unable to keep records for the ranch anymore. So LaHarl became the Head Rancher and Bookkeeper, permanently leaving school. In payment for his work, his family put together their savings and bought a sword for him to train with.
