Lotus VS Enide! Aerial Battle! [Over]

Roll a Seven: Forest Field: Thick trees, some small while others greatly exceed double your own height, sprout at random places throughout the field. Giant roots provide easy excuses for pokemon to trip if they do not watch where they are going. Spacing between the trunks vary, making passage difficult for those on the ground and in the air. This field gives a 25 HP attack boost to BUG and GRASS type attacks. This field also reduces damage from FLYING type attacks by 25 HP.

Normally Dreidyn would be estactic over this sort of field. Bug types were her specialty and the number of trees and plants were the perfect battling ground for them! But Lotus wasn't exactly a bug type... Oh well, she was sure that the Vibrava will do well anyway.

"Let's do our best!" She said as she sent out her Pokemon. Lotus was released over the treetops, but soon descended into the thick cover of leaves.

Oh boy, Enide probably wouldn't like this one. The bird pokemon would have a hard time flying through the trees. Then again, she was a fan of dark forests so she'd probably be just fine after all.

Sienna released the Murkrow straight into the forest, where she perched on a branch and surveyed her surroundings.

The murkrow spotted her opponent and without waiting for her trainer's command fired a shadow ball in their direction.

"Enide! Wait for my command next time!" She scolded

Lotus let out a small squeal as the Shadow Ball hit her squarely. She didn't even know that the battle had begun! Angered by the sudden attack, she landed on the ground and slammed her tail down to unearth some rocks and hurled them at the bird.

"Lotus!" Dreidyn was having a hard time seeing into the trees but judging from the noise it sounded like she was already attacking. That Pokemon can be so hot-tempered sometimes.

"KAWWW!" Enide screeched as she was buried in the rubble. That was quite an attack.

"Shake it off Enide and use Shadow Ball again, but use it to lower your opponent's defense!"

Enide shook herself off and begrudgingly listened to her trainer and fired another Shadow Ball.

The Shadow Ball move didn't hurt Lotus this time but the icy darkness chilled her entire body. She folded her wings and huddled against the ground, not liking this feeling.

"Come on Lotus!" Dreidyn shouted. "Let's keep it up! Rock Slide!"

Lotus turned to face the Murkrow and threw more rocks at her, ignoring the sick feeling that the Shadow Ball inflicted on her.

Sienna grinned, realizing which move to use next. "Nice dodge! Now use Mirror Move!"

The murkrow cawww'd in response and copied her opponent's previous move; Rock Slide.

Seeing rocks hurled at her was something Lotus didn't expect. She stayed motionless in surprised and only at the last minute did she attempt to dodge. Unfortunately a rock landed on her wing and she struggled for a moment before yanking it out from under it. Although the wing was definitely crumpled, it was tougher than your normal bug wing and she can still fight without being able to fly.

"That's right! Shake it off!" Dreidyn lost heart for a second but Lotus didn't seem to be hurting that much. "Use Rock Slide again!"

Lotus leaped over to another rock and used her tail to launch it into the air.

Enide took another hit from a rock, but fired another defense-lowering Shadow Ball her opponent's way.

As the Shadow Ball struck Lotus again, Dreidyn could tell that the next hits would be more and more painful, even if they tried to end this early by spamming Rock Slide. She didn't want to put her through that much, but luckily she had a move that could help.

"Ok, use Struggle Bug now!" She shouted. Lotus glanced up at the Mukrow and squirmed about cutely.

The murkrow was quite confused at the 'cute' display, and even more so as her power weakened. "Kroooow?"

"Hey snap out of it girl and use Torment!" Why she didn't think of this sooner, she wasn't sure.

Dreidyn didn't really know why her opponent used Torment but she didn't care. They were still ahead! "Ok just ignore that Lotus. Use Rock Slide!"

Lotus dug up some more rocks to fling at the Murkrow. As she did so, the Torment she recieved was nagging at the back of her mind and she became more and more uneasy as she threw her rocks.
