The warm sun in the sky brought the kiss of spring to the land. Flowers were starting to bloom and leaves starting to bud. It was the time that a tall shapely and rather unusual stallion loved the best. Not because things were getting warmer or summer was going to come soon. No it was because spring time was the time that more foals and baby animals showed up. There were few things that the stallion liked more than the youth of the world.
Wandering around sun covered paths a glint of bright red flower buds caught Sacha's eyes and drew the stallion from the path. He was drawn into a large field where red flowers were starting to bloom. HIs golden eyes looking over the brilliant red blooms.

Keeva sat under the shade of a tree with one of her oldest books and smiled as she looked through the leaves at the sky. The day was bright, cheerful thankfully calm. Just ahead of her, a field of wild red flowers. She watched as a white butterfly flitted across the top of that small lake of red. She paused as she saw a stallion enter the field. He was tall, with broad shoulders and had very vibrant coloring with the fiery red body and apple green mane. I wonder why he came here? I don't normally see others in this field...

With the sea of red flowers before him, a red mare hidden in the shadow of a tree had not yet caught the stallions eyes. However when a glint of white wings fluttered up form the flowers the golden eyes focused on the little butterfly. A charming bright smile crossed his red lips and rather against his strong appearance the stallion gave a bit of a laugh as he almost dances in chase after the little butterfly only to be distracted but yet another little white butterfly. He laughed and chased after it very much like a young colt. As the little wings carried the creature faster than he could match his golden orbs caught sight of a mare with indigo hair and soft duel colored fur in the shadow of a large tree. Her violet eyes watching him with curiosity. He gave a bit of a laugh and a nod of his head towards her.

Keeva giggled as the stallion chased after the butterflies. He seemed to have a bit of a childish heart. The thought was rather cute in a way. She froze when his golden orbs locked on hers. She quickly averted her gaze when he nodded, completely embarrassed that she'd been caught staring. Well I've been caught I may as well say hello. Slowly she stood up holding the book to her chest, "Hello..."

Sacha could hear the soft sound of her laugh grace his ears and he reached a hand back and ran scaled fingers threw his curly green hair at the laugh. He did love laughing and he laughed as well. When she stood he could see she had a book in her hands and he lowered his hand, "Hello. I am sorry to interrupt your book....you were reading right?" He asked, his voice was soft and friendly as he cover the distance between them in a few strides.

Keeva smiled and shook her head. "You weren't bothering me, I've actually read this one so many times I could probably recite it..." She set the book down and looked at him more closely. He didn't have fur like most of their race but scales. She stepped closer as well curiousity shining in her eyes as she reached out to touch his arm. She caught herself and blushed as she pulled her hand back. "I-I'm sorry... that was rude."

Sacha looked a bit amaze. To have read a book so much to be able to recite it. That was really cool. The dragon like Laegil had never read anything before in his life. So it was rather impressive. He laughed a bit at her blush and the fact that she had stroked his arm. He knew that his strange skin was rather curious so he shook his head, "No need to be sorry little lady. Please feel free." He said as he held his arm out for her to touch again. "It is alright I wont bite."

She tentatively reached out and ran her fingers over his arm. This is so strange... they really are scales! "Fascinating..." came out of her mouth in a soft breath as she straightened. "My name is Keeva, it's nice to meet you." She smiled up at him cheerily.

Sacha smiled and blushed a bit, "I would not say it is overly fascinating...my whole body is covered in them...no fur at all." he watched her then giggled and gave her a full mouth grin, "Oh very nice to meet you Keeva. That is a pretty name. My name is Sacha. Your fur is very soft." he said softly. He did like the warm feel of normal fur against his hard scales. Though he was warm blooded and his scales were warmer to the touch than a reptiles would be.

Keeva blushed, "It means gentle, beautiful and precious..." She covered her mouth as soon as the words left her mouth. I can't believe I just said that! Slowly she lowered her hands and cleared her throat, "So what brought you to this field?"

Sacha looked a bit shocked at her words and shook his head as she covered her mouth. He had reached out to take her hands and lower them when she did it herself so he allowed his own hands to lower, "Oh really? I am sure you are all of those things. You seem really gentle." he laughed softly and then turns back towards the field as she asked her next question. He motioned over the field. "The red flowers caught my attention. I did not know that so many were already blooming. I was hoping to find some young foals but found the flowers and butterflies, and Keeva." He turned back to her and smiled, "Well you came here to read right? Is it hard to read?"

Keeva blushed even more as he spoke, inwardly she sighed in relief as he turned away. She needed a moment of reprieve from that gaze. "So you like children? That is something that we share..." Her smile turned to an almost horrified look as his asked his last question. "D-Do you not know how to read?" She looked at his face for any trace of joking. She took a deep breath to calm herself and smiled, "Reading is an absolute joy for me, I can teach you, if you wish."

Sacha's golden gaze was nothing but friendly though unknowingly to him it could be rather intense. And he gave a bit nod. "Yes I love them. The young are my favorite type of people. So creative and fun loving. And so complicatedly simple." He laughed and then it was his turn to blush and looked for the first time embarrassed. "No...I never learned how to read. I normally just look at the pictures and well make up what I think is going on in books. But it is very good you can read." He smiles, "Thank you for the offer. Maybe someday I will take you up on the warm offer." He did not really care to learn to read it was not that important too. Though he could understand why he should learn. Then he could read to the little children.

Keeva nodded, "All you need to do is ask." She smiled then, "You are right about children being so uncomplicated, they are also very free. They don't really have obligations. I envy them at times. A child could run around in a field and waste away the day. However, if an adult is seen doing it they are often frowned at like it's some giant wrong." She walked further into the field letting her fingers skimming the petals. She was blushing as she turned to him, "Will you play with me in this field like we are children?"

Sacha gave a nod. He would keep that in mind for when he felt like doing work and trying to read. He was not a fan of work of any type. Such a stupid grown up idea. "I find most adults are in the gravest need to run in a field. They take themselves far to serious." he turned to watch her wander down into the field watching as her fingers slide over the red buds. He could not fathom the need for her darken cheeks but she spoke the one word that Sacha never refused. PLAY. His golden eyes shone brightly and he gave a broad grin, "Of course!" he laughed and nearly skipped down to her. "Shall we play a game of tag or will you hide and I shall seek you out?"
